Here's the thing: Adyr isn't the villain in this game, and honestly isn't even directly responsible for 99.9% of what's happening. Let's break it down. Harkyn refused to use the Rune of Adyr to free the god, and when he couldn't carry it any longer, he gave it to the Judge Cleric. The Cleric, instead of sealing it away or destroying it, kept it for her own power... even as that rune started causing a plague that turns people into Rhogar. It's the misuse of Adyr's rune that is causing all of this, not Adyr himself. Let's take it a bit further, though. The church and the Hallowed Sentinels are grossly corrupt and more prone to mass murder than actually doing anything to help anyone. While the Hallowed Sentinels have the justification of being corrupted by Adyr's rune, the church is instead blatantly seeking the power of Umbral for their own purposes, even sending a hit squad to kill the child who the Hallowed Sentinels are using as a cork to seal away the entrance to the Umbral Realm and the Putrid Mother, a being that will literally devour all things, living and dead, if given the chance. Neither one cares anything for the people they're supposed to be protecting, and are actively bringing the world closer to calamity by refusing to solve the problems they themselves are creating. All of this has left the people disenfranchised and bereft of hope for any salvation from the church, causing people to form a cult around the long-lost god Adyr and working to free him. The cultists aren't following any of the old tenants of Adyr's faith, though, they're just making up stuff based on what they see, like "Adyr's Hand" leading them to sever hands and seeing the Rhogar mindlessly slaughtering people to mean that they should also be just as violent. Adyr has no control over his followers, given that he's sealed away and has no access or means of communication with our world, they're just desperate people fed up with the church's corruption and hypocrisy, turning to the only one who might be able to fix things in the only way they know how. When the cult of Adyr corrupts the beacons and Adyr is able to send Rhogar through, one of the main ones he sends is the Lightreaper, one specifically created with the intent of hunting down the Dark Crusaders, because the lamp they carry is literally tied to a being that will destroy the world if it breaks free. It's not simply out of some kind of hatred or malice, but because humans are meddling with forces they don't understand and will bring about the end of the world if they aren't stopped. Nearly all of the other bosses aren't Rhogar, but humans who have either been corrupted by Umbral or Infernal influence that wouldn't be directly tied to Adyr himself, or are just deluded into the thinking the Hallowed Sentinels are still holy. The few that are Rhogar aren't pure Rhogar, but corrupted humans caused by the plague. Just like in the first game, a large number of the "monsters" are humans that were corrupted due to someone meddling with things better left alone. If the church had been more concerned with doing good works instead of their own selfish desires and toying with Umbral, the cult of Adyr wouldn't have such a huge following and the beacons would never have been corrupted. If the Judge Cleric had destroyed the Rune of Adyr instead of tapping into its power for her own purposes, the Rhogar plague would never have occurred and large numbers of corrupted humans wouldn't be rampaging all around Mournstead. If Harkyn had used the rune as intended instead of refusing, the rune would not have been in a place and time where selfish people could use it for their own purposes, and would not have caused the Rhogar plague. The rune doesn't cause the plague, it's the misuse of the the rune that causes it. All of the problems in Mournstead stem from humans making bad decisions, if not outright self-serving and selfish ones, with Adyr and the Rhogar being the consequence of the problems in Mournstead rather than the cause.
All well said. So in the Radiant ending, attributing the coming persecution to Orius and not the church is a smooth brained move. The developers didn't understand their own story.

Only thing that bugs me with Adyr is just the Rhogar. Like…what’s their purpose? I really hope they weren’t all just created to kill. That’s a depressing existence. I hope he has at least some love for most of them. I know he’s disgusted by the Lightreaper.

As for if they are meant only for combat I can't really say since most of the Rhogar we fight are actually corrupted and distorted humans that mutated into Rhogars rather than pureblooded ones and the only pureblood Rhogar that comes to my mind being the Lightreaper is clearly a bad representative to consider since he seems utterly insane...

