Sapphire gem+ agree but I think there is a Peridot a sapphire a peral a type of agate and 2 unknown gems but they are the same type of gems.

Since Fluorite is more than willing to take in more gems, I kind of think she might take in Topaz assuming she gets reformed later on.
I think she will take Aquamarine and become a butterfly or a moth

TophatGeo I doubt that. it's because Jasper fused with a corrupted gem that she got corrupted, and Fluorite isn't that desperate for fusion.

I think they could be era 2 peridots, because the way fluorite talked it seemed like she hadn't always been six gems and the way other characters talked implied she gained some over time, maybe 3 peridots were discarded by homeworld and made it to the off colours, I'd prefer if they were era 1, but I think the assumption they HAVE to be is misguided
I was looking to see if anyone else had this thought besides me.
Hmm, or maybe it's a combination? I mean if there is three peridots one or two could be era one while the other one (or two) is a era two or a first version of era two if one of those exist. Granted that's probably unlikely, but who knows.

@@ionmanea5 it's never been confirmed that era 2 peridots can't fuse. We just know they're shorter and don't have shapeshifting powers.
Everyone is speculating what's in Fluorite, but I really want to know why her form isn't humanoid like all other non-corrupted gems
Heropon_Riki What about Malachite, she looked pretty un-humanoid. Also it's a six gem fusion, it would be quite unstable even if they have a deep connection.
TophatGeo Well Malachite didn't look like much of anything, it just confuses me that she looks like a completely different existing species. Also the temple fusion is still humanoid despite being 5 gems

The only humanoid cross-Gem fusions that we've seen are Rainbow Quartz and Garnet. Non-humanoid cross-Gem fusions are the majority.
AJ Universe Well they still have human body shapes, I do believe we've never seen one outright look anything other than human until Fluorite (minus Malachite, but she doesn't look like anything but a monster really)
I’m hoping they make a Lars and the off colours spin off series. Those characters have so much potential and I want to hear their back stories. I want to know how fluorites and rhodonites gems in their fusions met. Like sure we know the ruby and pearl worked for the same gem and were replaced when they fused but I want I know more of what happened. I want to see Lars deal with the fact that compared to other humans he is immortal. There’s just so much more we need to know

Steven universe is a show WITHOUT filler. Every episode has a purpose to forward the story of the show itself.
Garnet's Universe
There's still a meaning, you clearly just don't see it. The point to it was that Garnet denied it and just never told him after that, thus making it something Steven assumed and then promptly forgot about, as at that point in the show, he was still pretty immature as opposed to how he is now and so he just never brought it up again. We see this show through HIS eyes, it's the reason Garnet's Universe is still important and relevant, thus not making it filler.

Since the "diamond" gem looks like a diamond, could it be a cubic zerconia? It can come in purple, yellow, and white and looks like a diamond at a glance. However, the wrinkle becomes, what is her purpose in gem society? Well what if she had have been a type of bodyguard or body double for the diamonds? It would allow her to meet the sapphire, pearl, and peridots who became her components and know of the war. Its just a thought (and perhaps not a great one) but who knows, right?

Well those could be era 2 peridots who recently fused.
She is asked how many gems make herself up "now" meaning more gems are added as time goes on.
Era 2 Peridots are taught that they can't fuse. How likely do you really think it is that three of them not only decided to ignore Homeworld, but went on to discover how to fuse on their own?
AJ Universe years and years have passed for them. Multiple Peridots could learn over time.
It could also be a mix of Era 1s and 2s.
Or 3 era 2 Peridots found out Era 2s could fuse together. They were all hunted. They could all have been on the run together.
I think that Era 2 gems who discover their gem abilities are hunted and erased from common knowledge immadiently by the Diamonds
Well you see peridot though she didn't have powers but, she found her mental powers she never knew,
maybe peridots are taught lies and other stuff to keep them straight,perfect, but as soon as someone steps out of line, they just get restarted to keep something like rose quartz from happening again.

