- It's one of my most ambitous builds and something I still get asked about today. This video is all about the 1999 Dodge Durango that I documented in Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine

I followed this build closely in the magazine. I would love to see it come alive again.
I loved following that build back in the day.
I've always loved the first gen Durango for some reason. I've had the fantasy about sticking a Viper motor in it for a long time. I'll probably just do a Hemi motor because it's a heck of a lot easier, but I'm glad to see somebody did it.
I absolutely loved this build!! Read ever article in the mags
Following now because i never heard of this and know I need to know more. Definitely need a current video of this truck
Love this one, hope you getting it up and running again seeing it on some videos would be awesome. This one and the big red Dakota from the mags were always a favorite
I’m trying. My friend that owns it seems open to it. Hopefully, I can get something going soon. That red Dakota was one of my favorites. It’s partly why I choose the Durango since a Dakota had already been done.
The 4 door red Dakota on 39 boggers? Is that the one you talon about?

Such a cool rig!!! So unique!
👏🏼🤣 RED RIVER!? You'd be surprised to know that my first trophy that I mentioned was won when running against Red River at BMRA Barnwell Mtn in Gilmer, TX!
A shame that they shut down the air strip, it was fun on those inverted faces... I wanted to do TTC in Hollister, but same the outcome. A lot of fun up there, I'm from the Beaumont area on I -10... Texas, and not California.
That explains why you chose that Durango... 🤣
Gonna blow up
Edit: your channel, not the engine 😂
😂 Thanks! I hope you’re right.
