Even the thumbnail for the second video is terrible and insensitive! I mean, they literally put a fake teardrop and a red arrow pointing from the dead bunny to a clip art gravestone?! They also clearly posed for the picture pretending to look sad and held the dead bunny up to the camera!

Exactly. If they truly respected that rabbit they would have handled the situation better. First he would have taken it to the vet. Second he would have taken the death seriously and not made the thumbnail so fake and insensitive
He “rescued” a bunny, and it died. He “rescued” birds, they died. And now, its a Guinea pig? He “rescued” so many animals, and they all died. We’re getting suspicious...
It's for views. His intentions mightve not been to kill it, but I don't think the acts of "rescuing" was done out of the kindness of his heart. I wish he would've gotten a clue about the importance of educating himself more on the animal hes saving's needs after the first death, but I suppose I will never understand people.
Rescued animals did not get the right care before they were rescued by him. Its difficult so say its his fault.
@@merlinhamsters668 still.. in the bunnies' case..he didn't know a lot of basic things so it's clear he didn't even bother to google. Also if you really care about animals you know that the best and only logical thing to do is immediately get whatever animal you found to the vet.
Even with good intentions he IS kinda at fault. After all he is probably just liking the attention he's getting for these kinda videos. The way he treated the bunny after it died wasn't very...animal-loving.

If he’s “rescuing animals” he should bring them ALL to the vet instead of trying to “take care” of it at home. Or this will just happen. He needs to bring EVERY animal he’s rescuing to the vet ASAP even if it seems ok there could be other things going on. This upsets me. If you don’t have funds to be taking an animal to the vet you shouldn’t be rescuing animals

Came here after seeing his 'rip rescued bird' pop up in my recommendeds again... idk what this kid is doing but it's disgusting that his channel has 1mil subs and so many of his vids are "we 'found'/'rescued' this animal" and then a week later "it's dead!" He NEVER takes them to the vet and it's disgusting. He doesn't have any intention of actually rescuing these animals, not even going so far as to GOOGLE BASIC CARE. He's essentially trapping animals in need and preventing others for rescuing or caring for them.
I don't know how he keeps 'finding' animals? I really hope he's not going to people on craigslist or whatever and pretending to adopt these animals to let them die for views...

I agree with you. She was petting its face waaaaay to hard. The way you pet a distressed rabbit is you gently cup your hand and cover both of their eyes and stroke down their ears and back that's what I do and it calms my rabbit Hickory down.

I just came from watching his guinea pig rescue, and tbh I think that channel stages its rescues. The pets always seem clean and socialised, they never try to bite or thrash around, which you would expect if they had just been through trauma and neglect.
people are also talking about a love bird one I do also belive that hes obvi staging them its so sad and when HIS Dog DIED he was way sadder then the bunny I wish I got the bunny its so sad how people treat rabbits and stuff like that :(

I've watched a few of his videos testing the theory and I think your right also he lives in Florida the animals are way too healthy to have been homeless in Florida and the animals almost always die after a few days with him like his "saving" is killing them
He said it was terrible that the pet store threw it out and told people not to go there but then goes to that same one in every other video he got the lovebirds from the same parking lot

Indeed somethings aren't: spending 30 minutes on TH-cam (even) doing searches for "How to Hold a Rabbit" "How to care for a Rabbit" "Is my Rabbit ill" or "Rabbit Care" most definitely are.