3:59 actually the gems do change size for design convenience, on malachite Jasper's nose gem gets larger , and on fusions like sardonyx and alexandrite Pearl's gem gets significantly larger

All SU Theorists just seem like know-it-alls. I really only watch Rose's Universe, Fictional Crystals, Swaggy Thunder and Cartoon Universe. Only time I watch Roundtable, SliceofOtaku and AJ Universe is just to see what dumb headcanon they have so I can say what I think seems more logical

So i did some googling, i think the diamond shaped gem is an Iolite because not only are they purple but they have a very similar cut to a diamond

Just commenting to say you're my favourite SU theorist. You were the first I started watching regularly and I agree with most things you talk about

I know that color is tricky / unreliable here since it changes with the fusion, but I find it interesting how 1 of the 3 alleged Peridots has a different pattern of colors from the other 2. Makes me think that that one is something completely different from the others. (They react different to the change in color depending on what they started as?)

Very interesting video. Let us remember that Off-colors are defective gems, rejected, that are hidden so as not to be destroyed because they are different or defective. And right there with them is another Sapphire that has the defect of only being able to see the recent past, so the Sapphire component of this fusion is probably a defective Sapphire that lacks the power to see the future, and so she had to flee.
And I think that instead of a Pearl this fusion should have a Jasper, since apparently there are gems that have a tendency to affect the shape of the fusion with other gems (like the Rubies that define a body like Garnet and Pearls who have a certain tendency to put their arms around the waist as happens with Sardonix). This fusion has a body like a caterpillar, which is quite reminiscent of the body that Jasper tends to cause in fusions (centaur bodies), as this fusion is made of so many gems the legs simply multiplied. Probably that Jasper is also a defective one, perhaps it happens like Amethyst, which emerged small and weak, perhaps discolored.

The triangle shaped gemstone has a drastically different cut from Peridot's gemstone, so I _really_ don't think think Fluorite is made up of any Peridots. Another green gem? Yes, for sure. A Peridot? Definitely not.
Davi Aiex Heleno I have a theory that maybe Olivine is the name of the Era 1 versions of what Peridot looks like. Since both are basically the same just different names

era 1 peridots might have been faceted. peridot says that the reason era 2 peridots don't have abilities is because there weren't enough resources for them. since faceted gems are more expensive irl than tumbled stones, if era 1 peridots were faceted that might be a way for the crewniverse to address faceted vs tumbled stones in the show

**The Diamond like gem (Either a Defective gem supposed to be a high class gem or a green tanzanite)* I believe the daimond gem had a defect where her voice is slow and slurred and i feel like this is the reason for Flourite's slow speech *

Okay, this is really bothering me. Can everyone stop saying that Peridot can't fuse?? It's not proven that she can't fuse. Yeah, she may not have been shown to be able to shapeshift, but shapeshifting has barely been a major focus in the show. Garnet has stated that to be able to fuse, you need:
1) A gem at the core of your being (Peridot obviously has a gem.)
2) A body of light (Peridot has poofed and reformed to show she obviously has that.)
3) A partner you can trust with that body. (A gem like Lapis or Amethyst seems like somegem she can trust the most.)
Stop saying Peridot can't fuse. It's not proven. And she more than likely can.
All I meant is some Peridots who know how to fuse. Peri doesn't know how to fuse, and therefor she can't fuse at this time.
Boomage Storm Fusion is by turning your body into hardlight which is also what shapeshifting is, but if she can't change her body using hardlight then she most likely can't fuse. But I hope she can, I need a Lapidot and Amedot fusion!!

