The numbers shown at 7:42 represent the time dial of a given setting. By increasing the time dial, you are increasing the minimum response time (shifting the curve upward). The shaded region represents the minimum and maximum response time. (The breaker should trip within the time specified). You can coordinate multiple circuit breakers in series by ensuring the curves of different breakers do not overlap. If downstream breakers are in parallel, you may have to account for different levels of current seen at each point.

Thanks It is very helpful. In sepam relay setting in etap Regarding to the instantaneous trip , is it necessary to be set with new element or with the previous over current element. Also regarding to the ground fault trip what we should select? Thank u dear
Dear sir, could you help me explain why the time delay setting for long time current set at @6 x Ir? I appriciate your answer and look forward getting your answer soon.
I have an outdoor circuit that breaks after less than a minute of delay. The circuit feeds 4 gate poles, I was able to isolate the short to one of the poles. Any suggestion why the breaker trips after several seconds and not instantly.
Answer this question for me if you know?why in england dutch germany we use curve b and in france italy we use curve c,What is the use of the 1p + n circuit breaker, and why monopolar circuit breakers are used in some countries and in others 1p + n? Maybe make some videos about these topics
Anas Nori Thanks! We have more on Circuit breakers coming soon. We just released a few yesterday on PowerPact mounting options, how to determine interrupting ratings when you encounter a need to substitute a PowerPactTM for one of of our legacy MCCBs, and an intro to our MicrologicTM electronic trip units.
Zunaira Ghaffar, we just released yesterday more videos on PowerPact mounting options, how to determine interrupting ratings when you encounter a need to substitute a PowerPactTM for one of of our legacy MCCBs, and an intro to our MicrologicTM electronic trip units. We should have more coming in the February/March timeframe. Enjoy and take care!
