Ironically, the closest thing to a good ending is Adyr's. In the Radiance ending the church enacts a genocide, and everything we see of the church shows that they're legitimately worse than Adyr in a lot of ways but hide it with all the gold and glitter. In the Umbral ending, the world gets fed to a cosmic horror but that may be what awaits humanity after death anyways. At least Adyr seems like he can be reasoned with. Or maybe the best ending is Umbral, giving existence a mercy kill.

To be honest he got exiled from the world he created by his own creations so one can understand where he’s coming from, some item descriptions also state that he genuinely misses his home and yearns to return, the Adyr ending of the previous game also makes no mention of him going on a revenge spree after his return merely that he was master once more and he does keep his word so he’s likely serious about stopping all wars and suffering.
@@Sometuy11A And Adyr states in the first game that the Rhogar were made to be a mirror of humanity. Lore in the new game states that the Rhogar serve their creator with an intense fervor and loyalty that human followers of Adyr imitate, and the followers of Radiance are similarly extremely fanatical to their own cause despite how corrupt the church has become. In a way, it's like how if you place two mirrors against each other and angle them just right, you get a seemingly infinite number of reflections. That could be the explanation for why the Rhogar and Adyr followers are so violent and extreme: They are both reflecting each other, increased fervor pushing them to ever greater heights of savagery in the name of their god.
There's another aspect to consider: Contrast Adyr with, say, the Judeo-Christian God. Old testament God wasn't exactly the nicest guy, showing favoritism to Abel over Cain, visiting plagues upon Egypt culminating with the death of the firstborn, the genocide of the Great Flood, visiting suffering upon an innocent and devout follower just to win a bet, and many other acts would, honestly, be enough to inspire people to turn against him and overthrow him if they had the capability. Adyr's alleged tyranny and unleashing the Rhogar against those who turned against him seems... almost tame compared to literally wiping out 99% of humanity in a flood.
Of course, there's a lot of difference between old and new testament god, with the explanation that being incarnated as Jesus caused him to better understand mortal plight and be more forgiving. Perhaps the centuries of imprisonment and his subsequent incarnation as a human will likewise temper Adyr into a kinder and more forgiving god.
@@FirstLast-cg2nk That does explain why the Rhogar seem to get more and more savage the longer the humans in LOTF’s world rule themselves, as it only leads to more war, hatred, chaos, and greed over time. Excellent point.
The Judeo-Christian god compared to Adyr would be considered an absolute monster, and most would not have hesitated to overthrow him were they actually capable of it. Adyr’s evil before his banishment sounds more like propaganda, as we never actually get told what kind of actions he committed other than unleashing the Rhogar in self-defense.
I agree with your point about him learning to be kinder and more forgiving. When you kill him in the radiance ending, he expresses pity for you before you are subsequently wiped out by the God you devoted yourself to simply because of who you are, so I would say Adyr genuinely cares for mankind with all of their perceived flaws (even offers you forgiveness and a choice if you went against him through the game).
Furthermore, one of the three judges does somewhat encourage Harkyn to side with Adyr, stating that the god has learned his lesson.
@@Sometuy11A Yeah, but if there's one thing that tends to be the trend for Souls-likes is that people don't make wise decisions in the end. The lore of this game is that Harkyn didn't listen to that advice, refusing to use the rune of Adyr and being forced to carry it for centuries before exhaustion forces him to give it to the Judge Cleric, who ends up corrupted by that power, leading to the events that would transpire. There's every likelihood that the canon ending will be the Radiant one, and that any sequel will involve the consequences of that.
Because even with Adyr gone, the Putrid Mother of the Umbral Realm exists, an all-devouring being that dwells in the afterlife, and none of the endings deal with destroying her. In fact, the Radiant ending involves feeding Adyr, a god, to that being. Feeding a god to an all-devouring cosmic horror will definitely have long-term consequences. At least with Adyr's ending, there's a being who could potentially stand as a defense against that being. With the Radiant Path, and the revelations that the church has been using the power of the Umbral realm to further their own ends, there's not only no real defense against that... thing, but there's numerous ways that the Putrid Mother can further creep into the world of the living.
And before someone asks why the god Orias couldn't stand as a bulwark against that... there's lore indicating that there was a person who may or may not have been Orias incarnated that the Church literally killed by throwing into a pit. What happened to him? Well, you get the lore of this from the remembrance of the Congregator of Flesh. That's what became of this world's version of Jesus: Thrown into a pit, left for dead, and eventually twisted into a monster. Lords of the Fallen's world is really freakin' dark.
Probably best to think of the Sundered Monarch as the final boss and think of the deacons of Adyr and Mrs. Reskin are just bonus bosses