Then Adyr told Harkin when he become powerful enough to stop that stupid mf king and put an end to the war for your own kinds sake. In the latest game Adyr was the so called god of poeple who ruled over them until they started to put up a fight with him, then Adyr made the Rhogar in response (making things worse), then he was banished to a prison when they tried and failed to kill him and everything went shit while people tried to worship themselves and other beings. Also it was wierd how many people has been running around with lamps and all it took to kill Adyr to flash him. While he claimed that he is a god and he cannot be killed while his children tried EVERYTHING. Loke cmon Then Harkin was portrayed as a powerful guy whonscared off a powerful boss, then he was the easiest miniboss in the game. Honestly the story made no sense in this game. It's all over the place. And the changes they made was a huge let down for me too. Especially what the've done with one certain character 😢
@@j.kallai4348 The lore of the first game is that Adyr was humanity's shepherd, but he was cast out by the three Judges, who believed humanity should have free will (the second game seems to retcon this idea, now at least one of the Judges is the servant of a solar deity named Orius). Adyr created the Rhogar to subjugate humanity by force, but he lost, and was banished to what is now called the "Rhogar realm." Later Antanas (ancestor of Andreas of Ebb, the "Patches" of the second game) may have waged war against the Rhogar for self-centered and misguided reasons (he wanted to be the fourth Judge, athough he was not the mastermind of the war, the Rhogar were summoned by Kaslo as part of a plot to have Harkyn overthrow Antanas... and Adyr was 99% sure pulling the strings on both sides), but it is also a fact that Adyr wanted to return and take over the world himself. That's why he gave Harkyn the Rune of Adyr, not just to help defeat Antanas, but also give himself a foothold in our realm. The fact that he wasn't able to return means Harkyn's refused to use the rune in the way Adyr wanted him to. Fast forward to the second game, Harkyn is 1000 years old, and at some point became a lampbearer to boot. He is old and weary from the many burdens he's carried, and even seems to suffer from memory loss. At some point he entrusted the Rune of Adyr to one of the three Judges (Judge Cleric) for safekeeping, but this led to her and the Hallowed Sentinels becoming corrupted by its influence. That's why Mournstead and the beacons are in their current state. Harkyn feels responsible for what happened, so he wants to take the Rune of Adyr back... but he's too old and too broken to bear the burden anymore, so it's a bad idea to let him have it, he'll just end up doing Adyr's bidding. The rune, the lamp, the centuries of fighting, these have left him as a shell of his former self, just a monster. The dark crusaders didn't know it, but the Umbral lamp was always a tool meant to usher in the end of the world. They were created by Molhu, the last of the Nohuta, a race from before the dawn of mankind. Harkyn, Pieta, and the Lightreaper (and 99% sure also the Lampbearer) also unknowingly draw their strength from Umbral parasites created by Molhu. He's the true mastermind of the second game's events, and the threat of Umbral's hunger is greater than that of Adyr or anyone else amongst the living, god or not.

i agree, the radiance ending exposes the hypocrisy of the sentinels using the umbral to their own benefit and when they're done they deem it tainted and kill you with it after everything you did. hopefully we get a DLC (doubtful with how people shit on the game) and we can fight Orius himself. but yeah Adyr ending seems like the best out of the options at least for the deathless one still being alive
Orius does not destroy anyone and in fact it is never truly unveiled wether the Radiance comes from him or is just Humanitys own ability. 😎☀ Also we do not know if Adyr has truly created Humanity either. He just claims it and there is no comparable being with speak capability nearby to reject his claim. To me Adyr looks to wierd and kinda too infernal to have truly been a god of "Earth" or "Space" and not just Hell to begin with. 🤗 Always thought Humanity was created by another god but this one f°cked off so quickly that Adyr found an empty throne and just took over. And Humans could never see this cause it just all took place in some sort of divine realm. Being a cuck to an arrogant b°tch son of a god is definitely not the good ending. Based on both games Adyr claims to be the creator of humanity and he always gave the protagonist a choice, never forced him and never lied as far as we know it. In the 2013 he claimed to be the source of the sickness that kill Antanas's wife and kids and claimed to be the source of evil in humanity, but we dont know if its true. Antanas did many terrible things (experimenting on hundreds of people and sacraficing his soldiers) but he is claimed to be a divine agent.... SO who knows? In the 2023 game there are many atrocities done in Orions name and her followers seem to be fanatical and absolutely vicious. They also lie and mislead the lampbearers, use umbral magic to their own benefit and then toss the lampbearers aside once they achieved their goal. Also the end text implies they basically kill anyone they deem heretical which is always a pretty slippery slope, especially considering what we see during the game.

