This whole training arc is one of my favorites and I'm so glad you made it to season 2 coach since you were getting burnt out on season 1. Soooo funny and the positivity and growth is just 👌.
in haikyuu, you don't have to worry about character development. It will happen, even to the most "insignificant" players. It will just happen, especially when you at least expect it or have already forgotten about this possibility.
@@magacofi ok fair enough 😅 but his efforts are still highlighted and spoiler: . . . . when Hinata fell down and had to be subbed out during the Kamomedai match, Narita was subbed in and it is shown that he had to overcome his fear in order to play the best he could. It's nothing big and stuff, but I'd say the way he's portrayed is pretty nuanced

as someone surely already mentioned, at 5:02, when donny said "ouh, bokuto is encouraging tsukki", it wasnt actually bokuto but daichi, while bokuto said "you keep getting better everyday and its annoying"
I think something little talked about is Coach Ukai's improvement. He saw he made some coaching errors (expected as he is a young coach), and even he was able to take wisdom from his grandfather and the other coaches to improve his direction to the team. Everyone improved on many levels, even some of the less-intense or less-motivated characters. Motivation & improvement is contagious. You either get better or get left behind. This is why this is one of my favorite seasons.
I'm so hyped to see you reacting to the second half of this season! PS: I also love seeing you talk about real plays in the game such as you did with Brazil! Your content is great
Coach: "maybe we're gonna see some other cool hits from bokuto. He's gonna step it up a little bit" Me knowing what's next: hahahaha I've been there too
This is one of my favourite episodes and I was really excited for you to watch it. I love seeing how weeks of training and frustration are finally paying off, to the point where even Kageyama lets himself visibly express excitement when he’s always so closed off. The fact that they miss and keep failing some moves makes me really happy too, they didn’t just suddenly get perfect after nailing it once, it’s still something new for them that will take more time to master. In regards to Bokuto, I really love his character, he’s my favourite. At first he may seem like the perfect player, he’s passionate and works hard to be better and better each day, and his work pays off! He’s not the 5th best spiker in all of Japan for nothing. He’s his team’s captain, the golden player, the one who challenges both his team and his opponents to be better, to give their all to the game. Then, the Emo Mode™️ comes in and makes many think he’s just childish, when for me, it’s just another proof of his effort. Yes, it’s not a good habit for him to have, and he should definitely learn how to control his emotions, but he’s just a high schooler!! He’s got time to improve and grow up (just like Oikawa, many people dislike him because of his childishness, his skill makes them forget he’s a kid)

To be clear as well, bokuto is one of the top 5 hitters in the country. Fukurodani is nationally rated. Bokuto is known as a very strong but "Streaky" hitter. But once he is on a good streak, he is unstoppable. Akaashi holds together bokuto during his off times. The first team to realyl give a challenge to Fukurodani is the one that realized that to beat them, they have to take out both Bokuto AND Akaashi.
Man it's crazy how much I end up anticipating these uploads. Insane to think it's already been over HALF A YEAR since I started watching. I just hope you don't suffer burnout from all this heavy lifting!
It's been half a year already? OoO woah time sure passes fast, I still remember clicking the first episode, which I had saved in watch later for like a week... 😂😂 I was so happy I had another one to watch by the time I finished the first
When Tanaka spikes during the synchro attack, the dub has him say “Me do good spike! Me so happy feels!” There are a few times like that where the dub is actually funnier than the sub
This is one of my episodes of haikyuu. This training camp sounds like such a cool experience and is really what made me get into volleyball. They really just dedicate themselves to improvement and growing as a team and that sounds awesome
My favorite part of Coach Donny’s reactions is when he shows him doing all the moves in real life from actual games. As a person who started watching volleyball because of haikyu, it’s super satisfying. Thank you Coach!
Bokuto has a very short temper which makes him funnier and during Bokuto’s emo mode Coach thought Bokuto would say “Give me a toss” but Bokuto said the entire opposite 😂 And Unfortunately Bokuto play based on his emotions. The setter’s name is Akaashi btw, pronounced as Ah-kah-shi
It's a bit strange, but every time Kageyama does the new toss I can feel how the ball would feel :'D I'm a adult figure skater and when we jump and reach the highest point, it feels like we are floating mid air or standing still for a moment before we get back down. It's only a very short time, but in that moment it feels like a very long time.
You hit it right on the money! But I think Kenma is saying more than passion, it’s Hinata’s constant drive to do something new, to push further, even if that means completely reinventing himself from scratch. That commitment to growth is so strong it is both admirable and almost intimidating.
They're literally driven by spite and competitiveness but never take anything personally and takes care of each other emotionally which is really beautiful to me. Spite is an amazing motivator if used properly!
