SilverAshes109 That is a good guess, though if she was part Sapphire, she would probably be able to tell the future, which in any of the episodes she was in, she has never told the future
An interesting fact about the real-life gem Flourite: it's gem lore says that it boosts self-love so maybe Flourite takes in gems that are in need of emotional support (we've seen that gems do need support sometimes: we've seen amethyst have a breakdown, ruby rage quit and pearl morn over rose's death)
*ruby rage quit* (seriousness pass the first funny tidbit) Im sorry but that made me imagine ruby breaking the forth wall like she grabs a remote, points it a steven, hits the back button and that's it; thats the end of the episode. Sorry sorry, i had to comment it. In all seriousness thats an interesting fact and I'd love that to be the case with flourite
I like this over the polyamorous theory. A romantic relationship of that many gems would be hard to maintain (take hippie era for example- it was short lived). I think it’s a self love type of relationship of close gems with a common goal in mind. Garnet has a lot of confidence and loves herself. Fluorite seems more calm, well put together and wise. She is very slow and calm. Fluorite is considered to be a healing crystal as well.
That would depend on how many full gems would make up the Cluster. Though if all the gem pieces were reconnected into the former gem as a whole I’m fairly certain it would be too much gems.
WarGround 86 Maybe Topaz will join (she thought Steven's little speech was moving, so she'll probably be really fascinated with Fluorite), and that'll turn Fluorite into the "cocoon," and then Aquamarine will join because she has feelings for Topaz and then we'll have a beautiful butterfly :D
I kinda think that it started with a normal same-type fusion, like Topaz. Those would be the two gems on the side of her chest. From there, they might have invited a close friend into the fusion, and it snowballed from there.
Solar Gaming where her first set of arms are attached, theres two small triangle gems on each side and a round pearl looking one in the middle, under it is the diamond shaped one
The gems do have an age. Time doesn't do it. It's their mindset. Fluorite's mindset is wise and elderly, slower because she's more thoughtful. Fusions are always greater than the sum of their parts. 6 in a fusion, that isn't awesome because of the accumulated power and experience. That is awesome in the same way a polygamist relationship of 6 people - that actually works. 2 people is hard enough. Religious polygamists have the head and all others submitting, not a real relationship. Real relationships are done as equals. A relationship of equals, working as one with 6 individuals, THAT is the amazing part and exactly why Fluorite is the slow, thoughtful, wise and elderly fusion.
SpetsnatzLegion 336 I think this is because how well the gems making up both fluorite and obsidian get along, perhaps the gems making up fluorite work together close to perfectly whilst we should keep in mind how different the crystal gems can be from each other.
@@christopher9067 and I think there may be a pearl, I say this because the round one on her chest kind of resembles a pearl (but a bit round maybe) also, it's hard to tell, but I feel like the shape of one of those sets of arms resembles the slender arms of a pearl (though plenty of gems have slender arms like that so I may be wrong)
i think the limit on fusion components is based on how different the gems are. you can probably pile a hundred rubies together into a ruby-zilla just fine because they are all extremely similar.
starburst98+ I agree. sugilite is only 3 gems. Yet she is to much beacaues of there personalities. Malachite is only 2 gems and is to much beacaues of there personalities.
I think her forehead gen IS a Sapphire, as she has glove-type things like Sapphire, Garnet, Rhodonite and the orange sapphire whose name I never remember.
