I see some people putting a brz manifold set up on the fa motor. I wanted to get your take on that and if it’s okay for the motor even though it’s an oem part from a different car. Thanks and great vid
The BRZ Manifolds work great for a reversed intake manifold and flow better than the OE WRX one. The throllte body locations changes for a short charge piping path 🔥
i see where the $7600 was spend for the engine but maperformance stage 2 kit is only $850, assuming you already have accessport, and is same specs of 330whp/350torque. but that doesnt account for you swapping things like front mount ect. Just an FYI to people looking to upgrade, you dont need all of that to get the power if you dont want it and its really no less reliable.
I'm not sure if their kit comes with the fuel. Just keep in mind for the 15+ STI you have to swap out the fuel system to run a downpipe and intake. I dont see a $850 Set up being able to provide 330/350. A downpipe alone will run you around $500. I'll look into their kit but it dosent seem feasible to make over 300 WHP with theirs. 👀 do appreciate thebinout onto the post!

Smeedia I just finished all your videos in the discussion playlist and I see a lot of great mods I need. I’ll just have to wait for the warranty to expire and put money aside until then! Is there anything I can do to reduce the heat in cylinder 4 (and 2) without the cooling mod?
Hey sir. One of your video you said “as far as I understand” you can’t run turbo back exhaust with a intake together? Right? For 2015+ but why do you have both?
You can't run an intake and downpipe on a 2015+ STI with the stock fuel system. Your injector duty cycle will be capped and cannt supply the engine with enough fuel
ETS was more reasonably price when I bought it compared to Perrin, conb etc plus the reviews from the fitment of the IC we all positive and it will hold power for future growth

Hey smeedia as long as dam is 1 on the accessport is it safe to run your car with with feedback knock being -4.95 i know thats pretty high everything else is normal except that, im wondering if the sensor isnt hearing a loose heat shield that rattles sometimes??
It's possible, what is your fine knock learn reading? I would also try s different fuel station to see if that makes any changes. Might be getting a little water in the fuel
@@Smeedia just a sec imma go crank the car and tell you does it matter cold start, cruising, or if the motor is warm?
@@bugzboolin7053 warm engine and crusing. Ideally get into boost a little
Fine knock learn says -2.81/0.00 feedback knock -4.92/0.00 DAM 1.000/1.000
@@Smeedia this was with the ac off and getting on it a couple times after it warmed up
hi wats up bro. i love ur videos keep up the good work. 1 question i runnin almost the same parts u got on the engine. im doing everythin at once as we speak. do i need a fuel presure regulator?or can i use the stock 1?
You can use the stock one but you'll have some stumble between 3-4K RPM. Also thank you and I appreciate the support!
Definitely going to mod my car for longevity like you! I did buy MY16 STi Limited in 2019 and i got the extended warranty.. will an AOS and Cylinder 4 mid void my warranty?
Sadly both of those mods will void your warranty 😫 but I would say if you want to close it go for it if not then wait until the warranty is up and then install 😁
Smeedia I just finished all your videos in the discussion playlist and I see a lot of great mods I need. I’ll just have to wait for the warranty to expire and put money aside until then! Is there anything I can do to reduce the heat in cylinder 4 (and 2) without the cooling mod?
Probsbly don’t get snow in your area right? Since it’s slammed? Lucky
I did get some snow! Lol I just air up and mob through it
@@Smeedia so what is your suggestion to be able to run both? What should I add? Bigger fuel injectors or something? Sorry newbie here. Need your guide
1050 injectors, AEM fuel pump and Cobb Fuel pressure regulator
@@Smeedia thank you so much! You’re so knowledgeable and helpful!
Just remember money comes and money goes. In this short life if it makes you happy do it we can never go backwards only forward
Exactly 🔥 can't take it with you when you move on 🙏🙏🙏
Only had my sti for about 9 months. Already in 8.5k roughly and I'm about to spend more by summer....
Its quite the addiction 😅 but like I said there are worse hobbies out there! Lol
@@Smeedia hahaha agreed.
