She didn’t try to give half of her power ichigo took it by accident 1 because he can’t control spirit energy at all til way later and 2 because his natural spirit energy is just huge and like a flowing sinking that’s not turned off.
Wrong, Rukia tried to give ichigo only half of her powers, however he took almost all due to his massive reiryoku, not his lack of control over his rietsu. Even while giving the sink analogy uryu realized he was wrong about ichigos rietsu being on full blast all the time, and that ichigos reiryoku is so massive that what he initially thought was always flowing on high, was actually just the overflow.

Also i just wanna state for the record Gin’s Bankai reveal (while at first glance wasn’t spectacular) when he said “Kamishini no Yari” was the coldest Bankai reveal. The way he said it was no calm yet malevolent it always gives me chills
I was particularly fond of how he was totally honest and kept giving Ichigo just enough information to mislead him about his Zanpakuto's abilities! Only time in anime were telling your opponent about your abilities was a good thing(very recent exception made for JJK i.e. "Showing your Hand"). Gin was absolutely amazingly well written for what little screentime he got!
Definitely finish the soul society, get a general gist on the "aizen arc" and I'm sure his explanation for the fullbringer arf is good enough to skip it, although it's actually really good with cool plot twists.

Nice summarization! If you're considering doing more Bleach content then I think videos about each of the different factions like shinigamis, hallows/arrancars, quincies, and fullbringers would be interesting. Or a video on the top sternritters or schrifts would be interesting too.

I cannot explain how excited I was when TYBW was announced for an anime. I read the manga cover to cover many years ago, and I've been so happy with the anime representation.

I remember in the epsiode where ichigo gets his powers for the first time and we see his zanpakto, ryukia tells ichigo that the size of ones zanpakto respresents the power that the holder posseses, and ichigo's zanpakto is one of the biggest zanpaktos she remembers ever seeing. I loved this. Thanks for the recap its been years if not like an entire decade so everything was sort of a blur and i couldnt remember timeline wise when certain things had happened. This show just had so many different plots happening all the time all at once so i needed a refresher lol.

He was in the 11th and before that the 5th, but Yachiru was the 11th Lieutenant. 2) Grimmjow did not die. He is one of 2 Espada to survive. 3) I'm pretty sure Gin's name is with a hard G. 4) Espada 5 is named Nnoitra. Gilga is his family name.
Just fyi, Ichigo didn’t necessarily hollowify. His Shinigami and Hollow powers are inherently linked together. Which is why Ichigos zanpakto is just hollow ichigo.
the Hime filler i could tell back then but thought the Bountu was a legit journey until i the i caught the midst of it, and figured it was a filler arc and not associated about the hunt down of Aizen onwards but however the zanpanktou arc was a essential lore peace for Bleach and the Shinigami.
I haven't watched Bleach in years and stopped reading it in college after the fight against Aizen, just lost interest but I had friends who were interested in watching the new season and I just didn't have the time to rewatch / read certain key parts in time before it started. This helped plenty, thanks man

Bleach was always my favorite of the Big Three, and I am so happy it is back. I can tell you've put a ton of work into this, and although I don't need it, cuz not only do I have an incredible memory so I remember clearly everything in Bleach, I've read/watched the series multiple times. This is amazing. I watched up until the last 13 episodes, but because of life, things happened that I just never got around to finishing it. And then so much time passed that I felt that I needed to rewatch the entire anime just to understand those last 13 episodes that I missed. So this really refreshed my memory and also now I can watch those last episodes knowing and remembering wtf is happening haha. So excited for the TYBW.
Minor nitpick/correction - Renji isn't the lieutenant of Squad 11, he's the lieutenant of Squad 6. Yachiru is the lieutenant of Squad 11, and Renji was a former member of that squadron.

So not entirely correct, technically the only confirmed Vasto Lorde were Halibel, stark, ulquiora, and grimmjow in TYBW. Grimmjow and all of his fraccion were only Adjujas when they became arancar. And Ulqiora turns to dust when he finds hope and understands love. His aspect is dispair and he died when he defied it.

Can you do a in depth explaining the differences between the powers in the series. For example the differences, pros and cons of being a soul society member vs Quincy vs full bringer vs someone like Ichigo who has multiple and what the power up give him specifically. You could even rank them. Think you'd do great.

I think I somehow missed the part where Rukia was weakened by the hogyoku, leading the beginning of the anime series to make way more sense. I disagree with your take that the Arrancar arc sucks though. The Arrancar arc had a lot links with depression, which I thought was neat. Ichigo was struggling against White Zetsu being within him, so that was why he was so hesitant to use the vizard mask
Yeah the hogyoku and the substitute soul reaper badge are the two things in the show I struggle to understand no matter how many times they’re explained.

This is actually a pretty good summary of hundreds ish hours of bleach (that if you cut out all the filler/side stories). Definitely enough/ probably enough to watch TYBW without having to got back and (re)watch the 400+ episodes of the original bleach. Obviously if you have time you should go watch it (and maybe skip the filler seasons/episodes which you can look up) just for more depth and character development. However as just a refresher this is really really good and engaging. I like the energy you bring to these videos!!

So not entirely correct, technically the only confirmed Vasto Lorde were Halibel, stark, ulquiora, and grimmjow in TYBW. Grimmjow and all of his fraccion were only Adjujas when they became arancar. And Ulqiora turns to dust when he finds hope and understands love. His aspect is dispair and he died when he defied it.

Arrancars do not start put as vasto lordes, it is clearly stated that none of them were vasto lordes not even the espada. It’s never clearly stated but the only vasto lorde is probably hollow ichigo from the fight against ulquiorra

Can you do a in depth explaining the differences between the powers in the series. For example the differences, pros and cons of being a soul society member vs Quincy vs full bringer vs someone like Ichigo who has multiple and what the power up give him specifically. You could even rank them. Think you'd do great.

I think I somehow missed the part where Rukia was weakened by the hogyoku, leading the beginning of the anime series to make way more sense.
I disagree with your take that the Arrancar arc sucks though. The Arrancar arc had a lot links with depression, which I thought was neat. Ichigo was struggling against White Zetsu being within him, so that was why he was so hesitant to use the vizard mask
Yeah the hogyoku and the substitute soul reaper badge are the two things in the show I struggle to understand no matter how many times they’re explained.

i like at the beginning of bleach , they made it like its a thing that quincy destroy the soul , wthout allowance to ss, so theyre not supposed to be killing hollows. but towards the end, uryu just killing hundreds by the frame lol

A resurrection is the sword release all Espada have. The segunde tapa is specific to ulquiorra. He has his first release the emo bat, then his second release not even sizen knew about which was the bigger emo bat. So in theory, he's number 4 by choice, if sizen saw his second state he'd have been promoted highly

Bro I haven’t even watched this full video yet but I’m 3 episodes into tybw and was confused asf because I couldn’t remember half the names and powers they all have, and when the quinces showed up my confusion only grew, thanks for a making a full recap and explaining some lore

This is actually a pretty good summary of hundreds ish hours of bleach (that if you cut out all the filler/side stories). Definitely enough/ probably enough to watch TYBW without having to got back and (re)watch the 400+ episodes of the original bleach.
Obviously if you have time you should go watch it (and maybe skip the filler seasons/episodes which you can look up) just for more depth and character development.
However as just a refresher this is really really good and engaging. I like the energy you bring to these videos!!
