    Still enjoy the Dr clips. That's the reason I started following your rides having one myself. Enjoyed watching that one thanks Phil

    Very enjoyable, just the right amount of camping footage incorporated to make this overnight adventure ride feel more adventures then some other's on youtube,, very inspiring Phil, cheers.

      Glad you enjoyed it! Gumby😎👍 Actually asked a mate at work last night what he thought of the vid- like too much on or off bike footage- and he liked the mix. I just gotta get better at filming, more interesting shots etc.

    How awesome was that randomly discovered camp spot!!

    Nice work getting some footage of the yabbie.
    Looked like a great ride.

      Was a fun escape, great to avoid the tourist circus of the coast. I should have taken a yabbie trap!

  • @motogspot
    @motogspot 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The yabbie would have made a nice snack, pity about the weather but at least your out and about, looking forward to riding some tracks and beaches up that way 😁👍🏼

      Cheers Bugman for the kind words 😎👍 Well, if you like empty roads and cool air, head up Uralla way and beyond. I didn't see one other car on the dirt roads for 3 day last week! Massive change of pace, and heat, from Sydney. Enjoy your time there 👍

    Great vid. Must be nice to get out and see some different countryside, its beautiful out there. You always manage to find the interesting things to see. Copeton Dam is on my list too. Thought I must have fallen asleep and missed Glen Innes and Inverell though, but I guess it was just boring tar :-)

    • @MidCoastAdventures
      @MidCoastAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Greg. Lots of interesting things to see- most people just race past them.... Nice out Copeton way, and some great ways to get there too 👍 Ah, yeah, lots tar between GI and Bundarra, so left it out...lol

    What a trip! Used to do a lot of camp out spray work out there, always strikes me as real swagman country, would be great to do it on a moto. How good was that campsite! Bloody Uralla- it's either cold as buggery or stinkin hot! Awesome man, cheers for takin us along, and well put together as usual 👍👍

    • @MidCoastAdventures
      @MidCoastAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kurt. I could imagine you wandering around out there with swag, an axe, and carving out a nice camp site 😉 Uralla - frozen or melting. Been through there a few times, never had a "normal" temperature....lol

    What a great trip Phil - and yeah weren't the temps weird??
    We did a lot of the same routes between Xmas and NY in the Ute - stayed at Point lookout Rd near Ebor, checked out Yarrowyck Campground and eventually got to camp in Warrabah NP for NYE. Well worth going in there, but ignore Google trying to take you in via Kingstown - that involves crossing the Namoi river, which is 30m wide and not even possible in drought, I would think! We had to go in via Manilla - if you ever do that go in via Buena Vista road, a lot more dirt and fun than simply following the Namoi river Rd from Manilla.
    What a great little camp you found and that was some capture of the Yabbie!
    Fantastic country up around there, I'll be going back a lot :)

    • @MidCoastAdventures
      @MidCoastAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do some miles David! Funny, was aiming for Warrabah NP, but feared there would be a few too many people camped there (for me that's more than just me 🤣) And yeah, seemed odd the Google suggestion across the river- I couldn't see any bridges! I'll go back for sure- and take the road you mentioned - thanks mate 😎👍

    • @CaptainCrankyMotovlogger
      @CaptainCrankyMotovlogger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MidCoastAdventures We were actually horrified when we got there that there were a LOT of people there (especially for somewhere so remote) but, surprisingly for NYE, they were all asleep by 9pm and we did find a nice, quiet spot anyway.
      If you get there and there's one more person 🤣 you could ride further in on the 4WD track to the 2 campgrounds deeper in. The first one is all weather 2wd access, so anyone can get there :)

      @@MidCoastAdventures I'd love that mate. Hopefully I have a camp planned on Kaputar on the way to the ABRMT meet up in Coonarabran - End of April. Another at Kroombit Tops after the meet. Will let you know if it becomes a reality lol :)

    As usual Phil all good filming and narrating with mistakes,which means we are human beings, and the country looks fabulous. Glad you didnt hit any cattle!!! About 2grand each at the moment.Really enjoyable trip.The GPS you use ,do you use it mainly for your navigation or any other devices as I am totally confused what to get if I do get something.Believe it or not I use Google maps and roughly work out ks ,turns and escape routes and put it in a note form to read when travelling and try to remember where I am .Havent got lost yet but the day will come.Thanks again for taking us along for the ride.

    • @MidCoastAdventures

      Hi Scott, glad you enjoyed it 😎👍 Navigation....hmmm. The GPS on the bike (Tomtom 550 Rider) is great. Load maps you make from your computer straight into it. I also have OsmAnd on my phone (a free mapping gps system that doesn't need phone service to work) Plus paper maps, and directions I write down. And I can still get disorientated....lol Take it easy mate 👍