I interpreted her as a polyamorous relationship between multiple loving partners. It’s not the same as polygamy, as polygamy involves marriage, and is often done for religious/cultural reasons. Polyamory is done for a number of different reasons, and marriage may or may not be involved. There’s also many ways to be polyamorous, I suggest finding poly content creators if anyone wants to learn more :)
this got me thinking, what if fluorite is made up of 3 couples, but they all fused because they were all facing the tyranny of homeworld at the same time, they just happened to coincidentally find other couples and now its like their safe place, and their support group :0
From what i understand of watching the show, people say "oh a fusion looks more humanoid the more stable" and blah blah blah, but i believe a gem's appearance deviating from the average humanoid shape is given by how different the gemstones are to each other chemically Examples: Ruby and Sapphire are pretty similar gems standalone, so garnet barely deviates from the humanoid form, only having a third eye Rose (Steven) and Amethyst, are extremely similar types of quartz gem-wise, so smoky also barely deviates from normal humanoid having a third arm Pearl and Amethyst are very different gems, and so Opal has 2 additional arms (and "shoulders" along with it) to deviate from the normal humanoid form Pearl and Rose should also deviate more from the humanoid form but they just made rainbow quartz have 2 additional eyes Amethyst is very different from Ruby and Sapphire, making their fusion very monstrous, having 5 eyes and 4 arms but still only 2 shoulders Pearl is very different from Ruby and Sapphire, causing once again a 4 armed fusion, who also has 4 eyes Pear, Amethyst, Ruby and Sapphire are very different from each other all together, causing Alexandrite to be even more monstrous Jasper and Lapis are extremely different gemstones, causing their fusion to have no legs, 6 arms and 4 eyes I could keep going if i remembered more fusions or if i wasnt so lazy, but that's enough examples for my hypotesis
steven is a diamond, hes pink diamond pink diamond just took the shape of rose to life on earth without being noticed. florite probably can take an other shape too i guess
Another thing to mention is that with fusions, gems don't remain the same color as they are unfused. For example, Garnet's two gems are both reddish-purple rather than having one red and one blue.
I don't see Fluorite being a fighter, being slower and seems more of the wise and patient type. Given that IRL Flurite is used to remove impurities in metal working, perhaps she has some kind of anti-corruption power or ability to boost her allies power, since material is more useful and stronger in a purified state.
John Roman I think Jasper would be screaming the whole time because Fluorite speaks slowly and doesn't seem to be the fighting type, I mean she could have bitch slapped those robonoids out of the air with ease, but she chose to hide.
I know Flourite has a Pearl gem on her chest. I also believe the diamond shaped gem on her stomach resembles that of an Emerald, like the one we saw in Lars of the Stars and in the opening scene of the movie.
Maybe the gem closest to her eyes is a sapphire, and because of that gem placement maybe the sapphire was blind? That could be an explanation on why she was off-color and met the others.
Last night I had this dream that CN aired the wrong episode of Steven Universe and it had White Diamond in it. It was actually kinda creepy, here's the story if anyone was interested in it: I was watching TV, getting ready to see the premiere of a new episode. There was no light in the room aside from the light emitting from the TV. The episode finally aired, the intro started, though the quality looked like it was in 144p. I was slightly confused. There was no title card, it immediately started with Steven and Peridot in what seemed to be homeworld. Puzzled, I was wondering if this was a case where the end is showed first and then the rest of the episode is a flashback to show what happened. Steven was talking to somebody offscreen, and Peridot was talking to what looked like a white aquamarine. The quality was too bad to understand them. Then it showed White Diamond, responding to Steven. I could feel my jaw drop. She looked like how we'd expect, though with some strange changes like a colored gem and extra arms. She reminded me of Alexandrite. She actually started cheerful, but then became more and more like how we're expecting her to be like; cold and menacing. The quality kept dropping, I realized by then that this had to have been aired on accident. The episode aired for about 2 minutes until the screen went black. I immediately went online with my phone to check if other people were seeing this, but I just found a bunch of fever-dream and nightmarish stuff on there I can't really explain or remember. I was spooked at this point. 5 minutes later, the intended episode started, which was... an episode of Dragon Ball? I woke up. So yeah, my dream was like a bizzare creppypasta. I didn't sleep well.
Star Doctor The General of Time That sounds fun. I rarely dream but when I do, it's an awful nightmare. Much worse than what I wrote above. Though I did have a full-on lucid dream once that was pretty fun.
Honestly the gem cut has nothing to do a what gem is!! Jasper's nose gem looks nothing like skinny jasper or other Jaspers and the famethyst has so many different cuts. There might be more common cuts than others but that's it.
So I think that there’s definitely a sapphire, a peridot and a pearl in that mix. You can see it on the shapes of the gems and the colors. There’s blue, green, pink and a blue-ish purple. The upper gem on her forehead looks like a peridots +the green color. Then there’s the gem under in the shape of a sapphires gem, that’s where the blue color comes in +Flourite has gloves and usually clasp her hands tougher, much like a sapphire would do. And then theres’s the round gem on her chest, that’s probably a pearl (maybe that’s where the blue-ish purple comes from?) And maybe there’s a rose quartz in there too? Because of the pink in her gems? Some kind of quartz
Iris VanRouge All rubies are of very immature like children personalities while pearls have really mature personality like an adult. Also their physical appearance.
