Hi, thanks for the video! Mine popped out and taken half of the plastic socket with it so it’s only a matter of time before it happens again. The Amazon link you put in the description has expired. What are those aftermarket connectors called?? Mine’s an F56 model and hoping to try and replace the connector before looking at doing the whole linkage cable! Cheers 👍

Hi does the proper clamp work on a 2005 mini cooper? I followed the ebay link you posted for someone for the Matlock vauxhall vivaro but it says it does not fit my mini. Is this just because its not specifically for my model or will it definitely fit? Thanks.
2009 Mini Cooper 100,000 miles, manual transmission. With the engine running, when the clutch is released, it sits like it is in neutral. Does not even try to move. With the engine running I can run through the gears without the clutch and I hear no grinding. The shifter feels normal, not tight, not sloppy. Any ideas?? Please help.
The most common issue would be a broken driveshaft where it’s corroded all the CV joint has totally collapsed if that is not the case it may well be the clutch is either worn or become detached at the plate worst scenario is the gearbox has failed but that isn’t very likely Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
This actually was my initial problem. Upon slow rolling into a gas station and playing with the clutch and shifter for an hour or so, my mini became stuck in 3rd. So now I'm not sure what the issue is. Anything for me?
@@aaanton11 no it hasn't popped off again. I used a couple thick zip ties to hold it together. Although, Im unable to find the correct replacement for it. If you could send a link to one I would greatly appreciate it. For specs its an 03 Mini Cooper S.
Seems to be the same issue for me. But the car won't move and will only roll when the engine is off. With the engine on it just stalls Asif all the brakes are stuck on but aren't.. weird...
@@aaanton11 will let you know how it goes. If it's in-between gears would that act like park on an automatic? Can't get my head around it and I'm good with cars haha!

If you can't find it on eBay, try Mini Mania. Not sure if they ship to your side of the pond (I'm in the US), but that's where I get all my Mini parts for my 2002 non-S model.

if your lever is floppy, the gearbox might be between gears which can cause all sorts of weird faults, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
