My Setup
FlySky Transmitter Nirvana
PC Joystick Saitek X52 Pro
Remote Control connection to PC Joystick via Trainer Cable using Windbox RC.

Really congratulations. Needs a lot of skills to organize all that and make it work, besides the skills needed to control a drone with the stick and hotas. The feeling must be amazing, like flying a true F16!!! :)

the system I use with the joystick is called Windbox and it is necessary to make my setup. You should look it up on the internet as it is no longer available where I bought it. Neat idea, I'm sure the joystick is easy but the throttle must be hard to use since its not a quick return and slow.
Generally the movements are slower than a remote control but it gives you the feeling of the real and it is worth playing with them.

Congratulations on the assembly, I comment, I am a volunteer firefighter in La Calera, Córdoba, Argentina and I am interested in organizing a similar assembly style for our drone system, we have a drone division for intervention in catastrophes and this style of controls allows us it would be very useful!
Goodmorning sir! Thank you for the comment and congratulations on your work. Drones are the next step of humanity and there are many good reasons to use them, especially in such services. However I do not think it was easy to operate with a pc joystick. It is not vulnerable in space as the movements with the pc joystick are not detailed. Because I have tried both with simple remote control and with the pc joystick with simple remote control I make smoother and more specific movements that otherwise I do not have. However if you are interested in building such a device like this then you will need a Windbox Fpv system unit which will receive a ppm signal from a remote control that will be commanded by the drone or you can also use the receiver directly from Windbox fpv. I've tried several joysticks, but on the WindBox, no axes move or key presses are detected. Thrustmaster T-16000m Airbus, Thrustmaster Hotas, Microsoft Sidewinder FF2, MJOY joystick, but still nothing. What can I be doing wrong, please?

Dude you should connect to a FPV youtube channel like rotor riot or Mr Steele to see what a pro could do. Would you say this is good for fast paced freestyle? I imagine the shorter throws for the thumbsticks makes the controllers better for fast paced drone flying.
Hello buddy! I do not think that one can easily play fast freestyle with joystick ... Maybe with a lot of training he can do it ... However, it is very enjoyable to play with joystick freestyle.

Hi, buddy. Is there a way to use computer mouse to control the JR module? I m studying on a keyboard mouse method to fly FPV drone. The keyboard is very special designed by me with range. I test it on liftoff. With 0 experience and only 25 hours practice I break in world 23 on a track. So I really wanna apply this range keyboard + mouse method on real Drone. I just need the mouse output to the JR module now.

I don't know if you play Helis in Battlefield or Warthunder with mouse and keyboard. If you want, I can send you the 3D model of the keyboard and the python script driver. Then you can print it and try it in liftoff.
I mainly design it for PC games like Dirt Rally or dcs.