I think that Fluorite definitely represents Polyamory much more closely than polygamy. But I agree that people who are polyamourous or are in polyamourous relationships deserve representation just like anyone else!
If you think about it, skinny jasper showed us that quartz’s can have gems similar to pearls, and chip has a gem facet similar to a Ruby, so gems of the same type can look different from each other, so in Fluorite’s case, all bets are off she could be about anything.
I **JUST** realized that the whole thing about same gem fusion being legal + encouraged but different gem fusion being illegal is probably a metaphor for homophobia
If Flourite doesn't know that she has any powers then it could be possible that she formed/fused during the shortage of materials mentioned by Peridot earlier in the series. I also think it's worth mentioning that only the sapphire seemed well aware of her abilities.
Pixeljaba If another gem was in danger of being shattered you'd think that they would try to help if they had the means to fight. And as we find out with Peridot she doesn't have a weapon, but she can manipulate metal. Also as explained in "Know Your Fusion" all gem fusions up until this point gain new abilities or a weapon after they fuse. Another example is that Lapis was an old gem. She had no problem controlling water. Eyeball, another older gem, could create a dagger.
I think fluorite definitely has a sapphire component. One pair of her arms have the white gloves, and are usually folded like how we’ve seen our sapphire and even padparadscha stand a lot. Plus fluorite seems to be very wise, which a sapphire would definitely have a part of
I *love* this fusion; words can not express how happy I was when we got this brand new fusion. I myself, am in a polyamorous relationship; so this was a HUGE win for me and my partners. I like to believe this fusion started out with three gems; typically the ones on her higher chest, as most polyamorous relationships don't start with two people, then adding a third into the mix, my own poly-am relationship started as three individuals, realizing we all had feelings for each other. I would like to think that the two triangles on her chest, who appear to have to be the same gem, are from the same court; being paired together by their respective diamond to work together in some project, as it is not uncommon for same gem types to fuse; we've seen this happen before with Rubies. I want to say after this they are assigned to the gem in the top center of her chest, to which the three of them form a very strong bond, which leads to a sapphire/ruby situation. With all three of them confused at first as to why they feel this way, is it ok to feel this way, etc. They decide to keep their relationship secret and over time aquire a romantical ensemble with the other three gems, the naval, and the two headset gems.
DragonKing 57 polygamy is usually a marriage, meaning a singular closed unit. you can be polygamist AND polyamourous, but that would sort of defeat the purpose of the marriage. some also define polygamy as one person with more than one partner. this one persons partners are never in romantic relationships with each other so its considered a very selfish choice. polyamoury is more like a complex connection system made of different relationships between multiple people. sharing the love is caring. my best friend is polyamourous and has a mate who also has a mate, but my friend isnt that mate's mate, so the mate of a mate is called menamours i think its spelled? its a type of close relat. yeah, it can get confusing, but its worth it if it makes em happy. so fluorite is defs more polyamourous rather than polygamist in that shes more open than a marriage would be.
DragonKing 57 Polygamy= One man and many wives* Polyandry= One woman and many husbands* Polyamoury= Multiple husbands and wives* *Note: They don't _have_ to be married
Am I the only one who thought fluorite was kinda creepy... And also why fuse so many gems when you're fugitives... It makes them really sluggish and harder to escape
These fusions don’t fuse for power, but based on relationship. I have no doubt that Ruby and Sapphire would have stayed fused on earth even if Garnet wasn’t strong or fast like she is :)
I think homeworld gems, like peridot, don't know that they have powers. peridot said something about there not being enough resources when she was made to have powers. the diamonds probably tell all the gems this and give them tools, like limb enhancers or aquamarines wand to keep them within a mold. allowing each gem to have their own individual powers that are unique to them is probably a threat, like fusion is.
That's probably why Yellow said, "I don't care about 'potential' and 'resources'." Because she didn't need them. Is it alright if I use your theory in a book I'm writing on Wattpad? I'll make sure to give you credit.