yea i made a back up save right before getting the adyr rune so i can pivot straight into Inferno ending path. still took several hours but got it done faster.
Adyr ending despite everything mighty actually be the best ending because you survive while in the other two you die, the only question is if orius is worthy of ruling the world and honestly i think no
@@colorpg152 I agree; the Adyr ending in the previous game doesn’t mention him causing untold suffering on humanity when he does return, merely that he was a master once more, and he doesn't stab you in the back for who you are, unlike Orius.
Orius also goes on to purge any he deems heretics, if you do get his ending. Salem Witch Trial Style

There is a Boss missing that I'm currently stuck with... Paladin's Burden in the Path of Devotion area.

You forgot 1 boss. He is called "paladin burden" he is in the near the vestige "memorial" (path of devotion memorial). When you go there fight all the enemies you will find this lady with the bow and the dogs and when you go there in umbral you will see a door. Idk at wich point you can open it but after you opened it will the boss be there. He will give you an item what you can use near the vestige "sepulchre" (defiled sepulchre). After the boss arena you can find an door in umbral ( before your first umbral stimga) and there you gind the paladin armor and the long sword

all weapons might be hard. got to farm each enemy till they drop it. Boss weapons easy. There's like almost 200 weapons. so yea. I have other things to do too instead of farming for hours lol.

Bosses are cool but the music is really lackluster. Don't know why they thought some light-hearted, star wars sounding tunes would match with these dark fantasy boss battles

What’s your opinion? Is it a wait for a sale game or you recommend getting it. Im deciding between this and jedi survivor
the updates have foxed a lot of technical issues. I have about 20 hours in this game and love it. the world is amazing, nearly on par with Lordran. bosses are fun. just some balancing issues with enemies in umbral and ranged enemies but that’s my only complaint so far. this game is gorgeous
FInished the game just now, Its really neat, if u like difficult games or if you like exploring and cool bosses, get this it is a really nice story too!
The game's worst aspects are its level design (its easy to get lost), Umbral's gimmick of infinitely respawning enemies plus one persistent miniboss if staying for too long, floaty combat and attacks causing the player to move forward resulting in a major cause of death than expected.
The best aspects are its art direction which not unique it does make the game stand out alot, its exploration which despite limited in variety you'll get plenty of value from straying from the main game unlike other soulslikes which hyperfocus on combat.
Bosses overall are mid. Most are just ok, a few are huge hits like Judge Cleric or misses like the three final bosses.
Just curious, what was your overall level when you started NG+ and NG++?
I was 110 on my first run. Then on my new pc save 140. As I was exploring and doing all extra stuff

Only thing thats wrong with the bosses is how much of them they just reuse later in the game like in the final area of bramis there is around 20 ruiners and 20 infernal enchantresses i mean it just deteriorates the original boss and at that point dont even make them a boss and make them a regular enemy or just dont reuse them so much maybe like once or twice but seriously 20 ruiners

Adyr, but he’s designed to be shit anyways since he’s severely weakened by the beacons 2/10
Hollow Crow: Another glorified Deacons of the Deep 3/10
Spurned Progeny: Basic giant boss, but it was kinda fun with a good theme that kinda reminded me of God of War OST, especially vocals. 4/10
Congregator of Flesh: Solid giant boss, but outshined by others. 6/10
Hushed Saint: Pretty tough boss for an early game boss and gives me a bit of tree sentinel flashback, but there’s a boss that I find a bit better. 6/10
Dervla: I want to rank this boss higher, but she needs more health. I hate to rank her this low since I enjoyed her a lot and she has arguably one of the best boss themes 7.5/10
Lightreaper: This is an odd case. He’s insanely hard early on due to his large health pool, but he’s too easy during the final encounter since he has less health and he barely shows off his final phase since you can strike him during transformation or when he summons his dragon. But his fight is like Lady Maria, a badass 1v1 duel. 7.5/10 like Dervla, I hate to rank him a bit low.
Tancred and Reinhold: Tancred is decent, but uses most moves used by the Hushed Saint, but has at least two different moves and that’s it. It’s a recycled Hushed Saint with the overhead slam, shield smash, and shield block. Tancred’s fight is a 6/10, but Reinhold’s fight is a 10/10. His fight is solid for a non-humanoid fight. But since they are two bosses in one, I’m giving them a 7.75/10
Pieta: Best tutorial boss with a balanced amount of health 8/10
Sundered Monarch: Amazing final boss, but I prefer the bosses above him. 8/10.
Eliane: Another great final boss and she’s no pushover like A Deer. 9/10
Judge Cleric: Is there anything else I need to say about this boss? The best main boss in the game. 10/10

