For real! I commented on one of Lorelei’s videos about help for rabbit care, then a few months later my rabbit went free roam and people were commenting saying my bunny has a terrible life even though she’s free roam and before she was free roam she lived in a 4 by 3 foot enclosure and got hours of playtime everyday. People are so cruel and judgmental for no reason, hating on someone for their rabbit care doesn’t help them improve. Also Lorelei I literally love you, you’re the reason I got a rabbit in the first place, I stayed up for hours past midnight multiple times a week about a month before my birthday writing down important info and thanks to you, I have an amazing and sweet rabbit and she lives a better life now then when I first got her.

Regarding the car wash thing, although rabbits tend to be naturally more skittish than a cat or dog, that does NOT mean they are automatically afraid of everything. Every rabbit is different, so some rabbits may not be as freaked out by a car wash if at all. I live in a tropical area where there are some pretty extreme storms with loud noises that could definitely mimic a car wash and even be worse at times. My rabbit, who is pretty chill, is not fazed ever. Honestly, I think I'm more scared than he is sometimes.

Our bunny is not afraid of anything. He goes on car rides every 3 weeks to get his teeth trimmed. They are misaligned so he can’t keep them trimmed on his own. He jumps right into his travel carrier and is ready to go. He has free roam of the house, but goes in his xpen at night. He has to supervise the cleaning of the pen even when the vacuum is being used. He thinks our cats are his personal play toys even if they don’t agree and chases them everywhere. He is just the silliest little guy but someone forgot to tell him he should be afraid of everything, lol

(I mean she is the size of a dachshound and has enormous power in her jaw) She pulls on their pants and bounces on them. She chases the hover. And when we on the way to the vet (check ups and vaccinations) I have a buggy, both (her an Logan) are completely relaxed and unfazed even in the tram. They are rather curious, more than scared. They behave more like puppies as scaredy rabbits. They even come running when I call them.

