True. Many channels or editors just throw black bars, add boom sound effect and a LUT pack and call it cinematic..

Excellent work. It's beautiful, it's clean. The colorimetry in post production is just perfect. I often say that a beautiful cinema image is a good job of light, not too sharp but rather organic lenses, like vintage lenses, and a balanced image in post production. Many people make the mistake of ignoring these values. They accentuate the contrast a lot and give blue tones and think they get a nice picture. Here, we are almost on a typical Arri image.

Usually, people with this much talent and good use of equipment aren't shooting tests and tutorials on cameras like the BMPCC4K, and it helps perpetuate this idea that you need an Arri or a RED to get a convincing "cinematic" look. Realistically though, anything with excellent dynamic range and color is going to be "good enough" for image quality, you just have to make sure the camera meets the practical shooting demands of the project. Thank you for showcasing how much is possible with very little, and providing this excellent breakdown of techniques!

Beautiful stuff man! Love the way you broke down the effects of "1 sun" into multiple components with 2 HMIs and the Godox. This is how you differentiate a pro from an amateur. Sometimes it was abit tough to understand all you said but we all appreciate the detail and care you put into these. Keep em coming