Skye Lowell Lapis Is pre-war era, I don't even think she has her own diamond, so it would make sense for her to have powers. Jasper, Aquamarine and even Peridot (before she knew she had powers) use tools. And I think Topaz is like Sapphire, where they are made to have a specific power. If they don't have it, they are off color.
Jessica Lewis Wouldn't Lapis be under Blue Diamond's court because she's blue? And Jasper's weapon is her helmet thing (the one she summons when fighting Garnet). Regardless, I agree, the Era 2 gems like Peridot were probably made to believe they had no weapons/abilities or were not informed to prevent another rebellion.
it's not polygamy if it's consensual or not a group of people belonging to one person. flourite is polyamourous! it's is consensual and not creepy cult-y stuff!
SailorNeptuneVasilias well polygamy is not inherrently cultish it's just that the practice has been intertwined with a few extremely religious cults. Definitively speaking the only real difference between polygamy and polyamory is whether or not those parties are bonded by marriage or not. If you marry multiple people then you are by definition a polygamist. Don't believe me, look it up.
polygamy any polyamory are not mutually exclusive, and in fact are often co-dependent on each other. Technically the only way you could say this *isn't* polygamy is because they are technically not married by our standards, as polygamy simply means having more than one husband or wife, whereas polyamory is to be romantically in love with multiple people. So if we were to consider fusion a "marriage" of sorts then yes this would be polygamy because polygamy isn't dependent on consent, or lack thereof.
also forgot to add: "a group of people belonging to one person." is NOT polygamy it's slavery technically and will never be considered polygamy because 1:the people being "owned" aren't married to each other (in a polygamous marriage, as far as i know, all people involved are married to each other) 2:the person doing the "owning" isn't married nor even in a real relationship with the people being "owned"
Polygamy usually includes a central spouse like one man with several wives. The wives don't usually engage with each other physically/romantically and it is commonly religious in nature although it certainly isn't slavery and at least in modern society polygamy is consensual outside of a handful of religious cults where polygamy is abused. Polyamorous relationships are where everyone is intimate with everyone and nobody is the one constant "spouse". They're all in intimate romantic relationships with one another whereas women in polygamous relationships generally treat one another more like sisters or close friends rather than lovers.
Ok, I’m almost certain that Fluorite has a sapphire made up of her. Her first pair of arms have the elbow-length gloves, and both Sapphire and Padparadscha (the only known sapphires to date) have those types of gloves.
I'm not really sure if I'm missing anything here but when I first saw Fluorite come onscreen my first thought wasn't actually that she was a polygamous relationship but more of a non nuclear or stereotypical family, I thought that she was the embodiment of a family of gems, Rebecca Sugar did state at one point that family is one of the main themes of the show in general and I personally presumed Fluorite was another example of how different types of family's come together and how not all family's have to be traditional. Maybe that's just my personal take on her character, idk
Not to mention that the Cluster is composed of force-fused shards of shattered gems, while Fluorite is a willing fusion of whole gems with stable consciousness. The gem shards are only fragments of the original consciousness of the Gem
While I agree with many things in this video today, I would have to disagree with the polygamist idea. Polygamists focus on one person with multiple spouses. Flourite strikes me more of a polyamourist relationship where they are a web of connections and relations not centered around a single person. And this idea has me so excited! Because these are types of relationships not normally discussed because its so unusual.
obsidian is now also a fusion of 6 gems (ruby, sapphire, garnet, amethyst, pearl, and steven/rose), and they don't talk at all, they just kind of roar. so I wonder if obsidian would talk really slowly too
I think I might've found something. In every fusion (made off different gems) we've seen so far the number of eyes is the same number as off all the gems that make such fusion combined. However in the ruby fusion they keep the 2 eyes, so let's talk about the 2 equal in fluorite's upper abdomen gem as 1. So in fluorite's case 4 gems must have 1 eye and 1 gem must have 2 eyes. If this is correct then sapphire isn't the only gem with 1 eye. But what if there are some off colored gems in this fusion that have a smaller number off eyes then what they're supposed to have?
