I had flat foot when I was young (~10yrs old). Doctors made me do excersices similar to the towel one, but better. I had to pick up marbles from the floor with my feet and put them back in their jar. I did this two times a week for around 3 months (plus added some time at home) and now I have a beautiful arch.

My flat feet used to be bad, and then I started doing foot exercises regularly to correct my toes and help improve the arch. I definitely have corrected the lack of arch. It’s much better than it used to be. It was even more painful when I was even more overweight.

Dry needling works wonders man! I had it done about 8 years ago for plantar fasciitis and I haven't had to go back since. I am also a PTA and I perform a lot of soft tissue mobilization for the feet for my patients. Dope video!

Also my big toe is adding a bit more of a placement gap between it and my index toe haha. But I still have to do the exercise and wear things from time to time to maintain where I’m at. Which is just my personal struggle, but I am seeing changes so far.
When you are going to get acupuncture needles you must relax and stay relaxed while the needle is in your body. If you get tense, needle goes in, and the second you try to relax it is too late! Your tensed muscle received the needle in an estressed state and the pain and discomfort won't go away till needle comes out. REMEMBER RELAX AND STAY RELAX ❤
Basically your whole kinetic chain , and your biomechanics , daily foot and care is vital to your self care routine ...just makes everything better ...the feet are where the rubber meets the road ...and will effect your whole body believe it or not
An easy way is to start with an Amazon accupressure mat off of Amazon ...put in five minutes twice a day standing on it , and work up to where you can stand on it with no socks ...then work yourself up to needling ..that’s how I started ...hope that helps ...
The thing that I don't understand is that people really think flat feet is bad. There is literally a gene for flat feet; its just a recessive trait to having arch feet. Having flat feet is only bad if you were born with arched feet. If you were born with flat feet, it just means that you have the flat foot gene and its totally normal for you.

You and I have the same tender spots on our arches because of nerve damage from them constantly pounding the floor. He needs to work your calves and Achilles as well, not just the feet. I get dry needling done on my feet, calves, and hamstrings but my doctor doesn’t move the needle once it’s in. I just leave them in for 10 mins. Then I get soft tissue massages on the feet and legs.
The dry needling looks kinda similar to what my neurologist did once and it wasn’t bad. It was uncomfortable but not real painful like this. And I’m someone who is really scared of needles. But then again the needle probably wasn’t in as far as this

It's not painful but aching. It's 1 of the fastest way to relief tension. But before doing this treatment pls get a chiropractor to align your body then use this method to speed up recovery. Another way is cupping. After these treatments, visit the physio to strengthen the muscles to prevent this issue again.
Flat meet is a skeletal problem. Some massaged and needles aren’t gonna change/fix that lol. You can only use some special assistance equipment to help deal with the discomfort
I was born with flat feet, but I never got anything like this. Instead, I wore specifically made shoes for years. My parents took me to an orthopedic center when I was 3, where I would get soles (?) to put on every shoe I had, and my parents would also buy me shoes with an arc, never anything flat. Even now I still wear ''arced'' shoes, and thanks God they did that, because I don't have flat feet anymore. I already have issues with one foot, it'd be a nightmare to live like that.
Crazy that I just got this video recommendation today, because earlier today I was in my physio appointment and he suggested trying dry needling on my hip. I've got a bad issue with hip tightness causing bursitis and we did the dry needling. Right now it's a little bit sore. Feels almost like I worked out, he said that's normal and tomorrow should be similar but back to normal the next day. I can already feel the release
As a person that had flat feet i absolutely disagree because if you’re older than 14 you can’t have physical therapy but instead surgery, my case, and i think it’s just better, you don’t feel pain like this except for the first 3 days, and the first time i stood on my feet right after the surgery i thought i was in hell and couldn’t walk for 3 days, the only times i stood up were to get up from bed to the wheelchair and to the bathroom. After 4 days you start walking again and after 10 days you just need to be careful and not walk much, you cannot by any means do any activity or sport for 2 months after but past that time your life becomes just like before, just without knee pain that i suffered a lot from. Hope that helped😊
In my country needling is named acu punctură Wich means needle puncture. It is a massaging art with healing powers. Only the pacient and dedicated people can master this technique. So when you ever feel a pain in the back or absolutely any part of your body, just go to a physiotherapist that is talented and just as you leave the room you will be fresh and ready to go. I totally recommend it. Oh, and you shouldn't sit straight up in the process of it. I had needles in the same place but not for platfus just for feet pain. It didn't hurt me as much as you but it's pretty uncomfortable. And whatever you do don't move or contract your muscles.
Best part is you don’t need someone who knows what they’re doing. It’s not real, so putting needles in wherever has exactly the same effect as putting them in the “right” spots. Placebo.
Having seen this I really want to get you a Munson lasted boot. Arguably one of the few shoe lasts that a flatfooted person can out march a person with an arch. The problem is you only see it on $300+ footwear and it isn't easy to find a well made on these days. The good news is they'd likely last you a decade or more and several resoles with proper care. Nick's Boots in Spokane, WA have a Munson lasted boot coming out next year. If you are still reading this I highly suggest looking into them.
I also had flat feet uncovered when I was 12, simply at 13 they operated on me they put titanium nails inside my foot and after about 10 months they removed them and my foot was no longer flat, the curve is right perfect but better to have gone through that rather than having needles stick your foot without anesthesia 😂

After 4 days you start walking again and after 10 days you just need to be careful and not walk much, you cannot by any means do any activity or sport for 2 months after but past that time your life becomes just like before, just without knee pain that i suffered a lot from.

In my country needling is named acu punctură Wich means needle puncture. It is a massaging art with healing powers. Only the pacient and dedicated people can master this technique. So when you ever feel a pain in the back or absolutely any part of your body, just go to a physiotherapist that is talented and just as you leave the room you will be fresh and ready to go. I totally recommend it.
Oh, and you shouldn't sit straight up in the process of it. I had needles in the same place but not for platfus just for feet pain. It didn't hurt me as much as you but it's pretty uncomfortable. And whatever you do don't move or contract your muscles.

Having seen this I really want to get you a Munson lasted boot. Arguably one of the few shoe lasts that a flatfooted person can out march a person with an arch.
The problem is you only see it on $300+ footwear and it isn't easy to find a well made on these days. The good news is they'd likely last you a decade or more and several resoles with proper care. Nick's Boots in Spokane, WA have a Munson lasted boot coming out next year. If you are still reading this I highly suggest looking into them.
I also had flat feet uncovered when I was 12, simply at 13 they operated on me they put titanium nails inside my foot and after about 10 months they removed them and my foot was no longer flat, the curve is right perfect but better to have gone through that rather than having needles stick your foot without anesthesia 😂
But why though is it not just something natural? I mean luckily I am not flat feet but I don't understand why the need for this transformation

@@kaskovic1993 it can cause foot and spinal issues overtime which in turn leads to back pain and neck pain and headaches. So what doesn’t seem like a big deal could cause whole body pain for your entire life