Metro Cx i don’t think there’s anything we can do, besides pray and hope that he finally gets it in his head that he needs to do research. Animal control (and probably TH-cam) would probably not make a case against him, as he gives them a “home” and usually food (unhealthy food) and water, that’s all they need to see to deem him as an “Okay” person for animals

thumbnail for rabbit passing is him looking disgusted along with his girlfriend, and putting fake tears on his face, holding a dead bunny so badly with a red arrow pointing to a gravestone, he says '' This really is so so sad that this happened'' (shoves a rabbit into a bag and into a freezer. while with the dog, he doesn't even show pictures of it.
dogs and cats are valued so much more than rabbits, it is really sad.
I think dogs are more valued then any other pets because I seen so much people who don't like hamsters, rabbits, and cats...its so sad :,(
Not trying to sound insensitive, but different people handle death differently. Just because he didn't actually shed tears over the rabbit, doesn't mean he wasn't sad about it.
Also, in the case of his dog's death, obviously if you've had a pet for so many years you're going to be much more attached to it than one you've had for 1 or 2 days.
Don't judge a person's feelings by lack of tears, some people just don't cry much.

Dogs are a mans best friend supposedly.. but I think that bunnies are smarter than dogs.. rabbits are VERY smart. I hope others don’t treat rabbits like crap because it’s not completely fair how rabbits are treated. :(

I’m a vet tech in NC and it seems that these symptoms are pointing to GI Stasis. Thank you for being the voice of reason. The lack of stool was the biggest indicator. He should have gotten it to the vet after he got it from his grandparents. Maybe you should try to talk to him about rabbit care if you are able. Thanks for all the work you do!
Can someone report him? He appears to be frequently "rescuing animals" and not caring for them properly. Firstly: It's possible these "rescues" are strange. Second: he's promoting a way of rescuing that is dangerous and damaging. I hate to say this, but I don't think we've seen the worst of what this boy is doing or what trends he is creating amongst his followers.
I don't know what the laws are towards ethical treatment of animals in your country, but he already broke a few in mine. Burying animals is illegal where I'm from for health and sanitary reasons.
I am right in thinking that wet tail is not ever seen I rabbits right, and even if it was that would have been on him as like pointed out in this video it was clearly not there at the start of the so called rescue

I think the biggest issue with his rescuing the bunny was definitely trying to keep it and see if it got better on its own. But it’s hard with rabbits, they’re different from a lot of animals but you have to actually care to know that, not saying he doesn’t care about the rabbit but he does own a lot of reptiles and seems knowledgeable about them. Some people just don’t know about another species care not becuase they don’t want to but because they don’t know any better.
Hopefully he takes this advice for future reference if he finds another stray rabbit
@@romeliaanddixie the otters are actually just like raising kittens they are time consuming yes but not difficult to care for it literally just bottle feeding them stimulating then to go to the toilet and play with them, he is clearly uneducated if he didn't think to take this clearly sick rabbit to the vets especially when saying multiple times that the rabbit looked sick and to say it had wet tail just shows his lack of education towards small animals, wet tail is a hamster stress related disease most commonly occurring when someone takes them to a new place and don't leave them for at least 48 hr. People don't realise but rabbits are very complex and can deteriorate very fast

honestly, all his ''rescued'' animal videos give me such weird vibes. like he manages to just stumble upon all these animals, and when he recuses them they all seem not very scared or even skittish. which i find odd for animals that have apparently all been abandoned for an unknown amount of time. and they also all literally die in the next video, even if these arent staged you'd think he'd be more concerned / afraid of such a pattern and begin taking extra precaution by taking them to the vet.

The first thing my friends and I did after finding a lethargic kitten was taking her to the vet. We were on a bike trip and rode 15 miles with her secued in one of the bike baskets. Turned out she was sick and had ear mites and cat flu. She got better and has been living with me for nearly two years now.