RADIANCE ENDING- Cleanse all beacons and defeat the last boss INFERNO ENDING- 1- First, defeat the Colossal Sentinels that are protecting the beacons(Ignore Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel) and do not cleanse any of them 2 - Collect the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters location (Boss - RAPTUROUS HUNTRESS OF THE DUSK ) 3- Approach and speak to the Effigy of Adyr. By doing so, the Rune of Adyr will change to the Empowered Rune of Adyr 4 - Use the Empowered Rune of Adyr on all five beacons 5- Defeat Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel and Interact with the defeat Judge cleric to enter her mind. 6 - Use Empowered Rune of Adyr on Iselle and Boom you get the ending. UMBRAL ENDING- 1) Defeat Harrower Dervla the Pledged Knight and The Unbroken Promise at the Revelation Depths 2) Return to Skyrest Bridge and purchase the Umbral Scouring Clump from Molhu. The item is to be used at the well to travel to Mother's Lull Now go back to the boss area and use the Well ( near the memory ) 3) In Mother's Lull, first, interact with the non-hostile Remnant to acquire Damarose's Seedpod. 4) Use the Seedpod on Damarose to kill her who can be located at Pilgrim's Perch. Interact with the NPC and use the Withered Rune of Adyr that kills him and grants the player with Harkyn's Umbral Parasite 14) Return to Skyrest Bridge and insert Harkyn's Parasite in the column that has an open slot in the room where Molhu is. 15) Warp into the Umbral realm and speak to Molhu to learn about your next target. 16) Speaking to Pieta and choosing to soulflay will reveal her parasite and teleport you into a boss fight. 17) Defeat the boss to acquire Elianne's Umbral Parasite. 18) Use Elianne's Parasite in the column that has an open slot in the room where Molhu is. 19) Speak to Molhu and choose "Enter Mother's Lull" to trigger a cutscene where Molhu reveals he has the last seedpod which he uses, causing him to die. This event will grant you access to the fourth and last floating platform in Mother's Lull. 20) And finally, to trigger the Umbral ending, players will simply need to use the platforms to cross the gap and reach the finale.

It was literally her puberty teenage rebel party that tried to KILL HIM and in that RESPONSE he took up arms and created actual demons to fight them, because whatever his lies are, he is right in one crucial thing: If humans are left to their devices, they WILL destroy EVERYTHING even reality itself by making room for the Putrid Mother. And if you take Orious vs. Adyr without the overpowered presence of the Putrid Mother, I would still vouche for Adyr being my actual creator and not some radiant alien bitch trying to smite me at every corner for whatever reason :D

You think the end classes reflect what happens to your character as a reward (let’s call the Radiance ending a “what if” though)? Getting embraced by the Mother also doesn’t mean complete death. Maybe you could have been reborn as the Putrid Child and just ravaged the world for things she can eat.
I don't really think so. The whole point of the Umbral ending is that there are no more things in the world to ravage, it's all consumed. the Lord class is the only one where that could make sense. Mostly because it's the only ending where the player survives.