6:00 i just LOVE the brazilian reference! our volleyball is one of the few things left that still made me kind of proud of being brazilian. cant WAIT for this years olympics, we are gonna rock it (again)
Fun fact: Bokuto wears the number 4 despite being the captain of Fukorodani (captains usually wear 1), because some schools in Japan reserve #4 for the ace. Another example of this is Seijoh's ace, Iwaizumi. Funnily enough Karasuno's #4 is Nishinoya, the super libero!
spoiler: "even tanaka is working on it" (the cut shot).. ahhh I can't wait til coach sees that moment in s4 where tanaka did a cut shot. it low-key made me tear up and love tanaka more than I alrdy did.
Coach Donnys reactions are somewhat a highlight of the week. Its always something i take my time for with preparation like making a coffee or get some coconut water with a few snacks like nuts ore fruit. :) I realy love those reactions.
Coach correction on the quick. This new quick is not a bit slower than the first one. It is the same insane speed, but it stops in midair thanks to the rotation and spin Kageyama puts in it. That’s the unrealistic aspect of the quick, it can’t be done in real life(or no one has done it at least) because it needs super talent and super practice. But it’s just as fast as the first one
This is honestly one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. That feeling when all the work invested into growing and improving is finally showing itself is so rewarding it’s hard not to feel emotional!
I thought this video was supposed to be late? 😂 Anyway, no worries if you miss a week or two of uploading these reactions. We can wait! Your health is more important to us than getting these vids on time 🤗
Your passion for the sport really shows in these reactions coach. Thank you for being such a light hearted spirit. Also take care and take your time with the series and don’t feel the need to rush this amazing show for your fans sake!
I hope he plays Fly High the whole 2nd part of the season 😭😭 he won't, but I love it so the hope is still there... XD All of BURNOUT SYNDROMES openings from haikyuu make me never skip those parts, God bless that band
15:52 When I try to understand the physical possibility of the ball just stopping at the highest point, I can only think of the magnus effect due to Kageyama's spin on the ball. But even so, the direction of the spin would make the ball go up higher and not technically stop. Perhaps it spins so fast that it's able to push back the air flowing against it, but I don't know if that's possible. So, just as you've said, I think a low-spin toss almost like how a float serve would move in the air would work better.
26:38 was one of my favorite moments of Season 2 in the English Dub. He says "Me do a good spike! Me so happy feels!" and that just spoke to me on a spiritual level and echoed within my soul. I got that feeling once or twice in High School.

The way it’s animated too with the ball still and the rest spinning to them equalizing then inverting to the ball spinning and the world still... chills
**insert Yachi**
A friendly reminder coach that bokuto is among the top 5 spiker in ALL JAPAN not just "the strongest in his district" and Im so happy you like bokuto and kuroo and aakashi (fukurodani's setter) after see disapproving of oikawa due to his certain qualities ( and i agree yours perceptive of him was justifiable ✌🏻) Also you made my day better coz we are in lockdown again starting today. Lots of love from. The HAIKYUU fandom❤️
5:00 Here It's Daichi encouraging Tsukki, Bokuto is actually saying "You guys keep getting better every day, it's annoying" hahah
Did Narita get any? I read the manga too long ago :')
@@magacofi ok fair enough 😅 but his efforts are still highlighted and spoiler:

.
when Hinata fell down and had to be subbed out during the Kamomedai match, Narita was subbed in and it is shown that he had to overcome his fear in order to play the best he could. It's nothing big and stuff, but I'd say the way he's portrayed is pretty nuanced
@@Kitsunekochan971 Yooooo I didn't remember that. And well, honestly I don't mind that. The fact that there are so many highlighted characters is already way more than Furudate had to do, but did anyway ^v^
Coach: “Maybe we’ll see some other cool hits from Bokuto and he’ll step it up a bit”
Every Haikyuu fan: “You don’t know how wrong you are sir”
*Bokuto enters emo mode*
Every watcher at that comment: **it was at this moment that we knew-**
as someone surely already mentioned, at 5:02, when donny said "ouh, bokuto is encouraging tsukki", it wasnt actually bokuto but daichi, while bokuto said "you keep getting better everyday and its annoying"
I like it when coach said hey hey hey instead of bokuto 😂😂
I'm so hyped to see you reacting to the second half of this season!
PS: I also love seeing you talk about real plays in the game such as you did with Brazil! Your content is great
Coach: "maybe we're gonna see some other cool hits from bokuto. He's gonna step it up a little bit"
Me knowing what's next: hahahaha I've been there too
I CAN’T WAIT FOR THAT ONE EPISODE ABOUT ENNOSHITA!! It’s one of my favorite moments of this season.
same!!!!
I like the English dub of Tanaka's synchronized attack spike better "me made spike, me so happy feels."
The dub is so cringe its borderline epic.. lol
@@breannbubolz6583 it's not cringe, it's hilarious
That line in the dub felt very appropriate😂😂 tanaka’s english va is my favorite
@@arantxagarcia6300 Once you get over the cringe, it becomes ridiculously hilarious. I'll just assume that's how high school boys over there in the US talk lol
Also Tanaka: SNACKY TIMEEEEEEE!!!
