    When Lian Li came out with the Unifans, I knew it was only a matter of time before other companies followed suit. It's too good a feature not to get in on the action.

      I was thinking the same thing. It's nice to see another competitor finally implementing a fan connector similar to the Uni fans. Inversing the fans was also really smart, one of the things I dislike about most other fans is the massive bars on the back. As long as the performance is good They'll be on my list of potential upgrades.
      It will be interesting to see what they price these at. If they compete with the uni fans for cost/effectiveness I think they'll do really well.

      @@diebanane4239 Oh, I never saw that, thanks. So that will put them at roughly the same cost as the Uni fans. makes sense
      Let's hope they don't change the price between now and the full release. I also hope they don't price the variants differently, though I don't see why they would.

      @@everchangingworld11 Yeah, that is my hope as well. Also, because the triple bundle just comes in one "direction" (either all intake or all exhaust) many need to get 3 separate ones to fill their needs, which, of course, raises the price a little bit.

    One thing I will say about that 360mm AIO costing $250: I can go buy a retail priced Liquid Freezer II and 3 pack of T30s for it for $225 and end up with the performance of the T30 on a 38mm thick radiator. I have a hard time believing that their pump/block design is enough better to outperform a radiator which is a bit over 25% thicker.

    Phanteks makes another "T30" model, D30 RGB instead of a T30 140mm, how long can it take to design a 140mm version of that fan, many years? This is starting to be embarrassing for them. I can also see they joined the "greed-train" with insane prices for AIO's. Arctic Liquid Freezer will curb stomp them in the value department, 420mm AIO from them costs 160$ for RGB-version and 106$ for non-RGB. Companies really need to stop being insanely greedy, they don't understand that people have less money now but still wants to force increase their own profit margin.

      I believe they are called Be Quiet! Light Wings. Or put Phanteks Halos on Silent Wings Pro 4, which are better noise-normalized than even Noctua industrial (iPPC-3000) - or put them on Noctuas if you really want (have done this before and they look good). Noctua makes good fans, especially in more niche sizes, but there's plenty of competition at 120mm and especially 140mm (their updated design is yet again delayed).

    I'd be curious about the ease of install on the Phanteks fan implementation, Lian LI already has 3 versions of their click together fan but all require a hub, if these just plug into the motherboard that could be a plus in systems where you don't have the room to manage extra SATA connections, a USB connection and drgb connection like you do with the Lian LI fan hubs

    • @Mapantz1
      @Mapantz1 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Lian LI already has 3 versions of their click together fan but all require a hub"
      That's not true. The SL and AL fans could be plugged in to 5V ARGB headers by using JST/5V splitter cables. The SL Infinity fans can be bought as single packs that have 5V ARGB connectors on them.

    The old Glacier One 240 T30 (Gen1) was 38mm thick, not 27mm which the video mentions. The T30 fans will not be fully utilized on the Gen2 if they didn't increase the fins-per-inch to counteract the 20% reduction in thickness/fin surface area. Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 will most likely still be better than the Gen2 because its 38mm. I was really looking forward to 360 T30 aio but looks like they won't be worth it over liquid freezer.

    Me with only Itx builds with no fans in none of them, only the cpu cooler and power supply fans

    Let's see if the Phanteks cooler can compete with the new Snowman coolers.

    Can't wait to see static pressure tests for chunky rads. Also will these clips be on only the one side? Seems like a weak joint.

    2 years ago Lian Li introduced their unifan model, I was one of the first ppl to run and buy them at launch, 4 fans one cable, sign me up. now we see more and more manufacturers do the same and getting rid of all those nasty ugly cables that just make it harder and take longer to build a PC with. i knew it was only a matter of time until the rest of them implement the idea. Here's to hoping for a "no cables unifans" that get wireless power lmao

    for some odd reason i'm not surprised that it was fanteks out of all of them that was paying attention to what Lian li had been doing

    So you can have up to 4 fans on 1 pwm port on your motherboard?

    • @deviantbuilds
      @deviantbuilds ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends on the port rating and fan specs.

    "And the way the connect is completely different" - Proceeds to connect them exactly like lian li unifans 🤣 But in all seriousness, the caps are a nice touch, these DO look beautiful, and if they continue to use jst plugs, theoretically you could use the same hub for these and unifans. If they include these on a nice 240 aio I'd buy it