I would of thought there was another diamond long ago, Purple Diamond “the diamond of fusion” But now when I read the comments it could be an agate, but I still want to support my theory
I think she(this purple diamond) should be older than pink, so she should be really bigger, and i think fluorite is the same size of pink, if u see obsidian, she is a fusion of 5 gems(ruby, saphire, pearl, amethyst and steven/pink/rose) and fluorite is of 6, obsidian is like, bigger than white bruh, bcuz it has a diamond, if fluorite had a diamond, it would be bigger than obsidian
I think that Fluorite’s gems are a Sapphire, a Pearl/Jasper, a quartz (I think that the “diamond” shaped one is actually just a quartz), and those three gems people are calling Peridots ARE NOT Peridots. Peridots in the show have been shown to have “flat” surfaced gemstones, but the three Fluorite has are divided into three sections. I believe two of those gems are the same gem, or at least the same color of the same gem, and the other one is the same type of gem, just colored differently. But these gems are NOT Peridots. They don’t look like Peridots. (I know gems of the same type don’t have to look alike, as seen with Jaspers, but I feel like that’s not the case here)
Hey AJ, why do you think the Jaspers have such different looking gems? Whey don't they have the quartz gem shape? And why does our Jasper have such a different gem shape compared to the ones at the zoo?
ManBeardly In Jaspers case there are a few things that could explain why she's one of the only gems so far we've seen with a different physical cut/shape than others of her kind that we have seen.
1. Since she's the "perfect quartz soldier" or how it was described, that makes her gem a different shape for some unexplained reason. Possibly to be explained in her possible redemption ark.
2. The crew just made it that shape because it was where her nose was (very lazy if that's the case).
3. Since the zoo Jaspers were referred to as "hideous off colour betas" their gems could be the wrong shape for Jaspers and they weren't shattered due to Pink Diamonds unconfirmed compassion.
Because the ones at the zoo were made on Earth and kind of messed up looking. It was also said that our Jasper came out bigger and stronger than a normal Jasper would

Actually it was confirmed that Jasper came from Earth and was made there. We see the hole she came out of and she even says "I've been fighting since the minute I broke free of the Earths crust."
I am confused why everyone is saying "jaspers". Didn't we only see one jasper at the zoo? Her nickname was "skinny", shown when amethyst said "Skinny's a jasper". Per the name, skinny was much skinnier than what is considered the typical jasper. Like amethyst, she is physically defective. So what if that's why her gem was circular? Because she came out wrong? Heck, her body type is like a pearl, and her gem looks like a pearl, so maybe she is a jasper but was accidentally made like a pearl? Either way, I doubt that Jasper's gemstone isn't considered normal for a jasper. She was supposedly "the perfect soldier" and I doubt she would be that great if her gem was considered defective or wrong.
My headcanon/theory is that long ago there were a bunch of lesser diamonds, kinds of diamonds such as Champagne Diamond, but were all either shattered or lost because the greater diamond didn't have any need for them any more.

Do you think that the diamond shaped gem could be a knock off diamond type of gem? Like gems in the real world people use as knock off diamonds.
There's definitely a Sapphire in Fluorite's fusion. It makes sense with her gloved hands.
Also, while wee don't know what the diamond shaped gem is, I am going to guess that gem probably has a very round design given that her features a very much unlike a Peridot, Pearl, or Sapphire.

2. I don't know about 3 Peridots, but the sapphire is agreeable. I do think that there is no quarts as Stevens strength surprised them. pink pearl would be more of a game changer than white pearl but I'm stoked either way
Well, also Peridot even stated that they started creating gems with purposely lacking energy to make a proper gem. Which led to her telekinesis power. So while yes, it could be different from the era 1 Peridot simply because of time, it's possible that she is also deformed, not just smaller than a normal Peridot.
I think the forehead gem is something new, same goes for the triangle shaped gems, peridot's gem doesn't have a cut to it, so I think if a peridot was used in a fusion it would just be a solid color like pearl is when fused
I agree with you and I keep thinking the diamond cut gem that makes up flourite is a blue quartz I know I have no prof I just saw a speed paint of flourite's components
I believe the “diamond thing” could be a small diamond kind of like pink diamond. Also, being small is probably how she found her way into the off colors.