I'd say all of these endings are bad, Orius is a prick who sees you as a puppet, Adyr's a brutal meatheaded dictator who wont shut up about strength, And the Umbral mother is an Eldritch God that wants to eat everything
Its not that hard to understand if you listen to NPC dialouge and the umbral scouring dialouge. Much easier to follow than other souls games just through dialouge
What I got from playing the game: Adyr exists, rules over the world as God. Gets overthrown by Judge Cleric and her allies, presumably Judge Warrior and Judge Rogue with the help of Orius (?). Judges rule over the world as demigods. They create the beacons in an attempt to keep Adyr sealed away. Time passes. Rune of Adyr appears in the mortal realm. Harkyn obtains the rune and safeguards it for a time before turning it over to Judge Cleric. The rune slowly deteriorates the world around it and Adyr starts sending Rhogar into the mortal realm causing conflict. Eventually Adyr's influence starts corrupting people causing any organizations to decay. Also corrupts the beacons causing further Rhogar insurrections and corruption. Starting Point for the player. Not 100% on the chronological order of everything but we're basically running around a dying world. We're just choosing how it dies.
The Inferno ending was kind of a haunting one when you think about it. After you beat the Sundered Monarch, Adyr tells you to overcharge the beacons with the rune. I stopped by Calrath first and I was surprised to see holy based enemies guarding it instead of Rogar. Like the game knows like you have already won, but your enemies are trying one last time to stop you. They even try to protect Judge Cleric when you return to use the rune on her.
I did use the Empowered Rune of Adyr and that lady that is lay cant seem too talk right anything that im missing because I cant Enter the Cleric's Mind 12:08
Theres never going to be good endings when involving gods. Its just picking the lesser evil which is the Radiance, Inferno still has life just a demon realm so to speak and Umbral is everything getting consumed
I don’t know if they got inspired by dark souls on this one but the story is the more warhammer thing ever and least with radiance you’re just dead, but with Adyr you’ll probably become a tortured soul and with umbral you become part of the mother a corpse on a wall part of the decoration

If it's anything I know on these types of games over the years, Souls-like games don't really tell/give you a clear picture on which one can be considered true. So it's more or less entirely up to the players own presumption most of the time.
how do you get the inferno ending? he runs to this adyr on all of them but all 3 had different dialogues which would mean he made different choices before he got to adyr in order to get the endings?
He wouldn’t, his followers makes it very clear what Adyr is all about: the strong kill the weak, no order, pure animalistic chaos. As fucked as the sentinels are, it’s better than that

Even adyr said that they became the very monster they were trying to get rid of along with the fact that some proclaim themselves as gods and through it, waging war here and there and have caused more problems than even he did it in his time. heck even this very act is why some have chosen to free adyr and that instead of destroying the rune, the judge cleric kept it and misused it.

Not the umbral, you get to live forever in mukbang dimension and become one with the munchies god. No worries, no bills, no suffering in conflict between beta-male gods, no worrying about tomorrow, 99% of the world doesn’t even believe that you exist, just munch munch on them from the shadows forever. I see this as an absolute win.
Also the umbral ending felt kinda like the frenzied flame ending from elden ring, giving it all to a god that ends up burning/eating the world. I liked it 👍
its a fight between the "good" (Orius) and "evil" (Adyr) about who rules the world fougt by their human / rhogar armies... and then theres the Putrid Mother which is the higher being that rules over the whole universe in which mournstead lies -> imagine two birds fight over a cookie on a humans picknick blanket the human will take it in the end regardless which bird wins

Just finished the "good" ending and....yeah To say it was underwhelming would be a high praise Dunno if I will ever bother with other endings/playthroughs after such a dissapointment

The endings are bad in the sense that they suck. At least in my opinion. I was hoping for a lot more lore and explanation as to what happened, but I got a useless haiku.

Just beat the game and sort of feel …bereft? No climactic boss, no twist, no proportional reward. I get that the journey can be the goal, but this just felt uninspired. Looking at the rest of the endings here, I’m glad I didn’t attempt them and was further disappointed. It’s like a pale , bleak shadow of Bloodborne. If even. Still, I enjoyed the world and co-op gameplay. One round is enough though.
Yeah beat Radiance and was just exhausted. Considered playing again for umbral but realized I'd have to do Pilgrims rest again so skipped it lol, had enough soulslike platforming with ganks for 1 playthrough.
I do associated the gods of lotf to the Christian God that was afk to very end of the game, lucifer who was exiled from the paradise into the hells for just being himself and the putrid mother being just the very essence of nature consuming indiscriminately just because every living things have a limited time on earth. It seemed a very inspirational "twist" from the bible and testing my moral compass since the beginning. Love this game ffs.

