Evo2 intercooler install and tuning update!

- Found an awesome deal on an Evo2 Intercooler and I updated the tune to run and E30 blend. (Stage 2 E30 Agg) OTS from BM3. I have new injectors and HPFP on the way and am still trying to figure out what direction I should go with the Turbo. I am leaning towards frankensteining something together from a stock manifold, the only issue I am running into is converting the 328i Internal WG to an external setup so I have more turbo options. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Should look into Navardi Tuned, they’ve been developing a manifold as well as other parts specifically for the n20/26 platform.

Working on it! I have everything mapped out for the build, just waiting on parts to start fabricating stuff. The turbo setup is going to be a little ghetto at first cause I don't feel like paying $2400 for a manifold and downpipe setup.

Hey, Thanks a ton! I have the OTS map for the trans from BM3, it definitely changed the shift points and made everything a little more tight when shifting. Not familiar with the xhp, do you know what the difference is?

You should definitely do it, really fun and if you run into any issues just hit me up. I am working on getting the turbo sourced now, I have everything planned out, just need to start building my kit. Fueling is on the way minus the low pressure fuel pump, I think I can run the stock lpfp to about 450-500 which is what I am aiming for at first, I still need to find some ARP studs for the 10mm bolts and do some head work to get everything ready for big power. Going with Cary Jordan tuning, I will have a parts list in the next video or two.
You definitely should not. The money you will spend between the turbo fueling and tuning just to make 400whp(maybe) will have you still losing to everything on the road besides corollas. I came from a 328. I’m trying to save you heartache. There’s nothing you can do to the n20 in reasonable means to make it fast. Get any bmw 6cyl.
@@tevonetienne4200 yeah ive heard so many reasons on why not to go all out on this platform lol, honestly im really fine with the car being fbo and stage 2 tuned only cause its my daily then i have my evo x gsr that im in the process of starting to build 😂 would much rather build that 😂
I've spent a total of $1800 on parts for my N20 so far thats forged internals, the decking, and fueling for full e85. I have another 4k in parts speced out for the head work, tuning, and turbo. What I have in the car now can handle 600hp no problem. Just to buy a 335 is more than I have as a total investment here. Plus the inline 6 is an easy platform to build on, doing something different and learning along the way is why I decided to go all out. I don't like doing what everyone else is, on marketplace here you can find 10 600hp 335s for sale at any time.
After all that work of this car makes even 420whp I will eat my words no problem. And wanting to learn is something different. But if the goal is to have a car that doesn’t get spanked by new economy cars after dumping $$$ into it then the N20 is not your engine. I came from the n20 brother I wanted it to be even a halfway good engine so badly but in the end I wanted a fast car and so I had to move on
My N20 would take a while to upshift as well in sport mode, if you run just normal it will upshift earlier. I’m not sure what the actual reason is with sport mode staying in lower gears but I believe it’s to stay in the powerband even know these cars make peak torque,hp, and boost at like 3500 rpm lol

Had a 328 sold it few months back loved the thing but got a 440. I’m definitely interested in seeing what’s this N20 can do !!!

The front bumper is kind weird. And why is the door handle block or partially black. Just leave it white. Grey wrap looks very good with an oem m sport body kit

Get a new battery, these things require a tons of voltage and this cars been sitting a long time. Wouldn't be surprised if it has dead cells causing your car randomly die on start up, atleast thats what was happening to my N20 after I tuned it.
Yeah, Mine is a little weak, it has been pretty good lately though. I have some battery refreshers at work I might throw on there to see what happens.