Jacob also ‘rescued’ love birds in a pet smart parking lot. One of them was dead in a plastic bag and the other was alive. About a week later he made a video about how he died and did the same thing. I personally fell like this has to be staged and that he is an animal abuser and killer but there is no proof of this so I’m not going to say that this is TRUE. It’s just weird that almost the same thing has happened more than once. This has happened a lot on his channel and knowing a lot about animals because of my research into pets, I know that his animals aren’t treated properly. I’m really sad that this comment or this video have to exist.
Edit: I looked at more of his channel and this is the only word I can think to say; NO, NO, NO! STOP. DONT GIVE THIS GUY VIEWS NEVER WATCH HIS VIDEOS! NO!
Unfortunately this is a trend as people are enjoying "rescue animals" videos and stuff because views and money. I just watched three videos on that subject
I mean south Florida had established invasive species for all over the world so this could be an explanation for the strange coincidences.
Theres A LOT of "we found..." videos and for sure he just puts them in the dumpsters and fakes it
I used to watch Jacob Feder alot, but after a while, I kinda got suspicious... It’s just..... so obviously fake you don’t find an albino rabbit in the while, commonly, since, they don’t survive in the wild, since they get eaten by predators straight away, and just can’t physically survive. WHY did he buy a rabbit at a store, stress it out and then care for it so horribly that it dies. But this is just my theory, please don’t spread hate please.
He does that so that the bunny doesn't end up rotting and smelling and surely he couldn't bury it at night because it's late and he can't even see

I seriously hate this kid’s actions!!! I’ve seen him before. He “found” (bought) a few animals and places them to act out “finding them” like he’s rescuing them, when he went and actually bought them, then he doesn’t even take proper care of them!!!!
Not saying this rabbit was bought! I’m unsure of this rabbit. But he’s bought other animals (and records “finding” them acting like he rescued them). Also not saying that EVERYTHING he did to take care of them is wrong, but just because he remembers hay doesn’t mean he’s taking proper care of them.
It white with red eyes. Almost all wild rabbits (especially in a setting like a backyard like where this rabbit was found) are brown and have black eyes.
Ricky’s Rabbits this bun was not wild. He claims that he was found outside at his grandmas house and he rescued him, he later says that he was clearly someone pet rabbit at sometime, so at least he knows that much🤦🏻♀️ . I’m unsure what your comment is for? but I hope I cleared that up a bit?

Exactly, My albino rabbit was a rescue from a dumping in an alley way and his feet were dirtied because albinos will have a high chance in being soiled. It makes me very suspicious if it even was a dumping at all. It might have been him buying the pet and making a skit with it

His personality reminds me of the youtuber Logan Paul, who filmed a person who commited suicide in a Japanese forest just for the reactions and views, and he's totally insensitive of other cultures.

that just annoying, he did it just as the bunny was just fr views, he just "found" a guinea pig, he gave it a RUSTY old cage, and nothing in it, just some little food, no Timothy hay, and pine for the flooring. and no mini houses for him/her to be in. Its disgusting how he treats these animals. I don't even believe that he "finds" these animals in dumpsters anymore. He just wants views and money, nothing else. he literally did so much wrong taking care of the rabbit. i don’t even have a rabbit and i know this. he gave it the wrong food, held it very terribly, his mom grabbed its face while petting it, kept it in such a small place with no exercise room. no wonder it was not acting energetic and acting weird. he should have taken the bunny to the vet if he thought it was sick.

NerdGeek Cosplay when my guinea pig died, i picked her up soooo gently, like she was made of thin ice. Idk why but I wasn’t emotional until a few days later, I think I was in shock. She was 8 almost 9 years old.
My guinea died in my arms and I didn’t want to let go I just cried as he was in my arms I now know where I went wrong when he died I was really gentle with him when he was dying I am still sad about it even tho it’s been a couple months.
Or just left it’s carcass sitting out and waited a full day to bury it. My dad wrapped our dog in a blanket and dig out a hole for him the same 20 minutes he passed away. I know it’s different with a dog owned for years vs a stray rabbit you’ve had for less than 3 days, but still. It’s just respectful
I don’t think waving a deceased animal around in the camera is acceptable. I’ve never heard of this TH-camr, but I’m assuming his audience is on the younger side. It’s not cool.