INFERNO ENDING- 1- First, defeat the Colossal Sentinels that are protecting the beacons(Ignore Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel) and do not cleanse any of them 2 - Collect the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters location (Boss - RAPTUROUS HUNTRESS OF THE DUSK ) 3- Approach and speak to the Effigy of Adyr. By doing so, the Rune of Adyr will change to the Empowered Rune of Adyr 4 - Use the Empowered Rune of Adyr on all five beacons 5- Defeat Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel and Interact with the defeat Judge cleric to enter her mind. 6 - Use Empowered Rune of Adyr on Iselle and Boom you get the ending. UMBRAL ENDING 1 - Defeat Harrower Dervla the Pledged Knight and The Unbroken Promise at the Revelation Depths 2 - Return to Skyrest Bridge and purchase the Umbral Scouring Clump from Molhu. The item is to be used at the well to travel to Mother's Lull Now go back to the boss area and use the Well ( near the memory ) 3- In Mother's Lull, first, interact with the non-hostile Remnant to acquire Damarose's Seedpod. 4- Use the Seedpod on Damarose to kill her who can be located at Pilgrim's Perch. You are born as a champion. You meet multiple people who are against the only god in the game. You are entrusted by the church to hold the powerful umbral lamp in order to find your way to purge the Heresy God, Adyr. However, when you actually meet Adyr, he claimed to be betrayed by the people and used their power to overthrow him, leaving him no choice but to bring heresy into the world and forced him hiding in the realm of Rhogar. This is why the game is said to have no good ending because in the end, you will die unless you want Adyr, to return to the world with revenge and he will make you his eternal champion.
This game is basically a version of human history if magic was real. Humans doing what humans do best, Orius (if he really exists) making the church “help” humans do what humans do more efficiently and Adyr just waiting to take another ride on the train of his gigantic ego. As nothing is certain, free Umbral at once. Becoming a true god's dinner doesn't seem so bad in this world.
There is no good ending in Lords of the Fallen. You have a bad ending, worse ending and nightmare ending.

Here's the thing: Adyr isn't the villain in this game, and honestly isn't even directly responsible for 99.9% of what's happening. Let's break it down. Harkyn refused to use the Rune of Adyr to free the god, and when he couldn't carry it any longer, he gave it to the Judge Cleric. The Cleric, instead of sealing it away or destroying it, kept it for her own power... even as that rune started causing a plague that turns people into Rhogar. It's the misuse of Adyr's rune that is causing all of this, not Adyr himself.
Let's take it a bit further, though. The church and the Hallowed Sentinels are grossly corrupt and more prone to mass murder than actually doing anything to help anyone. While the Hallowed Sentinels have the justification of being corrupted by Adyr's rune, the church is instead blatantly seeking the power of Umbral for their own purposes, even sending a hit squad to kill the child who the Hallowed Sentinels are using as a cork to seal away the entrance to the Umbral Realm and the Putrid Mother, a being that will literally devour all things, living and dead, if given the chance. Neither one cares anything for the people they're supposed to be protecting, and are actively bringing the world closer to calamity by refusing to solve the problems they themselves are creating.
All of this has left the people disenfranchised and bereft of hope for any salvation from the church, causing people to form a cult around the long-lost god Adyr and working to free him. The cultists aren't following any of the old tenants of Adyr's faith, though, they're just making up stuff based on what they see, like "Adyr's Hand" leading them to sever hands and seeing the Rhogar mindlessly slaughtering people to mean that they should also be just as violent. Adyr has no control over his followers, given that he's sealed away and has no access or means of communication with our world, they're just desperate people fed up with the church's corruption and hypocrisy, turning to the only one who might be able to fix things in the only way they know how.
When the cult of Adyr corrupts the beacons and Adyr is able to send Rhogar through, one of the main ones he sends is the Lightreaper, one specifically created with the intent of hunting down the Dark Crusaders, because the lamp they carry is literally tied to a being that will destroy the world if it breaks free. It's not simply out of some kind of hatred or malice, but because humans are meddling with forces they don't understand and will bring about the end of the world if they aren't stopped.
Nearly all of the other bosses aren't Rhogar, but humans who have either been corrupted by Umbral or Infernal influence that wouldn't be directly tied to Adyr himself, or are just deluded into the thinking the Hallowed Sentinels are still holy. The few that are Rhogar aren't pure Rhogar, but corrupted humans caused by the plague. Just like in the first game, a large number of the "monsters" are humans that were corrupted due to someone meddling with things better left alone.
If the church had been more concerned with doing good works instead of their own selfish desires and toying with Umbral, the cult of Adyr wouldn't have such a huge following and the beacons would never have been corrupted. If the Judge Cleric had destroyed the Rune of Adyr instead of tapping into its power for her own purposes, the Rhogar plague would never have occurred and large numbers of corrupted humans wouldn't be rampaging all around Mournstead. If Harkyn had used the rune as intended instead of refusing, the rune would not have been in a place and time where selfish people could use it for their own purposes, and would not have caused the Rhogar plague. The rune doesn't cause the plague, it's the misuse of the the rune that causes it.
All of the problems in Mournstead stem from humans making bad decisions, if not outright self-serving and selfish ones, with Adyr and the Rhogar being the consequence of the problems in Mournstead rather than the cause.
All well said. So in the Radiant ending, attributing the coming persecution to Orius and not the church is a smooth brained move. The developers didn't understand their own story.