thats a lot of bosses to get through to rank. But the worst boss was Adyr final boss in Radiant ending. Just horrible.
My favourite boss was either Judge Cleric or Elianne the Starved

Lies of P story feels lot better than this one, gameplay looks fun but I hate that the sound effects are so lacking, some people reviewing this game were laying about attacks feeling weighty.
I've put about 15 hours into it and the attacks feel plenty weighty, most enemies will stagger so there's gameplay feedback reinforcing that as well there's also a good (almost excessive) feeling of momentum. Being hands on with it floaty is not a word I'd use to describe it either.
The sound effects being bad is entirely subjective, they sound perfectly fine to me.

Are these in chronological order? As in, the order you should find and fight them? Because after Delyth I found some bell helmet guy that took almost 0 damage lol
I mean you can do some path in different orders so probably not. Also if they take no damage they usually have an enemy shielding them. Go into umbral and kill that blue enemy.

All three endings kind of suck? Ending each on a black screen with text is a letdown. Though by final bosses, (Elliane >> Monarch)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Adyr
As per the rest of the bosses, Judge Cleric still looks like the best of them, if not of the whole game.

Really easy boss everything is extremely slowly telegraphed all you have to do is stay calm and watch for right timings.

Remnant 2 for me! But that’s more of a roguelite. More in common gameplay wise with Gears of War than Souls.
But I’m really looking forward to dlc!

why did pieta threw herself anyway?
Considering the amount of work and effort the player has to do to get the Umbral ending... you'd think they'd at least do something special for it. But nope, nothing. Just the boring short cutscene then black screen with text. If anything the Umbral ending is the quietest and most unfulfilling of them all in my opinion. And yet everything leading up to it is extremely hype as to what may happen or who/what you'll see... then disappointment.

elden ring is open world so you can get overpowered stuff 10 minutes into a new save so I don't think it's really comparable, but overall yes I would say it's much harder than elden ring

Writing a good ending is always harder than bad one. The whole world this game has hardly any true objective good in it. Unlike Christianity which is kind of base for Orius church, he is not a capilal „G” God, but small „g” god, so he, like Adyr, is just a being, while Christian original is a basis for existence itself. For a god, desctruction of a universe is a feat of power, for a God, it is a matter of ceasing to suport its existence.
But if you are interested in theology of good and evil I would suggest writings of C. S. Lewis or Tolkien who knew how to write about good and God.
As for this game, its universe is so awful, that the best thing that can happen is to not be born. But since our protagonist is so unfortunate to exist there, he can choose to be either enslaved by Adyr, eternally digested by Putrid Mother, or annihilated by the light of Orius. So the only hope for ending that is just Radiant ending. If it would be like Orius saying: „Ok, bro, thanks for everything, you already know that living in this world is shit, so I kill your body and do absolutley nothing to your soul. That way for you it would be just like sleeping, but without awakening and nightmares, quiet and undisturbed, that way you are free of Infinite suffering, of this cesspool called universe”.
So, there are two bad endings, and one that has some potential to be neutral (Radiant), but by the observation of whole gameI world, would presume that annihilation is also some kind of everlasting suffering. .

@@mariuszgaaj2814not really. There is Harkyn in this world, game title is literally lord of Adyr, it is the only ending where you survive, also world looks much more colorful there as well. Sequel will answer all questions

Apparently no because in this game you can choose class, co op, pvp and that alone are AAA quality for most people despise this game sluggish movement.

i mean that's relative. General masses you say. That could be a week, to 2 weeks to a year. Some people still haven't finished elden ring, and give me shit for the video i did for radahn. So regardless of time people will still give shit. It's past embargo. I even waited a whole day after game release in the west before posting it. I'm not waiting several weeks to post the video.
