    Is It Normal for Toddlers to Have Flat Feet?
    It is a fact that most toddlers are flat-footed, but this doesn’t mean that this condition should be left untreated. Most medical professionals advise parents to be patient and just wait for their toddlers to develop an arch or to “outgrow” the condition, but the fact is that several of these toddlers don’t develop an arch, and parents end up regretting not having taken action sooner.
    Flat feet can lead to foot and leg pain, muscle tightness, muscle weakness, or your toddler having trouble keeping up with peers in performing age-appropriate activities.

    I tried those New Balance shoes you recommend and they worked really well for my daughter's feet. Her foot posture is a lot better and she also looks more stable. Thank you sir!

    Hi your videos are really interesting! My 18 month old has flat feet and his pronation is exactly like the video! Sometimes he drags it a little bit. We were told this is normal at his age and should do a wait and see until he’s 2 years old. Would you help me somehow? What should I do? His pediatrician doesn’t want us seen just yet since he is so young.

      Hello, I am glad that you find my videos informative. I agree that it's totally normal for an 18 month old to have flat feet, as children can develop arches until they reach the age of five. However, not all flat feet are the same. The degree of your son's flat feet and pronation will help determine whether he can benefit from wearing supportive shoes, orthotics, or both. Is there a history of flat feet in the family? Is your son having stability issues? I think this is a good starting point: fittingchildrenshoes.com/how-to-measure-your-kids-foot-2-simple-steps-to-determine-foot-length-and-foot-width/ You will find my email in that resource and we will be in touch.

      @@fittingchildrensshoes3814 I would love to get back to you on that! We purchased the shoes recommended specifically the new balance ones and he looks better. Though should we keep him without socks? I also wanted to ask what your thoughts were on crocs?

      @@Elizzyl99 I am happy to hear the shoes are working well for your son's feet. I suggest wearing socks with shoes as socks act as a barrier between the feet and the shoes and help prevent foot issues such as blisters. Crocs are fine for short periods of time, like walking to the swimming pool and coming back. For longer walks you will need a sandal with more substantial and supportive outsoles, such as Keens or Tevas. Hello Fitting Children's Shoes. My toddler has flat feet and stability issues. My doctor told me it was normal but he did recommend supportive shoes as he described him as having "strong pronation". I am a bit confused as the doctor recommended "supportive shoes" but didn't tell me which ones to get (I think he had no idea). I want the shoes you show on the video that are supportive and lightweight but I don't know which specific one to oder or what size. I believe my son has wide feet but I am not 100% sure. Help me please.

      Hello, I am happy to help. Our first step should be to retrieve your son's exact foot shape and shoe size. I understand you believe he has wide feet, but we need to be 100% sure that his feet are wide and not extra wide. I can also help you determine whether he has high insteps or not. Use this resource: fittingchildrenshoes.com/how-to-measure-your-kids-foot-2-simple-steps-to-determine-foot-length-and-foot-width/ Once you send me an email with the required information I will be able to send you specific shoe recommendations.

      Hi your videos are very helpful. My 3 year old has very flat feet and feet roll in. He has been given insoles where one side is higher to help lift the feet. Are there any shoes you recommend for him please that also can be used with the insoles?

    • @fittingchildrensshoes3814
      @fittingchildrensshoes3814  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sweetrouble17 Yes, we need shoes that provide a stable base of support, firm heel counters, and extra depth, to allow the insoles to fit properly inside the shoes. I suggest that you email me so I can help you find the correct pair of shoes: fittingchildrensshoes@gmail.com