Same could be said that Lorelei doesn't like anything different that other people do that isn't her way.
Lorelai, who made you the bunny expert? Are you a veterinarian or have a Ph.D in rabbit nutrition and health...no, you don't, so bugger off a bit. You seem like an overbearing, controlling, complete know-it-all, and it's your way or the highway which isn't the answer or end-all, be-all that every rabbit owner must follow or they are horrible, clueless owners because they dare to do things their own way. Everyone is different. Every bunny is different. Living circumstances are different.
My family and I've had rescue and adopted rabbits for 25+ years. Our longest living bunny lived for 13 years until we had to put her down for her own safety and health due to blindness and she'd run full speed into furniture and I didn't want her hurt...she lived in a wire cage her whole life. Our 10 other rabbits lived in wire bottom cages until 2004-2005. Wire cages were all there was back in the early to late 90s and mid 2000s. She was let out in the house and when we were outside in our yard watching her. She was loved as they all were. Even now, our potty trained bunnies for the past decade stay in a cage until we let them roam, and they definitely stay there to sleep. Our current adopted bunny, Truffles, who is now 9 this year, prefers to stay in her cage even with the door open and her ability to free roam. She must not mind the plastic bottom, and neither did the last two bunnies, who all flop and sleep in there. There is nothing wrong with a water bottle instead of dishes or different litter box set ups with no hay in them, just appropriate shavings, or being covered and open is fine. You don't need a bunny bed or a hidey house. And all of our rabbits were/are kept in their cage overnight. And unlimited orchard hay is fine put on the ground and gets sprinkled with expensive herbal tonics of the season and for any specific issue like molting/shedding, etc. Expensive handmade toys (bought from small businesses on Etsy form top rabbit stores/shops) are rotated in the cage, has expensive beds or cushions for her to stretch out and nap or relax. Her second relaxing spot in the kitchen where she hops out of her cage to nap in one comfy section I made up for her, and a vast array of toys enough for 3-4 rabbits and beds in our family room where she has too many options.
Also nothing wrong with hutches. We have a beautiful wooden "summer home" hutch on our deck so the bunny can be outside in the summer and fall and enjoy the fresh air...and we monitor the rabbits and never put them out in weather hotter than 75°. All the same set up as the indoor cage.
Again. I'm almost 34 years old. My family and I have had many many bunnies for 25+ years...all of them are rescues or adopted from rescue centers or state run humane societies. 13 years is pretty unprecedented as far as rabbits living that long. Articles and our exotic rabbit vets confirmed that. One of our rabbits lasted 13 years in a wire cage. (Another 11 years in the plastic bottom home base cage.) We finally had to put her down for her own health and safety or she'd lived until 14-15!!! Wire was the only option for decades.
My family and I are much more or an authority on rabbits than this girl. She hasn't had rabbits for over 20 years. Her way isn't the only right way and if you don't do exactly her way you are a horrible owner, Eff off, now we have plastic bottom cages for the past 15 years. Our rabbits live routinely into age 10-13. Only health issues are occasional GI stasis for one rabbit out of 25+ years of rabbits ,which I researched and diagnosed....to the regular vet after many of our rare exotic rabbit vets leave to bigger places like Chicago...we are an hour North.
Cages at night are fine. So are water bottles and hay separated from the litter box. Hutches are fine too as I said we have a beautiful wooden one on our deck as their summer vacation home to enjoy the nice weather. They roam when we allow. They do binkies like crazy and zoomies. They loaf, flop, and superman in our company while free roamimg and in the cage. We also have a beautiful backyard with a forest preserve. Our most recent, current bunny is stupid. She is potty trained. But no one was smarter and more affectionate than Ms. Mustache. Fully potty trained. Leave her out all day and however far a room was from her littrbox in her cage, she'd hop all the way back to go potty and then go back again. No accidents. I was her favorite. She'd groom and kiss and lick my lips, eyelids, face...other family members hands and loved licking our pants, esp jeans as well as pillows, She had complete free roam of entire house, even rooms with expensive oriental rugs as well as outside on a harness in addition to the outdoor hutch. She was so relaxed and would flop thstvshe looked dead. Many binkies and zoomies until she slowed down at 7-8. Died at 10.
I buy the most expensive, custom made toys and treats from the top 5 Etsy rabbit shops like The Well Kept Rabbit whose entire store is endorsed by Lucy Moore who wrote a book on rabbit health and has a Ph.D. They have seasonal, 6 types of health ranges, gourmet all natural expensive treats from the top shops...I spend $250 a month on those forages, natural gourmet treats, and toys, as well as a custom forage mat and a 5-way the convertible cushion that were made in London, a special flop cushion...which she is so dumb it took her 2 years to figure out, etc. Instead she prefers $7 cat/dog padded mats to the $30+ special padded cushioned floor beds. This rabbit has around $500 of stuff for her to use and enjoy. I when these things were around a 5-10 years ago for my favorite rabbit to enjoy and others as well.

Lorelei is an incredible bunny mom and influencer. The only valid criticism is that she isn’t a “rabbit expert” from raising one rabbit. It would be impossible to know everything about rabbits in general from only owning one domesticated pet female bunny. So as far as dietary, health/medical, habitat advice should all be taken with discretion bc there are lots of different breeds that require different aspects of care and each bunny parent needs to do their own research and be acutely aware of their individual bunnies wants and needs.

    • @smokymountainangoras
      @smokymountainangoras 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

Some specific things that are just my opinion,
      A. I wouldn’t buy spring mix because of the risk of E. Coli in your refrigerator when most ppl have access to get wild, organic freshly picked greens on a daily basis outside (wheatgrass, ryegrass, dandelion, clover, Queen Anne’s lace aka wild carrot, etc)
      B) I don’t buy pre processed treats or make smoothies/muffins etc when their are lots of whole grains/seeds (sunflower seeds, oats, wheatberries) and fresh fruits and veggies that make better treats
      C) yes I think bunnies are generally happier overall with a companion (yes their human owner can be their companion if the are sufficiently present and adequate bonding has occurred )
      D) I love her advocacy for free-roaming. But I think apartments and houses have just as many dangers/hazards (if not more !!) that a rabbit could encounter compared to a well fenced in rabbit yard (please bunny proof your indoor rabbit areas!). I think being outside to run and scratch is probably the best thing you can do to enrich a rabbit’s life, imagine if a human never got to walk outside, sit in the sun or take their shoes off and touch grass.