I grew up on a farm and had to see a lot of animal deaths from a young age, due to illness or even just the hunters in the area dumping deer. So when an animal passes, I'm not shy at all of the body and can accept it as natural. I do grieve for the loss of life, loss of a friend, and the thought of "could I have done more to help?". That being said, while some people are totally natural and not sensitive at all when handling a deceased animal, I would NEVER in a million years record it for sharing amongst a vast audience that includes all types of viewers. I wouldn't even show someone in real life a dead animal if I didn't explicitly know they were okay with it. Not everyone has the same experiences and everyone handles grief and shock in different ways, or are more sensitive. He was certainly being disrespectful by waving its body in front of the camera. A deceased animal's body, I believe, should be handled with care and respect to the life that was once inside it. After all, you wouldn't want your own corpse put on display and wiggled around? (Ok, maybe somebody who lived on the wild side would, but most wouldn't lol). I've had to store animals in bags in freezers as well if they pass during winter and the ground is too hard to dig in. But what really got me was the "posing" with the shovel and recording himself talking while digging. Seemed totally staged and looking for a "oh look how noble he is" reaction. We know you're going to bury the creature, you can do it off camera (also that's not even easy work, most people wouldn't be talking while doing it anyway!). SO yeah end of my two cents. Rest in peace little hopper and hopefully this does send a message of what can happen to your pet to those who dump animals (even if in this certain case it wasn't dumped).

He never will all his 'rescues' are so consistant and happen so often and most end up dead when he gets them and he ignores people when giving advice on what he does wrong. Another teenager that wanted to get on youtube with animals but needed something for more attention instead of being interested in animal care.

he just seems very uneducated in general and like he doesn’t even care about the bunny, almost like he purposely didn’t take the bunny to the vet so that he could “nurse” the bunny back to full health and seem like the hero just for views. The fact that Lorelei was crying even though she didn’t even know the bunny shows a lot about her character and that she cares very deeply for all bunnies and only wants to make their lives better.

Mhm yep he did play a part in the bunny's death. I understand he had good intentions to rescue the bunny, but he clearly did not have a strong knowledge of rabbits. For instance, you can see that when he introduced the bunny at the beginning of his video, the animal looked very tranquil and inactive, a clear telling that it is ill. He ignored the signs, and about two days later, the rabbit died. If he had the chance, it would've been nicer if he took the bunny to the vet....

I really appreciate that you added how much time they have without food. My brother used to go days without feeding our rabbits. My mum started to tell me to do it but now they are like new rabbits they’re are so much more friendly and energetic.

Ugh. Can't believe some people are this cruel and disrespectful towards animals.
I also rescued my bunny. Someone else had it and just let her go. Mine wasn't sick but I tried to take her to a vet as soon as possible to check on her health. I called a few vet clinics and was surprised how most of them see only cats and dogs. I kept looking for someone who takes care of bunnies and finally found a place that did but wasn't able to get an appt until a week later than the day I found her. If she was apparently sick I would have taken her to an emergency animal clinic.
You can’t pretend to participate to the animals welfare cause when you “rescue” stray animals for clickbait. I’m sure there are tons of charities and other ways to help people safely rescue animals in the US, I don’t think that taking every stray animal you see home is a viable solution. Get the proper training and open your own shelter if you want to but amassing animals in your home is not healthy for any of the parties concerned.

I completely agree my perception of death is the same as yours. When my hamster died (after a very long healthy life - longer than most hamsters live) I found her and I couldn’t touch her i couldn’t stop crying I had to get my dad to come round and help me put her into a little hamster coffin. I kept getting flash backs and it traumatised me. I don’t know how people can hold their dead pets like that like they’re a toy. We set my baby straight to rest in a coffin like a human would be laid to rest and had a few minutes silence for her. Death is massive and upsetting and some people are just so blasé about losing a pet and I can’t understand it at all. All of my family have been brought up on the fact of pets being our family members not pets and I really just cannot get my head round the lack of sensitivity in some people. ❤️
