Excellent explanation. Very clear and to the point. 1st video I have ever watched for such clear explanation about relay coordination on TH-cam. Thank you. Keep making videos like this. 👍
Sir thx.one small query @about not clear if dot represents inrush current in tht case LV curve shown below dot is means tht LV ACB or relay operating lower than inrush or inrushblocking is used pl.clarify. Regards.
Sir I have an etap software but the basic problem is that in case of differential protection or in case of relay coordination it does not have an option of PS class CT please provide suggestions for this
Sir, would you gave me more information parallel transformer protection coordination in double bus-bar and also about protecting only selected transformer from the parallel one. Thanks for willingness
Could u please clarify the difference between 51G and 64R and please explain if the relay actuated which breaker I.e either hv to be trip or LV to be tripped
PSM you need to calculate if you go by the hand calculation. Yes it is not an input setting to numerical relays. TsM is the time setting or time multiplier
Thank for your video. In the primary side, pickup current = 1.3x FLA, but secondary side, pickup current = 1.2 x FLA.. Is there any reason with two different value?
Excellent explanation..how can I calculate relay 67 / 67N and 32 if my load is 6MW can you please explain....I am looking for manual calculation without using software...voltage 4.16kV..
Sir can u please suggest book for relay coordination for numerical relay ,As well as what type of protection we should provide for different types of electrical equipment .
Sir can you please make the video of how digital relay like schinder abb work? I have seen many time there is using logic gate how they help for working the relay?
Good explanation but i have a question. when 2.5 MVA transfo switched on inrush current will flow. as 50(HV1) consider inrush, this will allow it. but 51( HV1) has lower limit of pick up current. Does this allow inrush current to flow?
51 will pickup but won't trip because inrush will be decreasing in nature. So the relay operating time will increase. And before tripping the inrush will be ended
My question is why in setting of 51(HV2) the short circuit fault current is considered?. I understand that ansi code 51 is for phase time overcurrent and ansi code 50 is instantaneous overcurrent. Therefore such short circuit fault current should be considered in setiing of 50 (HV1) and not 51(HV2)
Hi Sir, May I please know where exactly I can find the relay time selection as you mentioned in this video? Can you please provide me the specific link? Many thanks!
What are difference relay cordnetion between 400/200/132/33 KV Substation to 33/11kv substation earth fault over current Numerical relay cordnetion please suggest me
thank you sir : the equipements of electrical power system are transformer , medium voltage cable , bus bar and motor electric so we have different zones of protection in our electrical system and we must be provided by relays according to type of défaut electric my question is how to choose type of relay (50/51) and its calculations
Transformer is rated in kva. So how power factor will come in picture??? Restricted earth fault relay is instantaneous relay, special type of protection...
Sir,A minor mistake is there in full load current calculation .. the values are correct but the formula is given like this Power/√3 /voltage....It should be like this Power/√3*voltage
Very good illustration of relay co-ordination. Thanks for making this video.
Excellent explanation of relays, the most important protection devices
Excellent explanation. Very clear and to the point. 1st video I have ever watched for such clear explanation about relay coordination on TH-cam. Thank you. Keep making videos like this. 👍
Watch the second part for earth fault..
It was really helpful and precise. Thanks a lot
Excellent brother. Good work. Thanks.
Very informative.Good way of explanation.👍👏
amazing work
Sir thx.one small query @about not clear if dot represents inrush current in tht case LV curve shown below dot is means tht LV ACB or relay operating lower than inrush or inrushblocking is used pl.clarify. Regards.
Great effort friend
Thank you for this, waiting for differential protection discussion from you sir.
Sir I have an etap software but the basic problem is that in case of differential protection or in case of relay coordination it does not have an option of PS class CT please provide suggestions for this
best video on youtube
Is this co-ordination good for numerical relays, since they have inrush protection in them
Sir, would you gave me more information parallel transformer protection coordination in double bus-bar

What if the system is supplied by 2 parallel Tx?
Amazing video
Sir pl a video for ht industrial meter showing 02 nos kvar reading in secure premier e3m051 .pl clarify two reading parameter
Great initiative. Please Continue 👌👌👌
Thanks alot. How can i coordination o/c relays when 2 motors exist on LV busbar
Motors are instantaneous or 0.05 second delayed. With breaker operating time it will be around 0.11 sec. Now co ordinate accordingly
Can i have your email sir due to sent network to you.i coordinated one network.could you please check it
Good class....need class for machines
thank you very much on your video
Hai can you explain about Synchronoscop...
Please make a video of Battery sizing calculation by IEEE method.....
Could u please clarify the difference between 51G and 64R and please explain if the relay actuated which breaker I.e either hv to be trip or LV to be tripped
hv to be tripped.
51g is idmt over Current relay, where as 64 is Differential relay
Which book due you referenced?
I see youre blogspot what you mean by B/C AND I/C and PCC, what does it stands for?
Pcc-power control centre(switchboard)
I/c-incomer
B/c-buscoupler
Please can you show us how to do baseline data calculation for over current relay coordination in transmission line using software digsilent.
Sir,Pl make video on different IEC Characteristic and relay coordination using them
What is psm and tsm in numerical relay . i don't find that tipe of setting in numerical relay?
PSM you need to calculate if you go by the hand calculation. Yes it is not an input setting to numerical relays. TsM is the time setting or time multiplier
@@electricaltechnologyandind5335thank you very much for your response.😍😍
Sir which book u follow ? Is this overcurrent protection scheme ?
Bro which software are you using for explaining this ?
Thank you for vdo..
I hv one question..How to select transformer withstand capacity?
As IEC 60076 (Standard for Transformer) withstand time is 2 sec for through fault.
A trafo shall be capable to withstand for two second with one end short circuited and rated voltage applied at the other end
@@electricaltechnologyandind5335 good job, I liked your video. Quality content !

Sir can you please make the video of how digital relay like schinder abb work? I have seen many time there is using logic gate how they help for working the relay?
Setting of 50 hv1 should be higher than secondary short ckt. reflecting on the primary. Setting at lower level will affect coordination
Perfect

Great
Very good presentation. But the question is why 51(HV2) does not have any instantaneous element 50(HV2)? and only 50(HV1) has instantaneous?
Lt 3phase motor safety overload realy setting combination of thermal relay and electronics relay
Hi Sir, May I please know where exactly I can find the relay time selection as you mentioned in this video? Can you please provide me the specific link? Many thanks!
I am really hoping that you will notice my post the soonest and get a feed back on this. Many thanks!
The relay timing I explained is my experience and some calculation regarding the fault withstand capability of bus bar, cables, transformer etc.
Very nice explanation sir......what about unbalance current in one phase... current circulate line CT? Trip?
If there is negetive sequence then you have to give elnegetive sequence relay, if earth fault then earth fault relay will trip
THANKS YOU SO MUCH SIR , HOW WE DEDUCE PSM FORMULA
Those are ansi and iec standard. So no need to deduce
Can you please show same topic using ETAP for next video if possible?
👍👍👍

calculation of 50 and 51 is already there.. you can watch it
Thanks a lot sir when we use IDMT relay or instantaneous relay or both in different zone of electrical system
Why no 50 HV2 function ?
Superb illustration, can you make video on Fault current calculation?
I will make. I am out of my home town. So dont have the set up. Hopefully from October end such videos will come
@@electricaltechnologyandind5335 Great 👍
Thanks for the video. Very clear explanation. Can you make video for directional over current with 2 sources??
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much
at 9.25 seconds setting for 51LV you calculated sec. current without pf. why? then why restricted and differential relay is not part of coordination?