Rabbits can’t self regulate their body temperature. In the wild they build warrens for a variety of reasons including the fact it helps they cool in summer, warm in winter and it’s defence against predators.
I do take my bunnies outside to hop and get vitamin D but I’m present the entire time. Domesticated rabbits don’t have the survival instincts or defence mechanisms of their wild counterparts.
Having your rabbits home base indoors is much safer than any outdoor enclosure for a variety of reasons including (but not limited to)
      •the risk of heat stroke
      •freezing to death
•transmissions of diseases from bugs like mozzies
      •predators
•and wanting my bunnies to spend enough time passively interact with humans so they feel confident in the presence of humans.
Lorelei has spoken about bunny proofing your home and videos with tips on it.
Wild greens are great if you have the time to collect wild greens. And you know that they’re not sprayed with pesticides for weed management or grown in the dirt with chemicals & toxic waste ie former factory sites. If you don’t store brought greens are fine.
I get what you mean about not feeding bunnies smoothies etc… and that wild greens (if they’re safe) are great for bunnies. But it’s factually incorrect to stay that domesticated rabbits are safer or just as safe in an outdoors enclosure then they are living indoors.

    • @smokymountainangoras
      @smokymountainangoras 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

@@MrVevlet Thanks for all that factual information!! If I wrote out on a list all the potential dangers and hazards that a bunny could experience INDOORS, the LIST WOULD BE TOO LONG !!! Sorry I don’t have time !!! I obviously don’t disapprove of indoor bunnies if adequately bunny-proofed, but I also think rabbits should have an outdoor setup for play/free-roaming if rabbit owners have the means to do so. Therefore I think a combination of indoor/outdoor is best and primarily* I don’t agree with people who take a definitely stance on where a rabbit should be raised in an attempt to educate other bunny owners. (But whatever their rabitat, please do the best of your ability to keep your bunnies safe, healthy and happy!!!)

    • @MrVevlet
      @MrVevlet 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

@@smokymountainangoras it’s not that deep you just bunny proof your home if they’re free roaming or use (a large) x pen enclosure if they’re not free roaming.
They’re safer indoors because they’re not exposed to extreme temperatures, predators or diseases spread by insects. Domesticated rabbits do not have the same survival instincts or defence mechanisms as wild rabbits.
I have two senior rabbits. They live indoors. They’re literally the oldest rabbits my vet practice have met and the vets are always impressed by how healthy they are. They’re also amazed at how friendly and confident they are. My bunnies are so bonded to me that they’ve leapt on me when they stressed out.
They feel that way because we share the same living space and I spend lots of time with them.
Every vet who specialises in the rabbit that I’ve meet irl agrees that it’s safe for them to live indoors and it’s better then them living in an outdoor enclosure.
If you want to have rabbits that live outdoors or you want to advocate for rabbits that live outdoors… that’s fine. Just actually be honest about the dangers that they face and what solutions there are to minimise that risk. Lorelei has made countless videos about bunny proofing and environmental enrichment for free roaming rabbits. I don’t see people who advocate for having rabbits outside putting out the same level of information about keeping bunnies safe and providing environmental enrichment.

The part of the holding rabbit of the first girl actually make me laugh tho, at this moment I directly know how much she don't know anything about her blablating (well, even before, but this part, just oh my), and the second one, well when she said she have lot of bunnies I didn't even trust her by how ignorant she is, third is obvious at the beginning, as she say she made research (well, very little research obviously).

