You’re almost correct. The act of splitting up the soul king was called “the original sin” where the heads of 4/5 of the noble clans were afraid of the soul king and wanted his power. The shiba family head offered himself in place of the soul king, but the soul king willingly let them split him up.

There's only 13 episodes of new content to cover, and most of it doesn't need an explanation, hence not a lot to cover yet.
Correction. Only the shiba ancestor worried about the hollows. The other noble ancestors had different goals. Kuchiki wanted order . Shioin (can't spell) wanted a cycle of reincarnation to bring progress. The unknown ancestor wanted to close up the pit of chaos called hell. Tsunayashiro feared the power of the SK . Misaki was a pure blooded Quincy, and Byakuya (as well as several other characters) talked about how big of a deal having royal blood is. There's also this one シ (shi) which is actually different from the one above ツ (tsu). Though technically it's not tsu, but the smaller version ッ which is used when representing a double consonant sound, in this case 'hha'
To explain it further for anyone who's interested
ユ - yu
ー - extends the preceding vowel sound making it 'yuu'
ハ - ha
バ - ba
ッ - represents an incoming double consonant sound
ハ - ha
In English it's Yu-ha-va-ha so the Japanese pronunciation makes sense there

Just to clarify, Soul king allowed them to seal him and he even allowed them to cut off his limbs because they were afraid he would break the seal because of how powerful he was.

small correction,
Reishi that quincies absorbs as their power and reishi that can manipulate as their power did not come from the Reio.
Reishi is particle that comes up everything in the bleach cosmology.
in CFYOW it was never implied that the Reio created the primordial world, what he did is he divided the primordial world into multiple worlds that is now we call the bleach universe.
so the concept of Reishi was already there even before the SK came to existence it was never part of him.
Also, Soul King did not divide primordial world by himself. Five noble houses did that (using SK powers ofc, but still).

While, yes, the 5 noble clans did agree on using reio as linchpin for creating something like this and gets reio to also agree. The splitting of primordial universe is still an action of reio himself, since almighty is his ocular prowess which can't be used by anyone else.
they didnt just team up... the soul kings was trying to protect human souls but he was destroying the balance of that world so the ''powerful beings'/clan head ancestors' decided the world needs to be split up, fulfilling the requests of each of the clan heads whilst simultaneously creating the cycle of souls and a stable system. The soul king was also only willingly incapacitated because they feared his strength but he was needed to create and to stabilize the system they created.

@theweebcommander Not all fullbringers get a nail. One in CFYOW by the name of Aura, recieved his soul chain. There is also some implications that Gremmy was the Soul King's brain. This all has lead to a lot of speculation on what part Ichigo may have inherited to be a fullbringer. It is speculated, Kisuke added a piece to the gigai he made for Isshin. What that piece could truly be may play a role in the new Hell arc.

the rushed finish of bleach was mainly due to Kubo's health issues than the jump editors. he's said so himself that they really tried to help him out.
exactly... plus it wouldn't make sense to keep investing in Kubo (for BTW & the new Hell Arc) if they wanted him to "end the series" due to "popularity issues"... also it seems like now Kubo is in full control of the work he wants to put out, which is pretty much a good thing for Kubo fans knowing he's comfortable cooking up his series.
Doesn't change the fact that he got treated like ass by Jump. He had severe health issues but he also was forced to end the story. But we'll see it expanded in the anime so its good in the end.
@@renftw7238 The "popularity issues" I think you got confused with the anime, which was debunked because the anime reached the manga, but instead of making an entire new filler arc like it was usually done they just ended the show and greenlit it back in 2017. At that peroid 2012-13 anime in general really stopped having filler, and went for the approach we have nowadays

Depends on what you mean surpass, in the same plane of existence, maybe, but being stronger depends on what the soul king really is. He seems to be entwined with reality, so the Soul King as a linchpin has more power than anyone else; but as a singular being not acting as a linchpin main he’d be approachable

That backstory needs a retcon. 1 million years is implausible. It would have been much more realistic if it was only 2000 years. And i prefer it if the soul king himself was just a human as well, or more accurately a quincy, rather then emerging out of necessity. You run into a conundrum where now you need god to create god because who determines that necessity? Also, how was YHVH born if the soul king was already sealed? The chronology is a little bit messed up.
The zoroastrians once claimed that zoroastor lived over 10,000 years ago. Perhaps the sternritter were that zealotous that they rewrote their own history, much like other fanatics often do.

Kubo was at least happy he drew the ending he wanted. Ofc, Kubo said that, but given the context of what was happening back then, it was a bit different, so I wouldn't say it's just the health without mentioning Jump and how shitty they can be.

His potential is to hold the soul kings office, not usurp his power...the proof is in how he never stood a chance against ywarch without the help of uuryu's antithesis... And ywarch was only using the eyes he inherited from the soul king (of whom had the clairvoyant experience for millions of years)... basically with the information given in CFYOW to sum it up the entire story of bleach was all the soul kings plan through his power of the original Almighty. He martyred himself to create stability and passed his throne (perverted godlike vegetable state) to his son and heir... ywarch, of who's corpse is now held in place. Ichigo could never compare to this nigh incomprehensible level of power when all he amounts to is swordplay...I'm not knocking the MC but only the potency of his spirit has the kings potential that's literally all

This video is a bit misleading as he missed key details that make him undermine just how powerful Reio truly was..to sum it up the WHOLE story of bleach was the spirit king creating stability and then fortifying that stability by passing his station to his son and heir( the godlike vegetable state) and in the process formulating antibodies to protect the stability (the 5 war potentials) that still protect his design even in the events of CFYOW

The clouds fell from the heavens and enveloped the soul society as angels deemed everyone a threat and started slaughtering everyone that couldn't defend themselves. Hell opened up from cracks in the ground and started swallowing anyone that fell into the gaping maw. Ichigo was trying to choose between defending everyone and pursuing Aizin. Rangiku fell into hell after saving somebody. Then the dream went somewhere else.
