Great riding up on top there, not ideal in strong wind though... That Mann River is a NP paid campsite, and in fact is where I had a run in with 3 groups of people, running about $1.5M worth of caravans and 4WD's, who took the site I booked and paid for and were free-loading.... I sent them packing 😎 About 8 years ago Bill and I said we must return to Dalmorton and camp... really must do that!! Awesome trip Phil 👍
Bloody tight arses in the luxury vans! Glad you sorted them out...lol Dalmorton area is great, lots of places to free camp, and virtually no body anywhere mid week 👍 Catch ya David
Awwwsome Phil👍 Back roads are the best for history, adventures and solitude. Thier the places i go when i need to unwind. See you on on your next adventure buddy🏍️🇦🇺🌲
How nice is Mann River. One of my favourite campgrounds. It's free camping if you just lob up and pitch your tent like any NPWS campground😂😂. We camped at the exact same spot you stopped at.
Nice spot for sure Coobye 👍 I'll camp there one night on my way somewhere westward. Ideally NOT in holiday times. Might have to claim that big flat rock...lol Catch ya ,mate 🍻
If you want a good pie in Glen Innes the Furry Cow has Deepwater pies. Also Sweeties pies are the best I've ever had, the lamb and rosemary with mint sauce is sensational.
Hey Phil, I've got a question that I've been thinking about for a while. With your experience around the mid coast area do you reckon it's possible to ride mostly dirt from say Port Mac to around Evans Head without going up into the mountains. My trip up north had to be postponed and I'm not keen to ride up in the mountains in the middle of winter ( soft I know😂😂).
Hi Coobye, I don't know a lot of roads north of Coffs, but from Port - if you want to avoid the Hwy- this will take you through some nice places. But plenty of tar unfortunately north of Coffs. www.google.com.au/maps/dir/-31.4031511,152.9039253/-29.1172447,153.4302805/@-30.1177485,152.4783059,8z/data=!4m34!4m33!1m30!3m4!1m2!1d152.9006881!2d-31.0831278!3s0x6b9dde8a574e604d:0xada65722a84dc705!3m4!1m2!1d152.8809181!2d-30.7382254!3s0x6b9c2ba914e7a2e9:0xc8ba0ef9bf5a8cd5!3m4!1m2!1d152.8503323!2d-30.6137297!3s0x6b9c280cca2a4635:0x95292ad54a8dd55c!3m4!1m2!1d152.8665399!2d-30.5600163!3s0x6b9c2704b87d6dc5:0x7e7d0569baf36a34!3m4!1m2!1d152.9169808!2d-30.4136763!3s0x6b9c1f2b857a8fd3:0x7d1da49ecae903f9!3m4!1m2!1d153.003733!2d-30.1671885!3s0x6b9c07d1f536ca9b:0xaee95d9ba16f2657!1m0!3e0?entry=ttu
