@@disneyvillainsfan1666 Question I haven't owned a Nintendo Console since the Wii so I haven't been able to play any of their great exclusives but I recently decided to get a Nintendo 3DS mainly to play the only 3 Pokemon titles I never played in X, Sun and Omega Ruby. Along with Link Between Worlds. But was wondering if Poochy and Yoshi Wolly World is worth a buy. I know it's a port of the Wii U game was just wondering if it's a good port and is worth spending like $20 bucks on. Or if I should just instead get either Super Mario 3D land or Metroid Samus Returns.

This fits with my theory that bowser jr is a biological/genetic clone of bowser. That's why baby bowser and bowser jr look alike, and why bowser jr doesn't have a mother.
Edit: forgot to add on that I know that this theory is sounds really stupid on paper, but bear with me.

I though wooly world had a huge amount of energy put into it, I would love to see it again in the switch.

Yoshi's gone through so many aesthetics, Wooly, Crafted, the stylistic choices from the SNES games, DS games, Yoshi's Story...what could be left for our dinosaur to explore. Dare we think, perhaps it's time to revisit a clay aesthetic? Perhaps Yoshi can take a leaf from Mario and pursue Paper interests?

Imagine yoshi and baby mario after super mario world 2, traveling mushroom kingdom with different side characters and baby mario can have all his power ups, yoshi can wear different boots etc...
A Yoshi game in actual non-CG Neverhood-style claymation would be amazing.
I think going back to the hand drawn look of Yoshi's Island could be amazing, especially if everything was actually drawn, crayoned, painted, etc. by hand! It could look amazing in 4K.

I always loved wooly world’s mechanic of throwing yarn at template thingies and watch them form into the respective color. I don’t know, it just filled me with such joy to watch them knit themselves and I felt a little creative watching the colors I chose come together in the levels

I think the only Crafted World song I enjoyed was the underwater/space theme, it has such a late-at-night Animal Crossing vibe.

So what Antdude is saying is that both games are good but if you want the traditional good Yoshi’s island style of gameplay then wooly world is the game for you but if wanted a unique but still good and still kinda 2d game then crafted is for you. I like that idea.
3:57 so fun fact, mario and luigi partners in time is the game that started this trend, also baby bowser does look normal for the first phase of wooly world but then looks more akin to bowser junior in the second phase

Wooly world was perhaps my favorite game when I grew up with the wii u, but since I did some moving around I cant find my origanal console, I only have the gamepad which now has a cracked screen. Thank you for helping me relive those memories

With Both games, it really depends on, how cute do you want to go? Woolly World have some awesome yarn mechanics and Crafted World has some very unique crafts that work the levels. The one thing I will say, I have played the majority of Crafted World, and only played the first 3 levels of Woolly World. My preference is for Woolly World. It's that much more enticing to get every possible Yoshi knit back together. Crafted World drove me nuts because often times I would have to replay a level over again until I got everything. What tips Woolly World for me is it's soundrack, man it's good. Crafted World's soundtrack is lacking in it's diversity.

Those bonus levels after you beat Crafted World are absolutely terrifying. I can’t tell you how many times I died before beating them without collectibles. Oh and I think crafted world wins because who has a Wii U anyway? Lol
Same. I lost count on how many times I had to play each of them. I had to play on 'Mellow Mode' and it was still hard for me. I think I'm really awful because everyone says this game is so easy.😂

Wooly World is also available on 3DS! It's much better to play it handheld mode trust me. It's such a beautiful game and I love being able to take it with me. (It's also a nice relaxing game to play while on an airplane)
I think it's been made clear that Bowser Jr. is identified by his bandana. The Bowsers in WW and CW have no bandana, therefore making them Baby Bowser.
Huh, I just realized that every game except Yoshi's Story is on a handheld, even if two of them were re-released on handhelds

You know, at the end there when you discuss punishing yourself, I honestly thought you were going to play Yoshi's New Island again.
The music from that game still makes my soul weep, for Yoshi's Island has some of the most iconic music from the SNES era, and seeing them attempt none of it hurt deeply.

One of my biggest issues with Crafted World was the overload of things to hit with your eggs. Nearly everything in the background was interactable and you never had enough eggs. Particularly bad were those timed minigames where I 100% of the time hit the ? with 1 egg left and just couldn't finish it through no fault of my own. You could waste 10 minutes per level just throwing eggs at garbage and it devalues the mechanic

I think what they were going for for the OST of Crafted was a soundtrack with music from instruments that you would find around the house, although that doesn't make it any better 😅
So hot take time. I can enjoy the crafted world music. I would never call it good but it is goofy and fun in a specific kind of way that for small amounts of time I can genuinely smile along with it.
3:52 Actually that IS Baby Bowser. Not Bowser Jr. He always was Baby Bowser, it's just that recently they just make him look like Bowser Jr. without a bib. It also doesn't help that they're voiced by the same person, so yeah, it does get confusing.
Actually Baby Bowser has no bib Bowser Jr. Does have bib remember the Bowser from wolly and crafted world is Bowser but younger plus older Bowser is not found in wolly and crafted so Antdude was wrong is just point out about Bowser

By the tail end of the episode, when I heard the Crafted World music, I realized it was a reupload & checked the description to be sure. Yeah, Crafted World's music made me check. Still watched it again anyway. XD
It feels amazing to throw eggs in Woolly World by simply tilting the controller in order to aim when playing with a Wiimote!