With those first two girls, your rebuttal carried more validity and practically exposed them as jokes. What kind of person posts a video “reviewing” or “criticizing” without actually watching the videos? They simply made themselves look like fools. If they had done their homework, they would know you ALWAYS say in videos what you do, you do in regards to Lennon’s positive reaction to it, and that other bunnies could have different reactions. You never ever declare what you do with Lennon, everyone should do the same. The only information that you strongly encourage for everyone is creating a safe bunny space and building better relationships ships between bunny and owner. The foolishness of people, never ends 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I consider 101Rabbits to be the "gold standard", while I appreciate what Loreli and Lennon represent, some of her information I disagree with. Especially when it comes to rabbit breeders. Going to a responsible breeder is often a good way to get rabbits with a good temperament and health history (based on health lines of the parents, etc). I PERSONALLY think that Loreli's issue with breeders is "POTENTIALLY" based on "the so-called back yard breeders" and the people who raise rabbits for meat (which I will remind everyone was the original reason behind them being "domesticated" (just like cows, pigs, turkey, etc.) in the first place). While I personally no long will purchase a rabbit from an individual or organization who only breeds them (rabbits) for meat, I will still go to a breeder, especially if I can not find the rabbit I am looking for in a shelter as I like the Large breed rabbits.

The first tiktok about hte way you were holding your Bunny.. that IS kind of a common way to hold bunnies when doing grooming is just sometimes the easiest way to clean their feets, check their ears, brush them etc while having them in a comfortable position. We had a childhood rabbit many years ago (a male dwarf lop-- also named Lenny! kind of what drew me to your channel when i saw the name!) and we used to hold him like that often. He almost seemed to PREFER being held like that sometimes. As far as how you hold a bunny... I think it really depends on the rabbit themselves and their own personality and preferences. As long as you are being gentle and loving with them, if its a social rabbit, they tend to just enjoy the interaction and grooming session. (We were kids but we would often do 'checkups' like pretend animal doctor while grooming on our Lenny - he was very good about it and we were very gentle with him but even the pretend checkups gave us a chance to brush him, clip his nails, check his ears and clean if needed, etc. I remember my older brother would hold him like that while we helped groom him and love on him and he ATE IT UP.
And for instance they also say cats HATE having their belly scratched but my cat literally rolls over like a dog for belly rubs... all animals have their own likes and dislikes. As long as you are gentle you arent doing anything wrong and im sure you would have stopped or changed position if he seemed stressed. I had 2 french angora rabbits when i was in my 20s (Scuzzy and Spaz) and they HATED being held like that... so i didn't and would just find other ways to groom them.. usually put them up on a table and just kind of hold them in place with my hands around their sides while i brushed and check them over) Like... you notice if your rabbit doesnt like something and adjust. If they are ok with it, I see no issue.

Also one more comment about the bunny pair thing-- You are SO right about being afraid to bond Lennon with someone. My bunnies loved each other on their bunny date at the shelter (neutral territory), and then hated each other for an entire year and a half at home before they finally bonded. Bunny bonding is not as easy as some people believe. I also believe it made my original bunny's life worse for the duration that they weren't bonded because I wasn't able to fully free roam her anymore due to having to separate the two of them. It's not as black and white as ppl think.