As for if they are meant only for combat I can't really say since most of the Rhogar we fight are actually corrupted and distorted humans that mutated into Rhogars rather than pureblooded ones and the only pureblood Rhogar that comes to my mind being the Lightreaper is clearly a bad representative to consider since he seems utterly insane...
I feel bad for Adyr. In the first game he wasn't even a bad guy. He literally told you that you were just a pawn being misdirected to hide something worse.
He's the same in this game, he just looks more "demonic," which makes sense given that the Rhogar are his servitors.

Then Adyr told Harkin when he become powerful enough to stop that stupid mf king and put an end to the war for your own kinds sake. In the latest game Adyr was the so called god of poeple who ruled over them until they started to put up a fight with him, then Adyr made the Rhogar in response (making things worse), then he was banished to a prison when they tried and failed to kill him and everything went shit while people tried to worship themselves and other beings.
Also it was wierd how many people has been running around with lamps and all it took to kill Adyr to flash him. While he claimed that he is a god and he cannot be killed while his children tried EVERYTHING. Loke cmon
Then Harkin was portrayed as a powerful guy whonscared off a powerful boss, then he was the easiest miniboss in the game.
Honestly the story made no sense in this game. It's all over the place. And the changes they made was a huge let down for me too. Especially what the've done with one certain character 😢
@@j.kallai4348 The lore of the first game is that Adyr was humanity's shepherd, but he was cast out by the three Judges, who believed humanity should have free will (the second game seems to retcon this idea, now at least one of the Judges is the servant of a solar deity named Orius). Adyr created the Rhogar to subjugate humanity by force, but he lost, and was banished to what is now called the "Rhogar realm." Later Antanas (ancestor of Andreas of Ebb, the "Patches" of the second game) may have waged war against the Rhogar for self-centered and misguided reasons (he wanted to be the fourth Judge, athough he was not the mastermind of the war, the Rhogar were summoned by Kaslo as part of a plot to have Harkyn overthrow Antanas... and Adyr was 99% sure pulling the strings on both sides), but it is also a fact that Adyr wanted to return and take over the world himself. That's why he gave Harkyn the Rune of Adyr, not just to help defeat Antanas, but also give himself a foothold in our realm. The fact that he wasn't able to return means Harkyn's refused to use the rune in the way Adyr wanted him to.
Fast forward to the second game, Harkyn is 1000 years old, and at some point became a lampbearer to boot. He is old and weary from the many burdens he's carried, and even seems to suffer from memory loss. At some point he entrusted the Rune of Adyr to one of the three Judges (Judge Cleric) for safekeeping, but this led to her and the Hallowed Sentinels becoming corrupted by its influence. That's why Mournstead and the beacons are in their current state. Harkyn feels responsible for what happened, so he wants to take the Rune of Adyr back... but he's too old and too broken to bear the burden anymore, so it's a bad idea to let him have it, he'll just end up doing Adyr's bidding. The rune, the lamp, the centuries of fighting, these have left him as a shell of his former self, just a monster.
The dark crusaders didn't know it, but the Umbral lamp was always a tool meant to usher in the end of the world. They were created by Molhu, the last of the Nohuta, a race from before the dawn of mankind. Harkyn, Pieta, and the Lightreaper (and 99% sure also the Lampbearer) also unknowingly draw their strength from Umbral parasites created by Molhu. He's the true mastermind of the second game's events, and the threat of Umbral's hunger is greater than that of Adyr or anyone else amongst the living, god or not.