Why did you decide to go with the ETS front mount over other brands like Perrin or Mishimoto?
ETS was more reasonably price when I bought it compared to Perrin, conb etc plus the reviews from the fitment of the IC we all positive and it will hold power for future growth
Still running stock rotors? Any plans to upgrade or are you happy with yours? Currently piecing together parts for an STI brembo upgrade on my WRX.
I'll swap to slotted here soon, just waiting until the rotors need to be replaced 😁
Smeedia Any plans of what you’ll swap to? Still trying to research a list of parts and you seem pretty knowledgeable on all things performance Subaru!
@@sethstephenson7892 I usually don't use stoptech because they're reasonable priced 😁
Smeedia “Dont”? 😂
god damn, where did you get d9r's with tires for $2400? i was looking at getting a set and was getting quotes for $2200 on wheels alone, and 18's at that
Really?! Wheels may have gone up I guess. Got mine years ago 👀
@@Smeedia I might be mistaken, I was looking at Zr10's, looks like d9r's aren't too bad, just on crazy backorder everywhere haha. anyway, they look sick on your car, I settled on a set of wedssport sa72r's myself. Out of curiosity, do your wheels clear the calipers without spacers? I was told they wouldn't
Unfortunately no😭 have to run a 9mm spacer in the front to clear the brakes
What does the stainless steel clutch line do?
Just reduces the flex of th4 line a little bit, bit a huge difference but for the pitchstip brace you need to swap it out
Good looking car, is it the banks car still or yours?
TBH still the banks lol 🤷♂️ but thank you!
@@Smeedia reason I asked I did the same exact thing with a camaro as I had lol
Lol we've all done it 😅😅😅
so what is the total cost with the car? not only the extras.
With the car, add an extra $30K 😅
How much are those wheels and what are they called?
Work emotion D9rs 🙏
How much whp are you pushing with those mods? That's my exact budget for my build I'm starting
Right now 330/350 conservatively, the car has more in it but I had the tuner keep it lower at the time
That's it!?!
Shit. I won't even mention mine. Now I feel like an asshole. Thanks bro. Rofl 🤣
Lmao adds up quick 😅 not even halfway done with the build yet. Don't even want to see the final numbers when its done 🤣
@@Smeedia I hear ya. I've been fighting the VA for 14 years and I may be getting a large amount of money. (Not a brag, just stating)
And I'll be dumping a ton into mine. Like a full Varis Widebody, TE37's, IAG stage 4 long block etc.
Wife is already pissed...... Rofl
@@Mikey6048 I know the struggle with the VA, took me 2 yes to be able to claim my knee 🙃 also got back paid and was nice they did that.
@@Smeedia Glad you got taken care of. Been fighting my blown L5/S1 from a injury in the Marines. Documented proof and everything. Keeps getting denied.
Using an outside company who is confident it'll be service connected finally and back paid to my original claim in 2006.
If it happens, my channel will get bombarded with videos showing all the new additions to the STI.
Love your videos bro.
Third comment, have you had any experience with tomei? People are telling me I'll hate the car but those people have previous gens and those have less sound deadening material.
I don't like their exhausts, personally I think they are too loud and the don't look good IMO
please please please can someone please make a spreadsheet of this I Would greatly appreciate it please please please
I'll see if I still have it saved somewhere 🙏
@@Smeedia man your awesome!! One of the only youtubers to reply to me thanks for being down to earth man love your channel!!
Because race car lol.
Hey what % tints you have.
Great video man!!
20% and thank you my dude 🙌
Hello. I was wondering I found this .
2018 Subaru WRX Premium - $27,500
It's this a good deal for a stock WRX with 44,321 miles One Owner car.
In today's market I would say that is about average 🔥
This is a great topic. I have a 19 WRX. Can you you share all your fav Subi parts suppliers other than $ubi$peed and dealer? I'm in the 206. Thanks!
I generally tend to stick with Cobb, Grimmspeed, ETS, Injector Dynamics, OEM, JDM STI, Motul, APR, AEM etc. The brands below are the ones I typically always use 😁
Subie bros and rally sport direct are good retailers too. Subie bros has lots of good JDM offerings.