The poor new friend couldn't even move an inch without her attacking him. He couldn't go near the litterbox, water bowl, anywhere and ended up cowering in a corner. Over the last 25 years I have been the pet parent to 10 different fully free range house rabbits (1-3 buns at a time). I also volunteered at my local shelter. Every bun is different. One bun used to jump in my lap and lay on his side when I watched movies. That segued into him eventually moving to a belly up position in my lap as he slept.. He did this on his own. One of my current buns LOVES to be gently massaged from head to tail (yes the tail too). He frequently runs in front of us and lays down flat when he wants to be massaged. His choice. He can leave anytime he wants. I had another bun who preferred to have his front paws resting on my shoulder if I had to pick him up . I was initially afraid he might try leap from my shoulder especially if he got scared but after a couple of years of repositioning him to my chest, I finally realized he wasn't trying to escape. He enjoyed looking over my shoulder. The photo of you at the rescue holding the buns is perfectly fine. If they kick to get away they aren't going anywhere. Yes I prefer to hold my buns where they are facing me, but you wouldn't see cute bunny faces in the photo. With a rare exceptions, most rabbits would look scared with any strangers picking them up, even rescue volunteers. It usually take time to establish a relationship for them to feel comfortable being picked up by a particular person. And litter box needs may be a little different. My friend rescued a dwarf bunny with a previously broken rear leg which healed incorrectly. He cannot jump into a litter box.. She had to cut down the front of a litter box so he can get in and out easily and ended up having to use puppy paper. It keeps his rear leg from getting urine scald. She puts yummy hay in half the box so he stands on the puppy paper. This works best in her case. One of my buns liked to empty the litter box of ALL of it's contents almost every day. It was very frustrating to wake up to dirty and clean hay spread in a 10 foot radius on the living room floor. I spent a fortune on different litter boxes and hay/litter. Our vet recommended I try a cement mixing box (imagine a cat litter box on steroids). Because hay is easier to get over the edge than litter (NEVER USE CLAY or BEAD litter- only natural litter) , I ended up with a natural corn litter as the base. CORN IS NOT USUALLY RECOMMENDED because they will eat too much of it and can get GI stasis, but in my case my bun only nibbles a tiny bit when I add fresh litter. I add assorted yummy hays with herbs and flowers over 1/2 of the box which he loves much more than the underlying litter. He is still is able to remove SOME the hay from the box before tiring out, but it is happening less and not spread out. I had to find a solution specific to my problem. Food & water are basically the same with buns but everything else is a journey. With the exception of nail trimming and medical treatment, my rabbits are never forced to endure anything. Look at it this way, (congenial or in bred issues aside), depending on care and diet, most pet rabbit's average life span is 8-12 years. With the exception of one bun with a hidden abdominal tumor, my buns lived between 8 -13 years. I must be doing something right for them. I currently have a 7 and 8 year old. Don't listen to the criticism. Look at your bunny! That is the gauge. You are doing an amazingly job on your channel and for Lennon. What works for one bun may not work for another. You teach humans how to earn the trust and love of their bun with basic typical bunny care and behavior. Every now and then we come across the odd bun that insists we give them a belly rub, once we earn their trust and friendship. That's what makes these little creatures so damn wonderful! They all have their own personality. Everything you have said over the years is great information for bunny parents to begin their own bunny journey.

You need to have two bunnies tho and it comes from someone who for a very long time had only one bunny. Bunnies are very social and you can’t fulfill all their needs if they don’t have a bunny friend. If you just put two random bunnies in one room that’s not a good idea you need to introduce them slowly and they both need to be sterilized (otherwise they’ll be aggressive) It’s not easy but trust me once they have a bunny friend they’re a lot more active and happy.

@@alicja5602 I understand what you’re saying but I still disagree. Also, with my previous bunny, she was slowly introduced in 3 separate homes before I had her. • @Hildervinge

Both cats and dogs are social too, but can be kept in single pet household. My first bunny where alone for 6 months, but I had to rehome him due to my own health. Regret that so much!!! But he thrived the time I had him. I was with him all the time and brought him everywhere and he loved it. Such an adventurer. I have two now, and got the first thinking he could be a single pet as well. He was 1 years old and used to have a partner (who was rehomed before him to someone else). This guy was so clearly unhappy and a real homebody. Would not connect with us humans properly and showed clear frustration in beeing handled and did not enjoy traveling. So I bought a babybunny for him and the love was emidiate. He would not stop flopping for like a week, groomed her, showed her around etc. So cute. She is far more independant and could probably have been a single bunny. She enjoys adventures but not as much as my first and bonded more easily with us humans. All 3 have been wery much different in needs and personality, and I have enjoyed them all. Will probably have bunnies in the future when these ones are gone. But animals are first and foremost individuals and need to be treated like it. I have had 3 hamsters, 5 horses, 2 cats, 2 dogs, gunniepigs etc. All off them have had individual needs within their species. The owners responsibility is to be an expert on their own animals needs, and understand that it will not necessarily apply to everybody else.

You are right people are going to hate. And it's obvious those people have nothing better to do than hate.
I have learned a great deal from you and I thank you for being such a bunny advocate.
My bun bun, Midnight, is also a single bunny. I got her from my son, who saved her from being tossed outside and let loose, because she made too much noise and nipped her cage mate.
I have no idea how old she is, not if she is even spayed. And neither did the owner who was going to throw her outside. She didn't even know Midnight was a girl, thought she was a boy.
I've had her now for almost 6 years and I am positive she would not bond with another bunny. I feel this because I'm pretty sure she isn't spayed. But without knowing for sure, I don't want her to go through it only to find out she was, but then she dies from the anesthesia.
Not every bunny will bond with another. Just like every cat or dog won't bond with another cat or dog.
I love you and Lennon!! Keep up the great work you do!!

