I'm missing my left hand and thus would make flying way easier for me!
I need this in my life haha!
    Nice work!

I have my left hand but I can't feel it, I should remove it, point is, I feel ya brother (just not with my left hand... Bad joke) I'm so sorry man. I've managed to be able to play some psvr games with only my right hand. If you're still down for gaming that's an option for you. I can do some rpgs with 1 hand but it's not really up my alley, life always gets in the way, I gotta take a break from the rpg, I forget wtf I'm doing and now I'm lost forever.
      Best of luck to you.
Im sure you've answered this a million times but, what happened to your left hand? Mine, I lost all use of if after a "biologic" medication, fucked my nerves up, didn't even work to treat my colitis so I ended up losing my large intestine as well, and basically my life after that.
      Keep on button mashing!

Nice video! Really cool man. I've been searching for tutorials on how to connect a Taranis to a flight joystick. Is it okay if you share all the wiring and information you've used on this hacking? I would really appreciate it for my college thesis. Thanks again!

The setup is really awesome. I was in a motorcycle accident a bunch of years ago and don't have enough fine motor control of my left hand to fly anything other than airplanes and even then I don't have much throttle-control.
Any chance you can get me the parts list and instructions to build my own?

Thanks. Just use this instead - github.com/jsa/flystick

Hey, I have a question that you might have an answer for. I recently also bought this flightstick and I noticed that for some reason the deadzone on the throttle lever isn't actually in the middle position, but in like the first quarter of the lever and that the last 10% of the lever is all seen as 100%. This sounds to me like whatever the thing inside the lever is called that is measuring the lever position is maybe misaligned in some way. I don't know anything about how this thing actually works mechanically, but do you think I could maybe rotate some piece inside the lever to make it place the deadzone properly at 50%, which would then probably let me use the top 10% of the lever?

Can you return or exchange it? If not you'd have to open it up and see.

@@NETBotic I got it for really cheap and it's not really that big of an issue. Potentiometer was the word I was looking for. I was just wondering if the potentiometer could be manually turned while keeping the lever position the same. I'll probably open it up eventually, but I'm worried about breaking things.

Hey Jon, this is amazing man! Is somewhat my dream come true! I'm starting my TH-cam channel focused in quad-copters/drones/gadgets and I would really love to talk a about what you are doing. Let me know what you think, thanks!

Thanks! I like your channel, I think you will do well. Yeah if you want one of these joysticks I will have a tutorial up within a week, it's around $70 in parts but I'm working on that too.

Thanks! That is so cool man! I subscribed to be in the lookout for new craziness you come up with. Keep it up, Cheers!!

No way you would share the video as to how you did this is there I'm amazed, and could this transfer over to a different brand joystick ?

    • @NETBotic
      @NETBotic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I tried, there's so much to it and honestly I suck at explaining things. I'm not sure about different brands, but it should.
There's good news though. There's no reason to hack a joystick like this if you just want to fly. If you do this github.com/jsa/flystick you can leave the joystick intact.