@@arantxagarcia6300 most are.. but sometimes... Lol 🤣🤣. Hence.. epic! Especially when they change the context completely! I'm always somewhere in between facepalming and laughing.. The things that the dub has Tanaka say... Roflmao!
Hey coach, just wanted to thank you again for speaking so clearly- I'm hearing impaired so I usually need subtitles to understand but you speak so clearly I can understand everything even without subs!
This is honestly one of my favorite, if not my favorite episode from haikyuu
Coach donny predicted the fient! I love it!
It's impossible not to love Bokuto. He is 100% the star of his own show lol. Easily my favorite character
Bokuto has a very short temper which makes him funnier and during Bokuto’s emo mode Coach thought Bokuto would say “Give me a toss” but Bokuto said the entire opposite 😂
And Unfortunately Bokuto play based on his emotions.
Coach: "Maybe we're gonna see some cool hits from Bokuto"
Emo mode: *yes*
Cant wait for you to get to season 3
I’m so excited for next Saturday, Season 2 episode 11 is just special
One of the best episodes in the whole series!
You hit it right on the money! But I think Kenma is saying more than passion, it’s Hinata’s constant drive to do something new, to push further, even if that means completely reinventing himself from scratch.
That commitment to growth is so strong it is both admirable and almost intimidating.
So excited! Best part of my Saturdays
(Much love from Ireland💚🤍🧡)
Hinata and Kageyama are pulling each other along, progressing their improvement just by playing together.
They're literally driven by spite and competitiveness but never take anything personally and takes care of each other emotionally which is really beautiful to me. Spite is an amazing motivator if used properly!
It’s must be destiny that this came out as soon as I left for my lunch brake
6:00 i just LOVE the brazilian reference! our volleyball is one of the few things left that still made me kind of proud of being brazilian. cant WAIT for this years olympics, we are gonna rock it (again)
Ahh, Finally Coach Donny's ""Hey Hey Hey..."
I laughed so hard at coach expecting Bokuto to say, "Set me again!" 🤣🤣🤣
He got conned 😂
Fun fact: Bokuto wears the number 4 despite being the captain of Fukorodani (captains usually wear 1), because some schools in Japan reserve #4 for the ace. Another example of this is Seijoh's ace, Iwaizumi. Funnily enough Karasuno's #4 is Nishinoya, the super libero!
spoiler:
"even tanaka is working on it" (the cut shot).. ahhh I can't wait til coach sees that moment in s4 where tanaka did a cut shot. it low-key made me tear up and love tanaka more than I alrdy did.
Waaaaa the chills 🥺✨
Im from Brazil and its awesome when you said something about here, great react!!
Im wondering if Coach Donny gonna get his own Karasuno jerseys or merchandise in the future😁
Still waiting for Tsukki development the coach says...
I think everyone here would love to see your reaction when and if it happens.
Very hype. Instantly clicked
Hey coach. I'm from Brazil, I really appreciate your work and I love watching your Haikyuu videos for being one of my favorite animes
3 minutes! i love this series, rewatching it with ya gives me a newfound appreciation for a show i alrdy loved.
The fact that you admire those that don't even play the sport and simply just love it is outstanding. Love your videos the highlights of my day :)
I love these videos. I'm slowly falling for Coach Donny haha.
I never click this fast in any videos like I do with these reactions. Thank you Coach 💪🏼
this is my favorite episode from the entire show, really holds a special place in my heart
This is honestly one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. That feeling when all the work invested into growing and improving is finally showing itself is so rewarding it’s hard not to feel emotional!
Thanks really much for ur reactions coach
Sarah, Vic, Coach Donny, Otane. My Haikyuu reaction squad is complete!!!!! Hopefully in a few months they all get together!!!
I thought this video was supposed to be late? 😂
Anyway, no worries if you miss a week or two of uploading these reactions. We can wait! Your health is more important to us than getting these vids on time 🤗
Your passion for the sport really shows in these reactions coach. Thank you for being such a light hearted spirit. Also take care and take your time with the series and don’t feel the need to rush this amazing show for your fans sake!
I hope coach donny will rewatch the opening and ending song again before it will change in Ep 14. Hehehehe! I really like the songs in the 2nd season
I hope he plays Fly High the whole 2nd part of the season 😭😭 he won't, but I love it so the hope is still there... XD
All of BURNOUT SYNDROMES openings from haikyuu make me never skip those parts, God bless that band
Absolutely love his reaction videos. Always get in a great mood when he uploads another video!
26:38 was one of my favorite moments of Season 2 in the English Dub. He says "Me do a good spike! Me so happy feels!" and that just spoke to me on a spiritual level and echoed within my soul. I got that feeling once or twice in High School.
I had a bad day today and after watching your videos as always I feel refreshed😊
"Cogs" if probably my favorite episode to watch to see all the progression everyone on the team has made. Watching you watch this episode and reacting to everything the same way I did was so fun to see! Thanks Coach Donny!