i agree, the radiance ending exposes the hypocrisy of the sentinels using the umbral to their own benefit and when they're done they deem it tainted and kill you with it after everything you did. hopefully we get a DLC (doubtful with how people shit on the game) and we can fight Orius himself. but yeah Adyr ending seems like the best out of the options at least for the deathless one still being alive

Based on both games Adyr claims to be the creator of humanity and he always gave the protagonist a choice, never forced him and never lied as far as we know it. In the 2013 he claimed to be the source of the sickness that kill Antanas's wife and kids and claimed to be the source of evil in humanity, but we dont know if its true. Antanas did many terrible things (experimenting on hundreds of people and sacraficing his soldiers) but he is claimed to be a divine agent.... SO who knows?
In the 2023 game there are many atrocities done in Orions name and her followers seem to be fanatical and absolutely vicious. They also lie and mislead the lampbearers, use umbral magic to their own benefit and then toss the lampbearers aside once they achieved their goal. Also the end text implies they basically kill anyone they deem heretical which is always a pretty slippery slope, especially considering what we see during the game.

How to get all ending ?
RADIANCE ENDING- Cleanse all beacons and defeat the last boss
INFERNO ENDING-
1- First, defeat the Colossal Sentinels that are protecting the beacons(Ignore Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel) and do not cleanse any of them
2 - Collect the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters location (Boss - RAPTUROUS HUNTRESS OF THE DUSK )
3- Approach and speak to the Effigy of Adyr. By doing so, the Rune of Adyr will change to the Empowered Rune of Adyr
4 - Use the Empowered Rune of Adyr on all five beacons
5- Defeat Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel and Interact with the defeat Judge cleric to enter her mind.
6 - Use Empowered Rune of Adyr on Iselle and Boom you get the ending.
UMBRAL ENDING-
1) Defeat Harrower Dervla the Pledged Knight and The Unbroken Promise at the Revelation Depths
2) Return to Skyrest Bridge and purchase the Umbral Scouring Clump from Molhu. The item is to be used at the well to travel to Mother's Lull Now go back to the boss area and use the Well ( near the memory )
3) In Mother's Lull, first, interact with the non-hostile Remnant to acquire Damarose's Seedpod.
4) Use the Seedpod on Damarose to kill her who can be located at Pilgrim's Perch. By doing this, it will grant access to the first floating platform in Mother's Lull.
5) Next, interact with the non-hostile Remnant in Mother's Lull to acquire Gerlinde's Seedpod.

It was literally her puberty teenage rebel party that tried to KILL HIM and in that RESPONSE he took up arms and created actual demons to fight them, because whatever his lies are, he is right in one crucial thing: If humans are left to their devices, they WILL destroy EVERYTHING even reality itself by making room for the Putrid Mother.
And if you take Orious vs. Adyr without the overpowered presence of the Putrid Mother, I would still vouche for Adyr being my actual creator and not some radiant alien bitch trying to smite me at every corner for whatever reason :D

This game makes you question your morality and at the end, the one that they deemed evil are the true one.
Morality is questioned from the very first lines when you start a new game, and from that sounds like a "don't do what the light tells you to"
You think the end classes reflect what happens to your character as a reward (let’s call the Radiance ending a “what if” though)? Getting embraced by the Mother also doesn’t mean complete death. Maybe you could have been reborn as the Putrid Child and just ravaged the world for things she can eat.
I don't really think so. The whole point of the Umbral ending is that there are no more things in the world to ravage, it's all consumed.
the Lord class is the only one where that could make sense. Mostly because it's the only ending where the player survives.