I so wish I could speak to you over the phone to explain my concern with a rabbit breeder in Riverside, California, and I want to get info on where I can report her. She breeding rabbits and has over 200, all in tiny cages in the garage of her house. She even has a website and sells them at any age. I have never seen so many rabbits, from newborns to older ones. The cages are super small, made of wire, and have no bedding. I can not go to sleep thinking about these poor rabbits. I feel so bad about the condition they are in. Someone needs to stop this lady from breeding so many bunnies. I need help. Do I call PETA or the city of Riverside? I do not know were to start. Any advice will be helpful.

I mean, TikTok is cancer so everything from there needs to be treated as such, particularly shown in the later clips which were just unnecessary trolls.
I do think the first 3 longer clips were reasonable in their challenge, even if they can be rebutted / addressed and as a bunny community it is fair to work to help each other to steadily improve your own buns life and have greater resource out there for new bun owners to give their buns the best life they can.
It also seems fair that pretty much all buns can be bonded with at least one other, accepting it isn't always easy or quick, but is so important to a rabbits overall mental health. And if they can playdate without chaos, they can definitely bond :) That said, I think Lennon is 9 now (?) and I appreciate single buns do seem to bond closer to their primary carer and therefore make better online content - but when the sad day comes that Lennon hops over the rainbow bridge, if you carry on this channel with a new bun I hope it is at least a pair - I mean heck, even if starts with just 1, it would certainly be great content to see a 2nd then being brought in and the bonding journey they go through to be a future reference for other bun parents :)

Hooboy, so much to unload. First off, the haters all sound bitter. I think the UK might have different standards (for lack of a better word). I’ve gotten into a few arguments from people in the UK in regard to bonding and free roaming. My Lulu is a boy, but constantly gets called a girl and I have to use Drew Bunnymore’s full name or people think Drew’s a boy, so I totally get the gender thing. For all that stalking, though, she really did miss the mark there! Lennon is bonded to you. She is not alone. She has you. My Ozzy was a solo bunny too. He was bonded to me and didn’t like other animals at all, including bunnies. There is no one who advocates and helps bunnies like you. Your fans love you and so many bunnies owe their happy lives to you.

People forget that not all bunnies are the same. Just because your bunny will get scared and run from a certain noise doesn't mean all rabbits do that. And some bunnies actually like being a single rabbit. My rabbit has been a single rabbit for 4yrs. I've recently gotten another rabbit and he HATES when I smell like my younger rabbit. He will attack anyone who smells like my younger one because it's his territory. The bonding process is not easy and very lengthy!! Also gotta put into account of the rabbits history. My older rabbit didn't come from a good background. He was dirty when I got him and the person was holding the bunnies by the scruff. So this made his personality more headstrong and dominant. My younger one came from a rabbitry and was used to being around other rabbits. He's more shy and gentle. So again: NOT ALL RABBITS ARE THE SAME!!!

  • @Yamizan
    @Yamizan 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I was about to write the same thing about Lennon probably just being territorial in her own space but then you mentioned it yourself.
Most of these accusations seem like they have been made without any thought, like the person didn't think it through, just saw a quick glimpse and went "UNACCEPTABLE!"
The only one I can kind of understand is that, personally, if I had a bunny I'd also be scared of letting them off the leash since they easily run when something scares them but other than that I think you are doing a great job taking care of Lennon and you know her the best. Also, your dedication for helping other people and their rabbits is admirable, even going so far to travel far away to change lifes is crazy, in a good way.
Regarding the comment "There's better rabbit TH-camrs", there's a lot of TH-camrs out there and there's most likely someone "better" than you (whatever that means), but I've yet to see a channel that's able to teach me as much as this channel while still being as entertaining. Most animal content creators bore me to death because they always talk about the same things over and over and only do educational content, nothing entertaining whereas I think this channel combines all of these perfectly.

