Great 1st look. I am not sure why they painted over the back windows but left the glass in? Seems like a missed opportunity to add an outward opening storage space or door.
It is always funny to me how so many Toyota fans are in the Defender comments. For all the hate they throw at Land Rover and especially the Defenders, they sure are in the comments saying the same 2 or 3 lines over and over about a vehicle in most cases they have never owned or driven. I've owned 5 Land Rovers and currently have a 2022 D-90 and a 2020 4-Runner TRD Pro (Wifes). All the JLR and Toyota vehicles have been reliable in my experience with only minor issues you would have with any car. I drove my LR3 from new to 260k miles and only had minor issues. The Defender has been my favorite and most capable vehicle by far in terms of blending on road manners and aggressive off-roading. I haven't had a single warning light or issue with the car and I am 40k miles in. The D-90 with a 2" lift, 34" Tires, winch, onboard air and roof rack not only looks amazing going down the road but is also capable enough to go 99% of places you want to go and get back from. It cost a fraction of what it cost to modify the D-90 and make it offroad worthy vs what I have had to put into the 4Runner. Both great cars but my history with JLR has been great for over 20 yrs now. The 4Runner is just Meh... Great SUV but just does nothing for me to drive whereas the D-90 is a driving experience I look forward too every time.
Nice review! Always very worried about the long term quality about the Defender (Land Rover). Will it still be going after the miles add up or will the electronics burn out and become a yard ornament. "You go into the jungle in a Land Rover, but you get out of the jungle in a Toyota."

Like the tires, have the same exact tire setup on my discovery 5. I hate the painted over windows, whoever thought of that should be fired. That will create a terrible blind spot. Overall it's nice if Land Rover would let you customize it and get standard tinted windows in the back.
Why have they removed the Land Rover badge on the tailgate?

@@RichiLew1Alot of people take the GX line off-roading. You obviously don't go to overlanding or off-roading events.
@@RichiLew1 so are landrovers 😆 I ve never seen anyone take a landrover offroad apart from those old defender now "land rover " is joke a lexus is just as good as any toyota 4wd system just needs a little body work