The Umbral ending reminds me of SMT4 ending with "The White". Also an option ending if you messed up picking a different ending route.

Its not that hard to understand if you listen to NPC dialouge and the umbral scouring dialouge. Much easier to follow than other souls games just through dialouge

What I got from playing the game:
Adyr exists, rules over the world as God. Gets overthrown by Judge Cleric and her allies, presumably Judge Warrior and Judge Rogue with the help of Orius (?). Judges rule over the world as demigods. They create the beacons in an attempt to keep Adyr sealed away. Time passes. Rune of Adyr appears in the mortal realm. Harkyn obtains the rune and safeguards it for a time before turning it over to Judge Cleric. The rune slowly deteriorates the world around it and Adyr starts sending Rhogar into the mortal realm causing conflict. Eventually Adyr's influence starts corrupting people causing any organizations to decay. Also corrupts the beacons causing further Rhogar insurrections and corruption. Starting Point for the player.
Not 100% on the chronological order of everything but we're basically running around a dying world. We're just choosing how it dies.
Just don't go with the radiance ending just to not go to the boss fight

I thought one of the endings would show "in light, we walk", but none of them show this sentence. Am I right?
The Inferno ending was kind of a haunting one when you think about it. After you beat the Sundered Monarch, Adyr tells you to overcharge the beacons with the rune. I stopped by Calrath first and I was surprised to see holy based enemies guarding it instead of Rogar. Like the game knows like you have already won, but your enemies are trying one last time to stop you. They even try to protect Judge Cleric when you return to use the rune on her.
Adyr was the good guy all this time

Theres never going to be good endings when involving gods. Its just picking the lesser evil which is the Radiance, Inferno still has life just a demon realm so to speak and Umbral is everything getting consumed

If it's anything I know on these types of games over the years, Souls-like games don't really tell/give you a clear picture on which one can be considered true. So it's more or less entirely up to the players own presumption most of the time.

Even adyr said that they became the very monster they were trying to get rid of along with the fact that some proclaim themselves as gods and through it, waging war here and there and have caused more problems than even he did it in his time.
heck even this very act is why some have chosen to free adyr and that instead of destroying the rune, the judge cleric kept it and misused it.

Just beat the game and sort of feel …bereft? No climactic boss, no twist, no proportional reward. I get that the journey can be the goal, but this just felt uninspired.
Looking at the rest of the endings here, I’m glad I didn’t attempt them and was further disappointed. It’s like a pale , bleak shadow of Bloodborne. If even.
Still, I enjoyed the world and co-op gameplay. One round is enough though.

I do associated the gods of lotf to the Christian God that was afk to very end of the game, lucifer who was exiled from the paradise into the hells for just being himself and the putrid mother being just the very essence of nature consuming indiscriminately just because every living things have a limited time on earth. It seemed a very inspirational "twist" from the bible and testing my moral compass since the beginning. Love this game ffs.

I still don’t understand the story.
the main story is simple
you have been chosen by the lamp for continue issac (dark crusader) job to clean all beacon.
You are born as a champion. You meet multiple people who are against the only god in the game. You are entrusted by the church to hold the powerful umbral lamp in order to find your way to purge the Heresy God, Adyr. However, when you actually meet Adyr, he claimed to be betrayed by the people and used their power to overthrow him, leaving him no choice but to bring heresy into the world and forced him hiding in the realm of Rhogar. This is why the game is said to have no good ending because in the end, you will die unless you want Adyr, to return to the world with revenge and he will make you his eternal champion.

Inferno is definitely the best ending.
This game is basically a version of human history if magic was real. Humans doing what humans do best, Orius (if he really exists) making the church “help” humans do what humans do more efficiently and Adyr just waiting to take another ride on the train of his gigantic ego.
As nothing is certain, free Umbral at once. Becoming a true god's dinner doesn't seem so bad in this world.
