  • The Airbus A320 is a beautiful aircraft The electrical system has Circuit breakers to protect its systems. These cbs are colored differently.why is that so??? Let’s find out #aviation #aircraft #airbus #a320 #circuit #breaker #electrical

You didn't mention the Yellow Cbs, Sir.

Oh thanks for the heads up totally missed that one ,I think it’s because the aircraft I was working on didn’t have those. those were mainly on the old A320s.Yellow CBs were to pulled only when aircraft is flying on battery power .On aircraft without yellow-guarded circuit breakers, the required action is covered in the appropriate irregular procedure.

    Sir,
what's the number on the cbs. Does it represent the voltage that the system can sustain before tripping. If so then,
The breaking system has 3V limit,
The breaking fan has 7 ½ V limit.
Why does the break fan have a higher number than the break system?!

The number on the CB is the the maximum current allowed, ie 3 for 3 amps. Now a CB is a very basic device, not very precise, for a 3 Amps CB it could trip at 4 or 5 amps only, but still reliable. Based on heat generated by current.

The braking system is only likely to be powering hydraulic valves and sensors - quite low power devices.
Brake fans are a big, fast, noisy fan.

@@someonesomewhere1240 For exemple on an A320 Brake fans have separate CB's (2x 7.5 A) and the braking systems CB's are related to the computer (4x 3 A) .BSCU for Brake & Steering Control Unit and the associated sensors.