Honestly, it's this kind of thing that scares people away from the pet community. Instead of criticizing each other we should be encouraging and sharing tips and educating, and also understand that EVERY ANIMAL AND EVERY RELATIONSHIP IS DIFFERENT!! Just because someone uses different care methods than you doesn't make it bad. We should help each other improve by setting higher standards and being good examples, not by putting others down because they do things differently or are less experienced.

I think the takeaway here is that nobody's perfect, but one thing I've seen you do that I just love, is talk about the mistakes you made along the way, and what you did to fix them! You own your accountability, and that is something I'm not seeing these kids do.
I have been watching you for a couple of years now, and am so glad I found you - you have really helped me be a better bunny mom.
As for singleton rabbits, it's fine - as long as you're willing to put in the time with them being their replacement partner. And you obviously do that - Lennon trusts you so much! My bunny's a single, and he's just bonded with my right foot instead of another bunny. He even treats my foot like it's a bunny. I would get him a partner, but he is aggressively territorial, so I think it would always be an iffy situation for him.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about these kids - they're pretty much just clout chasing by taking up a controversial opinion.

This woman is just another TH-camr/influencer trying to make money using a bunny, presenting herself as expert and selling products. She is nothing more than a self claimed 'advocate/expert' on rabbits, while making tons of mistakes herself. People do your own research and try to come in contact with people who have a lot of experience with rabbits. Always inform yourself via more than one source, and make your own desicion.

I got alot of jealousy vibes from those.
I think its one thing to respectfully disagree with someone on something but the vids like that first girl especially and the tik tok meme ones that werent even funny are just trolly or personal pet peeves. I kinda agree with her. Sounds like your making up excuses to why you hold your bunny like that. The way you hold your bunny on its back and not giving back support, not ideal and could easally lead to injury. Even if it is for trying taking a group photo, no excuse for holding your buny like that.
Instead, hear her out. No need to be offended or protective, this is just an opportunity to make better, become better.
Cause in the end. EVERYONE here loves bunnies, we want the absolute best for them. They are SUPER fragile little creatures and we only recently has started pulling away from the "bunnies belong in small cages" era.
I think you should take the credits she says, there are still so much bunny missunderstanding out there. We as a loving bunny community should ALWAYS, ALWAYS try to figure out the safest way to handle them togheter. We will make mistakes, but we can learn and grow from them. Not making excuses like a baby... I usually love your content but, its sad you saw this and felt like defending instead of listening.

The first girl has very rigid ideas about bunnies/bunny care. All rabbit are SO DIFFERENT. Some like to be held upright, some hate it (personally it's the only way I can cut my boy's nails). Some freak out with a harness, some love going on walks with them and aren't scared at all. I've had 5 bunnies and they were all so different. One was literally a dog in a rabbits body, where as one of the bunnies I currently have is very timid, doesn't like to be held. He's just a simple boy content with chewing hay.
I think making all these statements of what is bad/good for a bunny you don't know is dumb and damaging. Especially if you are saying ridiculous things like 'sand is not great'. Wild bunnies literally live in dirt/sand. Dunes/the edge of beaches are often crowded with bunnies, they live there and make burrows. It's literally their natural habitat, wtf.
Also have you ever met a chihuahua? Half of the bunnies I owned were bigger than a chihuahua. Not all harnesses are save for bunnies, but there are defenitely harnesses that are safe for some.

I’m gonna ride off of what someone else says. It’s not just TikTok. I feel like social media for the most part. Just hates everyone for any reason that is disagreeable with the single person that is absorbing the media. And if they find someone with a similar opinion forget it, you got mob mentality going on.
Personally, I think it’s amazing the bond that you have with Lennon and how you raise Lennon because at the end of the day, this rabbit is living full expectancy and is loved, clearly. May Lennon be blessed with more years to come.
Before I decided to get my rabbit, Eloise, I did deep diving on research via google… and your channel opened my eyes to so much that was missing on the Internet. She’s going to be two years old. And she is thriving as a single bunny. And as you mention, the single bunny thing goes case by case. I personally work home all week. So Eloise is out all the time with me or back in her room where the door is open for her to free roam.
