I also forgot to mention that caffeine will encourage that bladder to bully you! Enjoyyy

Just had a surgery for a vaginal prolapse - and botox to fix leekage and just got told by my doctor that carbonated water was bad and irritated the urinary system. NEVER knew that and thought had started a better life (I thought) drinking a LOT of carbonated water to make sure I drank enough).
Awesome video! This added a lot to my knowledge. And let's talk more about this. Keep meeting women who says they have issues but "this is just how it is being a woman right!" - No - it doesn't have to be!!

As a teacher I feel so validated that you mentioned how hard it is for us to go pee. Not holding it in anymore!! I'll get the teacher next door to watch my class

I actually used to be a high school teacher so I see youuuu 👀 I know someone that would get them almost every month as a teacher 😩

I work in a high security lab. When I need to go to the toilet I have to completely change from my overalls, disinfect properly etc into my street clothes and the other way round after the fact.
Sometimes you need to stay with an experiment for 2-4 hours straight. If I then need to go I have to hold it in.
When I manage to go to the toilet later on not all of the pee wants to come out at first, some of it stays inside the bladder. If I leave it at that and dress myself that last bit of pee comes out straight into the pants.
What helps me is stopping to pee for a short time then letting it go. Then stopping again and so on until all of it is out.
I don‘t know why but this sequential contraction and relaxing of the pelvic floor muscles helps me to completely empty my bladder.

I’d say the demographic of your watchers includes women over 40 too. 😁 Good info! Great for women and girls of any age. The body keeps the score!

I struck gold when I found your channel. First video was about your wife’s pocket sized bullet journal and now here I am. Binge watching all your videos.

As a woman with a bladder prolapse who has seen many women’s PT’s, I think I learned more from your video then them. Thank you!

Yes to all of this. I'm a teacher and am holding or going when I don't have to - all the time! Super great suggestions Simie! You are awesome.

Simie! This was so informative, I never realized physical therapy could be an answer for bladder issues. Gonna show some of these pointers to my dad, who also has bladder issues

I’m a middle aged lady, and all of this applied to me my whole life. Unfortunately, I’m now on a diuretic for my blood pressure, and when I have to go, I reeeaaally have to go. I still wind up peeing “just in case” a lot, especially since I have a phobia of getting stuck on a subway and needing to pee (this has actually happened several times). I’m going to avoid peeing too soon when I know I really don’t need to. Thank you for addressing this important topic!

Such a great video! I'm in my mid-40s and have seen a PT for pelvic floor issues. The PT is great, however your explanations are so clear, I was able to absorb a lot more of the info. Here's to your your TH-cam channel exploding!

Very interesting and useful vid, but please don't use background music.. it kills your words.

😬 using music is one of my favorite part of making videos! I’ll consider lowering the volume at least 👍🏾

But turning down the volume a little bit would be nice.

Just because it flatters me oddly to make the statistics lie :
    ✨ I'm a man and I'm almost 53 :)