3 Peridots
A Pearl
The Pearl's Sapphire
And lastly a Diamond-Shaped Spinel
i want to know who was the recent gem she fuse with. since in the off colors she says something like" am now 6 gems" so she used to be 5 than she found a new friend to eat i mean fuse with.
personally i hoping for all new gems, and the diamond one to be a high aristocrate! not sure what there gems are but i am guessing their colors are 2 greens(or turquoise but i'm going with green), 1 pink, 1blue, and 1 purple.(the purple could also be a white or a pale color, but i am not bugging for a while on the other)
There was this short scene of this gem with a Dimond shape ear in the beginning of the movie when Steven was giving his speech.
Ooh yeah good catch. And she looks kinda greenish, and has the size to help account for how big Fluorite is. I like it.

I might add that there was a much easier way to show that some gems are considered distinct despite having the same shape- namely that the Heaven and Earth Beetles have that same diamond shape to their gemstones, despite the fact that they are so tiny that they are almost _certainly_ not diamonds.

Hey AJ, do you think that Fluorite's navel gem could be the same type as the Heaven and Earth beetles? The facets are the same and although the beetle's gems are the size of the tip of Steven's finger, fusion does cause gemstones to get larger to match the proportions of the projected body.
A defective sapphire with her gem as her eye could explain why fluorite seems to have no future vision while also being part sapphire (assuming an actual eye is needed for future vision to work).
1) def era-1 peridots, because the flourite is made to sound like an elderly person 2) purple diamond-embedded gem could be a lepidolite (pretty much just a shot in the dark based solely off the fact that lepidolites are purple-- it's not like we know much about flourite's character or components' characters)
Sara Sivan It was confirmed that Fluorite sounds like that because she has so many component gems and they need time to all figure out what Fluorite will say.
A bit off topic but I think Peridot will fuse someday she just hasn't had that deeper or a long enough relationship we have seen with other fusions. No idea other than "uninstalled software" to explain her lack of weapon(could see her having shuriken or kunai tho) and shapeshifting.
I know there is no such thing as in having too many gems, but it's starting to become too much to handle. I get where your coming from, but I'd at the very least hope that the crew isn't too lazy and just gives us gems of the same type we already know. We need new gems and Fluorite is a good candidate:

3 Era 1 Peridots
1 Pearl or Jasper
1 Sapphire
1 Diamond Faceted Gem
My Theory:
2 Era 1 Peridots.
1 New Gem with a Peridot faceted gem.
1 Glove Wearing Aristocrat with Pearl faceted gem or the Water Bear type of gem.
1 Most likely a Sapphire or a new gem (hopefully).
1 Diamond faceted gem that I hope is an Agate or the Heaven and Earth Beetle type of gems.
I just really don't for Fluorite to be several gem types that we've already seen, we need new gems.

Do you think the diamond like shape one could be like the heaven beetle gem? Because I don't think another diamond would happen (as cool as that would be I don't think that could happen because another diamond hasn't been referenced.)
I personally think that Fluorite is:
2 Era-1 Peridots (triangular chest gems)
1 gem that has a similar chemical makeup as a Peridot but is technically not a Peridot (triangular forehead gem)
1 Pearl (smooth chest gem)
1 defective mini Agate (square navel gem) (Grape Agate or Blue Lace Agate)
1 Off-Color pink Ruby maybe?????? IDK (Faceted round forehead gem)
There is not enough green in her design for her to be 50% Peridot and too much pinks and purples in her design for her not to have a pink/purple gem

Probably not much since she wasn't changing shape or extending anything to make it. The inside of a gem's stomach is probably just light without any guts or anything
There is a Sapphire in there for sure. The gem is a triangular cut because of how you explained it definitely. Fluorites hair is basically a shorter cut of sapphires hair minus the bangs. It's even light blue. Her first set of arms have the same gloves as a sapphire and she often holds them intertwined which each other. That's the standard sapphire pose. I think it's also a factor into why she's so wise, though because of all the other gems she probably can't see into the future, like at all. That's also where she gets all the blue from, like you said.
I kinda like the idea of our Peridot meeting these theoritical Peridots. I can see a nice episode potential there, as giving these 3 a cocky character therefore making our Peridot feel smol and useless again. Soooo it would give a nice moral and... damn, Peridot would be hilarious trying to show everyone what she can xd