Please don't ever sell it. It looks amazing.
Wow!!!
More that I thought before adding it up 😅
@@Smeedia haha! Pay to play for real! But honestly, I love this car! I would do the same thing. Time to buy some scratch off tickets!
@@donAKAthedonjp exactly! Grab me a few while your at it also 😅
@@Smeedia haha! Hey! It's for me to buy parts and leave them in boxes for later. But I'm considering voiding the warranty though.
What are those wheels?
Work emotion D9R 🔥
What's the specs on the wheels?
18x9.5 +38 🙏
@@Smeedia thx I was thinking of 18x 9 with an 35 offset
looking at this video realizing I will never get to that level of $$$$ anytime soon 😂
Definitely took a couple years to get it to that point 😅
You spent s209 money, but I'm sure it runs better than one.
Lol I know, could have had an S209 😅 mine runs pretty flawlessly
#FinancialMistake aaaaand we're cool with it.
Yesssss 😅😅😅
That’s tough! I thought STIs made good power. 5 grand on a type r and you’re mocking on 400 hp
The EJ needs a little bit of love to get up there. 😅
Smeedia still a great car though. I like your setup
Power done reliably or power done by just throwing the cobb catalog at the car? Lol
Thats insane. You could have bought a GT 350 with that money and gotten most of your money back on resale.
I know 😅 and to think I'm pumping more into it lol
@@Smeedia well if it makes you happy thats that matters. Just think of all the people that dump that kind cash in their cars and then regret it. I just got 2020 wrx premium with the sport package and I'm going to limit how much I dump into it. No more than 3 grand. Hopefully the next gen wrx gets a serious hp boost and my 20 gets traded in for that. If they can get 300 + hp on the next gen wrx i'd be a buyer.
I don't blame you, and with the potential changes Subaru will be making its a smart move to limit it. 😅 and this STI is a car I plan on keeping for a long time so I don't mind it, I enjoy the car
I took off all the brackets from hell and never put them back. Fuck those things.
Cars are money pits once you sign off on it so why not have a bit of fun in the process.
Just have to accept that point and you'll be good to go 😅
Complete your interior with the 18+ MFD 🤤
MFD? 👀
Multi function display, the screen with the boost gauge.
Anthony Bell Yup👍🏼
Smeedia I sent you a pm on IG✌🏼
Smoke um while you Gottum💯
#moneypit #subieproblems
7500 dollars for 30 bhp more than stock! your deffo changing the wrong parts for the increase imo
Car only makes 260 WHP from the factory my dude 👀 if you want to compare crank horsepower
Stock 305
This build: 370ish
I am not sure this is the right title. It may it seems like the title is converting a WRX to a STI.
How do you figure 🤔 the cars an STI
Easy solution...throw away your receipts 😂
Lop best idea right there 😅
No regrats!
As a person who maintains the paint and overall exterior condition of my car, PLEASE stop slapping your hand on the roof/A-pillar/whatever. The color is so gorgeous. Keep the scratches off. :(
It only looks good on film I promise 😅 the paint is so chipped and scratched on the front end. It needs to be corrected again, just waiting until spring to clean it up a bit 😫
You lost me at 7600 for 330 hp
Can definitely be done cheaper but it's also about 70WHP more than factory
@@Smeedia understandable but I’ve honestly look for videos like this to give me a idea in what to buy. Sti m4 or go a super sport bike route . Now with About the same amount I can go from 425 to 600 hp in the m4 with stock block reliable. So you can see my point a view. This great video and go info
The M4 would be a much better option IMO, and don't blame you one bit. Hopefully you snag whatever one works out for you! I've wanted an M2 for a while, lemme know what you end up with! 🙌
I’am sorry butt this is one video I will not see. I don’t want to know how much I will be spending on my car. 😜
Naaa i can’t resiste, I had to watch it. Great video as always!!!!
Haha it was a painful number but a good one to know 😅
