Finally I hear a coach saying listen to your body when you train. This guy is a top coach and unique gymathlete 👏💪
He has a lot of knowledge, amazing physique and years of experience. That after 13 years I don't even saw 5 coaches in my life or on social media like him. True inspiration.

5:45 Love the humility and advice from Mike. Sometimes it's easy to get demotivated when you're unable to lift as heavy as you thought, so it's great hearing this from the man himself!

@@putinpigfker2454 when you are unable to do something, stop thinking that is the case for everybody. Exactly as you say it's easy to know Mike is using steroids, that's how it's too easy to know that you're an incapable guy who is a specialist in failure and bad critics.

I've been doing this for a long time and Mike knows his shit! What I've learned after decades of lifting is that you have to experiment and work with the ranges of motion that work for YOU as an individual. Forget what anyone else in the gym says or thinks about "FULL RANGE OF MOTION" or "Not doing it right". I've made a ton more progress focusing on just the right range of motion where I'm blasting the target muscle that is intended.

  • @jakehoffman8

I love the warmup parts of the video. Many people skip that part, but it's just as important as the lift itself in terms of longevity. If you could post a leg day warmup (I'm sure you already have but I haven't seen it) again, that would be awesome. Thanks and I love your channel

You don't need to train everything twice a week. Just do high volume 5 days a week, training one muscle group each day.
      Mon - Chest
      Tues - Back
      Wed - Arms
      Fri - Shoulders
      Sat - Legs.
5 to 8 different exercises per muscle group and keep at 3 to 4 sets. You can work in abs on any day.
Or you could do what you are doing but just train those muscles once per week and superset your exercises to save time.