Maybe the diamond ish shaped gem is some sort of agate? Since the diamond seemed to have a rather perfect shape. And Holly blue had a pointed 4 sided gem that can be similar
I think there are at least two peridots, maybe three, but one of them has a different colour scheme. Whether this is due to lighting, continuity or the third "peridot" genuinely being a separate gem, is hard to tell at this point in time, I think.
There is definitely a sapphire, pearl, and an amethyst because if you look at opal (the mixture of amethyst and pearl) the stones look alike

I think the gem is an amathist because her legs look like an amathist , she is purple that is the color that is missing, she probably would be smaller like our amathist and maybe her gem is diferent like it happends with Jasper

i think they’d be:
a winza sapphire that has her gem on her eye, which blinds her, so she has a lavender pearl to guide her. (the pearl in fluorite.)
i think the diamond shaped gem is the same gem type as the heaven and earth beetle. i think they are prehnites.
so far we’d have blue, pink, purple, and green, which would leave teal as the last colour to complete her palette. i believe the triangle gem are some type of teal gem, maybe an ajoite? or maybe even larimars? but i think their sides are too sharp to be peridots.
I think that there were more peridots, like how there are pearls for each diamond. The pearl like gem is probably a pearl like you said. I think that the Diamond like one is white diamond
The diamond shaped one could be a heaven beetle gem ( which I've seen someone make a theory of the beetles being moldavites), so possibly purple moldavite
I think it's possible her gems are gems we havent seen yet (like you said, it's possible for gems to share a similar cut).

hey do you remember about the caterpillar coming out of the blue diamond hair maybe it's one of the 6 fusions of rodhonite or it could be a centipede

a diamond shaped stomach gem with a semi-pink coloration on a character introduced directly after an episode that suggests that rose didn't shatter pink, is very odd

i hope we get to meet her components soon. i mean, if the off-colours were to become crystal gems and go to earth, they would have to either take a homeworld ship or go through Lars' hair. if they do decide to go through his hair, i don't think fluorite could go all at once. she's much too large to fit. that was random, but i'd love to see it happen.
Now I can't stop thinking about the perfect Jasper with a round gem for a nose.
the diamond shaped gem is probably the same as the one in the temple way back in season 1

Or it could be an agate or maybe a type of high value gem that can look like a diamond, emerald maybe.
My theory is:
Circular gem: Passion Pearl (A theory to support this, fluorite has gloves)
The 3 triangle gems: Olivines (A theory to support this aswell, peridot is a type of olivine)
The gem with the circle facet: Aventurine (Theory to support this too, aventurine is a type of quartz and most quartzes are considered off Colour, so aventurine could be off Colour and thrown away)
The diamond gem: Clear Quartz (The uncorrupted version of the Heaven and Earth beetle)
Maybe since their is a purple color scheme on fluorite then maybe its something like pink, a small diamond that is red?
I think a lot of su theorys tend to be made with connections that aren't there. The "peridot" gems look nothing like our peridots gem and it makes alot more sense for it to be new character. I dont think its impossible, of course.
I feel like the Amethyst's gemstones were different shades because it reflected their skin color, which some of them were both darker and lighter. Notice how the Amethysts with the gemstones exactly the same as our Amethyst's had a similar shade of purple on their skin as her.
My best guess for the diamond shaped gem is Iolite because it can be purple and because of the shape. I'm probably wrong, and this is just a guess, but it's the best I can think of at the moment.

Since fluorite is a 6 gem fusion why is she smaller then alexandrite and malachite which are 4 gem and 2 gem fusions and why is malachite so big she's only a two gem fusion
I feel like there's only 1 peridot and the other two triangles are some other gem. Also I feel like the gems do get larger to fit the fusion, possibly. There's instances where like sapphires gem looks huge on alexandrite.
