Seeing that dog in that tiny bird cage deeply disturbed me. I could barely watch this I can’t believe the animals suffered like that. Lorelei made a change! She saw this horrible situation and she took matters into her own hands and made a difference. We ALL need to be like her!

ikr ! my cousin has a bunny but he doesnt take care of it and says to my sis when she holds him " you dont know how to take care of rabbits ! put HIM DOWN! " I'm always like in my mind " you dont know how to take care of bunnies , you yourself hold the bunnies by their ears , feed them the food which they are NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT & keep him in a small cage where atleast a bird coudn't fly and hv no feeding time for him " poor bunnies :(

As a Rabbit care taker who works at a Rabbit Rescue this brings me tears to my eyes.

“i deal with people who stab eachother” NO. you’re a cop. you deal with the law, when you are a protector of the people and the law, there are NO LIMITS to what law you protect. is it that hard to drive down to the shelter and see if the animals were neglected?
I quickly read up on this briefly and the main reasons why cops usually don't get involved in animal cruelty cases is because they are not equipped to deal with animals or animal cruelty whereas the RSPCA is equipped to deal with these kinds of things. as the cops said, they deal with humans not animals and are untrained in the field of animal cruelty.
courtney fasnd but it’s as easy as going down the street and calling the rspca if it were true. Lorelei did not have to work as hard as she did to spread awareness to this as much as she did because the police could’ve and should’ve just at least go down the street and see if she was telling the truth, and if so, call animal services. It really isn’t that hard.
@@shhhyourtooloud257 Animal services would be as closed to police as to anyone else. And the phone lines were slow.
Not only should they be protectors of the people, but animals too. We are all in the same boat in the end, whether we're a single-celled organism or a giant blue whale.

This video made me cry. When you went to the adoption center and that one bunny with black and white came close to you and sniffed, it just expressed these rabbits are anxious to come home.

This put tears in my eyes. I’m so happy that you spoke up and did not stop until action was taken. No animal should be put in a cage that small, no animal should go without water and food. If someone is going to buy a bunny or any animal in general they need to do research before adopting or buying. Every animal matters, no matter if it’s a baby or an adult. I started watching your channel because I plan on adopting two baby bunnies soon and I want to do everything in my power to give them the life they deserve. I ugly cried. Rabbits should not be treated like this. When the man said “he’s having a moment”. No it was trying to binkie. I have a bunny named Rupert. This is his story. He was adopted as a baby. His owners decided to get rid of him on the streets. One day he snuck into a woman’s house and she called a rescue. (Thank god) he was at the rescue for a couple months and then my family adopted him. The woman who owns the rescue is awesome. She knows how to take care of them. I love your channel.❤️ btw Rupert is a lop.

The visible difference in the bunnies' behavior once they're in the shelter with proper food, water, and temp control made all your effort so worth it. You are such a wonderful person and I love the way you handled this situation

@@xrobinx3290 Sadly it's hard for police to get involved with animal cases because they are too busy or animals are technically seen as someone's property. If police do get involved, they usually just hand it to the SPCA anyway.

The police responded that way because they do deal with people that stab each other. They told her to go to the station where they could actually help her. They didn't do anything wrong.

Mine has a jug that’s for dogs it’s huge and carries about a gallon of water it will take a long time for it to run out

This is amazing what Lorelei did for these animals. I cried seeing the conditions the bunnies were in and how thirsty they were when he finally gave them water. I wonder how long it would have taken them to get the bunnies fresh water if it weren't for Lorelei stepping in.

The fact that these living creatures are not getting any water and that it's so hot outside yet there is no AC upsets me. They're probably beyond dehydrated and could be having trouble regulating their body temperatures, and it's dangergous for any living thing (especially humans and animals) to exceed their regular temperatures. The poor animals barely have any food or water to survive plus the fact that they're not getting enough space for exercise.

I’ve been checking out your yt account and I love this account and it helps me improve my space that my bunnie is living in and this made me cry because so many animals are suffering.
I adopted a bunny from a shelter about a month ago she has literally saved my life after 3 years of depression I finally have a friend! She is my world and my joy! I love her so much and I know I wasn't able to adopt more than 1 but it already took 4 1/2 years to convince my parents to let me rescue a bunny! So I did what I could to help plus I wanted a bunny so bad so it was a win since! 😊

As a bird lover, I hated to see how mistreated the birds were along with the rabbits. (I love birds but rabbits are obviously #1) I can't believe stuff like this still exists. Some people shouldn't be allowed to own animals in general.

I'm boohoo crying over this, my heart hurts so much.. I have a bun, cat & dog myself, all given to me & they're my world, so much that I'm in college right now to be a veterinarian assistant to help every animal I can & I can't fathom how furious & heartbroken Lorelei was, especially at that moment. This is why so many are so stressing on adopt, don't shop. I would've done the exact same if I were in her shoes. Lorelei, you're such a freakin' saint. I was so in shock I started tearing up. I can't believe these people have the audacity to not only sell these incredibly adorable and sweet animals in such horrible conditions, but also give such brief, misleading information to buyers. It upsets me that people are capable of doing that. It's sick and disgusting. I'm so ashamed, but so glad that there are amazing people like you that share these incidents and help informs others and actually make a change. I adopted 2 bunnies last year, one of them passed away sadly, but my other one, who used to be very aggressive and scared of people, is now just the sweetest and most curious bunny ever. She loves to binky around, lick my face and hands and even flops next to me. It breaks my heart to see rabbits in such awful conditions.

This really hurt my heart. I’m so sad that animals are being treated like that. A few months ago, I found a 4 week old kitten in a bin that had been dumped and had adopted him. He’s adorable and so loving.

My roommate found a kitten in her work parking lot once, we still have him and I love this little guy so so much. Rescuing an animal feels so much better than just buying one. Both my cats are rescues.

Your awesome for taking the time to help. I used to save kittens from the Downey shelter when I lived down there. LA has some of the worst conditions for animals in the country.

One of my pet bunnies, Bailey, passed away about a month ago. He sadly had to be put to sleep because of a large tumour that was pressing on his windpipe and lungs. My other bunny Fudge was very upset over his "disappearance" the first couple of days. He's luckily pretty much back to normal now though.
Because I don't want Fudge to grow up all alone (both he and Bailey are/were only about 4 years old), I decided to get in contact with a local rabbit shelter. Apparently they're currently packed with rabbits, due to summer holidays just having started, leading to lots of people dumping their rabbit in the woods. I really want to be able to give such a bunny a second chance at life (that and I kinda want to give Fudge a new buddy who's roughly the same age as him).
This monday I'll be visiting the rabbit rescue centre to have Fudge start dating with some of the bunnies there, in order to find him a new partner.

GJ my rabbit recently passed away too. unfortunately we are not in a situation to take on another rabbit but much like lennon we keep her a free roamer and we try to socialize with her for example keeping her on the bed and petting her when we watch TV every night

I have a bunny too I give him pellets but not too many I give him lots of hay and water I occasionally get it fruits sometimes and it practically lives outside in my yard but I sometimes bring it inside to play with it and my rabbit is fine please tell me if I should change anything

The only problem with this is you'll be making it worse because they're domestic bunnies, they don't have the same instincts as your average wild cottontail. That's like putting all cats into the wild. They don't know how to hunt properly. They're called domestic breeds for a reason and they evolved to be taken care of by someone and not to live on their own 😢

I was scared this video was about someone buying baby bunnies from some shady business but im so glad you took all that effort to shut them down! that's how you fight this problem! it's a shame it takes so long which makes it feel police don't take it serious but im so glad you persisted and they did something! great content and great video and I hope those bunnies get adopted!
