Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. When he's drinking alone at the campfire, it feels kinda sad. its as though he's reminiscing on his past and thinking about all of his good and bad times.

I do quite a bit of red dead RP. Often I will drink beer while doing RP. At times I will have my character sit by a fire and I think back all of the cool and bad RP times I remember , always chasing the dragon for the good times . I feel his pain .
Somehow watching Uncle's daily routine adds so much more depth to him, and considering in the game he has few appearances in the story apart from the Epilogue, it is nice to see this retired outlaw go about his business.

You can tell how much Arthur actually does like Uncle when talking to him during Chapter 6. He’s genuinely concerned about Uncle’s safety
Same with Pearson. You can tell Arthur really cares about Pearson during his interactions with him.
So Uncle just drinks around the camp all day and is allowed two bowls of stew where as Arthur works his ass off and is only allowed one bowl, if he's not too late. No wonder Arthur's grouchy a lot of the time
The difference could be that Uncle doesn’t ask! It’s much easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission, right?
He doesn’t pick up one batch of hay, not one pack of food, not even a box, and im up here donating money so he doesn’t have to work.
He's older than hell let the man rest. He is redeemed when he saves John anyways

I’ve always loved uncle, he’s such a quirky character.
I’ve always thought he actually was something in his youth, “the one-shot kid”, I think he’s done things, things that haunt him. He grew up an outlaw, lived hard times and survived, chances are his hands got dirty.
Personally I think that he was an idle swine all his life, people don't change...

Some may not believe Uncle, but I do. I believe it’s an amazing contribution and fitting end to the legendary bounty hunter wrongfully turned outlaw. I also believe that he just simply thought to himself “I’ve done all my work, protecting the innocent and taking down serious outlaws and other bad men. I think I’ve earned myself a drink and some rest, for as LONG as I need. I’ll keep an eye on everything, keep everyone safe, and you just make sure I get two meals a day. Whiskey will keep me filled up the rest of the day lol. Hell I’ll even play a little diddy on the BANJO every once in awhile, keep ya entertained. Dependin on the whiskey that is lol 🪕🥃”. Something like that.

I love old Uncle. Such a sad character in many ways, but tries to be funny. Has to deal with everyone looking down at him... yet goes out at the end of his days like a trooper. Those "memories" he's thinking of while drinking alone must be hard indeed; yet due to how he dies, he was probably biting his tongue through all the abuse, knowing that he could have done more, but the past weighed him down. That's my take on him. RIP Uncle.

Uncle is one of the most funniest characters from RDR 2 but after seeing this vedio and clearly seeing his expression while drinking it made me to think this guy had something really bad in past

Many of the gang survived throughout RDR2. Every female except Grimshaw and Molly, Charles, Jack, John, Dutch, Pearson, Bill, Swanson, Trewlaney (if you count him) and of course Uncle.
Even if you include RDR as well then we can assume many on that list lived out the rest of their lives to a natural death. Exceptions of course are Dutch, Bill and John
His first beer of the day is actually a bottle of liquor. Actually every bottle he drinks is whiskey. Look at the difference between his bottle and the beer Pearson is drinking. Scratch that, he grabs his one and only beer of the day after he suffers from alcohol poisoning when he goes to sit by the fire.
That's lumbago, not alcohol poisoning.
As a side note: he doesn’t pick up beer that’s actually a whiskey bottle the beer bottles are small you can also read the label on the bottle he’s holding which says it’s bourbon
You should do Kieran's daily routine from chapter 2. Both while he's tied up and after he is allowed to roam the camp. It would be interesting to see just how much the gang bullies poor Kieran, and there'll be plenty of interactions people will have missed.

There’s a detail I’ve never seen a video of, but it’d probably be lots of hard work to record it: the Trapper’s unique dialogue for all the legendary animals. You know how if Arthur physically carries a pelt/carcass to the trapper, he’ll say something like “I’ll take a look at that pelt if you want to sell it”?
If Arthur physically carries the pelt or carcass of each legendary animal to the Trapper counter, the Trapper has a comment to make about each one. Like “A piebald buck skin eh? That’s only the second one I’ve ever seen” .. or “Well shit, if it isn’t Giaguaro. Good hunting, friend”.

One time I was away for days before I came back to camp with lots of food and money to donate. Then went and shaved, ate stew and as I was heading for the poker table, Dutch came storming over and growled "Arthur, you're hanging around camp like a bad smell, you need to get out there and do something!"
I was thinking "WTF man, I've been here for 2 or 3 minutes", meanwhile Sean, Uncle and Bill are all passed out drunk in the middle of the day. So I left and didn't come back to camp again. After some weeks away the game keeps sending Bill, Charles and Javier out to find Arthur saying he's needed back at the camp.
Drinking like that and all the illness he got is Lumbago... What a monster

Considering his age and the time he lived in (and thus what he all experienced, aside from his own tales), he is a very sad character, who plays over his own pains with being the comedic relief.

The funny thing about Uncle drinking so much is that by modern standards, people who lived during that time would be considered alcoholics as they drank a lot more alcohol than most people today do now. It was due to lack of clean, drinkable water so the next best thing would be alcohol
