Me too. My mother was an amazing cook. Her Coconut Cream Pie and Coconut Cake were some of her favorites to make. They were always so delicious. Howdy 🤠 from north Texas.
Ooh, look at that rain outside your window. Love the rain. It's honestly hard to beat a BLT. It's the perfect sandwich, and this pie looks like a perfect compliment to it. Great video!
I know you're tired! Me too. One of those running, and doing days. We should sleep good (well, hopefully you can sleep through the storm). I got my boy "Wookie" one of those thunder vest. It helped a lot!
We don't have tomatoes quite yet but we have a good farmers market here in the upstate of South Carolina. Made your yeast rolls. Great success 😋 Made your cobbler. Delicious. Tali is the real deal y'all. I'm an old cook and learn a lot from her. Canning lessons alone are good knowledge and easy instructions. I love this.
I actually made this (from your other video) at the end of May with some freshly picked strawberries and it was a hit in my house. Then tonight I made those saucy meatballs for my grandbabies and they tore them up! Great recipes. I even watch the videos for stuff my boys won't like cause I always learn something useful about cooking plus you always bring a smile to my face.
That's a good looking strawberry pie. Also the relish and the other one that you made. Thanks for sharing, i enjoy watching you cook.Where did you get your long handle slim spoons from?Y'all be blessed and have a wonderful week. ❤❤❤
Tallie Faye, I’m saving this one for sure!!!!! Omygoodness, it looks scrumptious. If you look on the container of berries, I bet they are from my area, Salinas, Ca. The Central Coast. It’s either Dole or Yaylor Farms❤ the best in the West🍓🍓🍓🍓
Hi Talli Faye ❤ We just had a big storm come thru and lost power for about an hour, but it's all good now for a few hours. Our furbabies were skeered too, but I told them, "Don't be skeered" 🤣 Pop-up storms today. Hope yours wasn't bad. Just that good ol rain 🌧 Hugs to lil Lulu 🐾 That pie looks Talli Faye amazing🍓 I just macerated a pound of strawberries last night and bought some angel food cake. Yours definitely looks more appetizing lol. Thanks for your recipe. Gonna make this sometime soon. Love yas ❤
If I wanted to cut back on the sugar there's enough sugar in the jello mix. Should I still add the water and just leave out the sugar or maybe cut the sugar in half I want to be on a low sugar diet
I’m pretty sure you could omit the sugar… just heat the water and cornstarch together and it should still become thick, then just mix in your jello pkg 😊
My family makes a very similar recipe. (FRENCH STRAWBERRY GLACé PIE) We don’t use jello though. We leave half of the berries whole to arrange over the crust. The rest we mash up in the pot and add the corn starch and water (if needed). Before putting the whole berries on the crust we *do* spread a thin layer of cream cheese on the bottom of the crust then add berries & pour the pot mixture over the berries before putting it in the refrigerator! Can also substitute with blueberries!
I made this pie last night and I can’t wait to taste it for brunch today. 😁 I wish I could post a picture to show you. It was easy!! I wasn’t scared! I kept thinking what W.W.T.F.D.? ❤
I have never tried it but I guess lemon jello would mix with the cornstarch mixture… maybe add a little real lemon juice and maybe even zest to it… it might be worth a try!!… let me know how it turns out if you try it out!😊♥️
I will make that wonderful strawberry pie tomorrow ,and (I won't be Scared ) ❤
Another winning recipe! Thank you yet again for sharing this, Talli Faye!