The reason a Ruby doesn't gain any more eyes is because if a fusion is all the same gem, it only becomes a bigger gem, not really a fusion. It's not about the eyes its about if the gems are the same or not.
honestly I'd really like to see Fluorite's gems get introduced when they are talking about something. Not internal conflict talking while being a fusion but as separate gems just calmly discussing something
I kind of hope they do some kind of mini series on stories of different fusions we've seen and fusions we haven't seen just to show us more and give us more little one of character stories
Marilyn Judge I think that they would not be capable to fuse between themselves. They have two minds, but just one gem. For fusing you need to have another gem with another gemstone. So, if they would try to fuse would be like trying to fuse by yourself, without anyone else. And it would be unsuccesful.
a bigger rutile. why? well because when we saw the rubies fuse in the hit the diamond episode, it was a regular ruby but much bigger. same with the episode stuck together. the topaz fusion were 2 topazes, but much bigger.
I think the gem on fluorite’s head way up at the top is a peridot the one below that a sapphire because if you look at her arms the look a lot our sapphire and padparadscha
What? Rutile is so cool and Paddy is such a sweety. The show creators *want* to promote diversity. Those suggestions would only take away from the message.
No one is talking about how old the off-colors actually are. Fluorite said they have been in the Kindergarten for eons. Eons are about 500 million - 1 billion years long. That means that Homeworld has been around that long or longer.
I do remember Rebecca sugar saying she wanted more lgbt representation so she had asked the community and they said there was a need for more poly representation so fluorite is a result of that.
It could be that her component gems aren't made for battle like the Crystal Gems' available component gems like Amethyst or Garnet. No offense to Pearl but fusions with her won't look like battle bosses unless she is fused with a warrior type gem.
It may have to do with the amount of gems. Before, the most (functional) gems we saw in a fusion was 4 (Alexandrite). Then enter Flourite. It should have something to do with the amount of gems.
Did pink diamond plan her own death because she knew that's the only way to end the war? And what happened during the trial was a red herring to throw everyone off?
She doesn’t have to be polygamy. Maybe more like an open relationship with 6 members mingling. But also not all fusions are romantic relationships. They could just be a group of very old and very close friends.
“How many gems is too many gems?” The one thing that you could take into account with this question, in any context, is the Cluster. The Cluster is probably at least tens of thousands of gem shards, each with its own consciousness.. given, though, that they all have the same lost thoughts as well as an extremely strong thought to be whole again. So the answer to the question probably depends on how closely/tightly bonded these gems are. If they’re extremely tightly bonded, then there could be a lot of gems in a single fusion. However, fully functioning gems (i.e. not shards) have a much, much larger range of thoughts, so it’d be difficult for them to fuse and function at some point, like Fluorite shows a bit. Yes, there were definitely too many gems for the Cluster to form (at least, to the extent of our knowledge), but they still had a single consciousness that Steven could communicate with. Just food for thought. ^-^

THANK you
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing ^^ thank you for pointing this out
Actually polygamy is one man, several women, just like polyandry is one woman and many men. Marriage has nothing to do with it.
Obviously. And sometimes monogamous people marry, too.
this got me thinking, what if fluorite is made up of 3 couples, but they all fused because they were all facing the tyranny of homeworld at the same time, they just happened to coincidentally find other couples and now its like their safe place, and their support group :0
From what i understand of watching the show, people say "oh a fusion looks more humanoid the more stable" and blah blah blah, but i believe a gem's appearance deviating from the average humanoid shape is given by how different the gemstones are to each other chemically
Examples:
Ruby and Sapphire are pretty similar gems standalone, so garnet barely deviates from the humanoid form, only having a third eye
Rose (Steven) and Amethyst, are extremely similar types of quartz gem-wise, so smoky also barely deviates from normal humanoid having a third arm
Pearl and Amethyst are very different gems, and so Opal has 2 additional arms (and "shoulders" along with it) to deviate from the normal humanoid form
Pearl and Rose should also deviate more from the humanoid form but they just made rainbow quartz have 2 additional eyes
Amethyst is very different from Ruby and Sapphire, making their fusion very monstrous, having 5 eyes and 4 arms but still only 2 shoulders
Pearl is very different from Ruby and Sapphire, causing once again a 4 armed fusion, who also has 4 eyes
Pear, Amethyst, Ruby and Sapphire are very different from each other all together, causing Alexandrite to be even more monstrous
Jasper and Lapis are extremely different gemstones, causing their fusion to have no legs, 6 arms and 4 eyes
I could keep going if i remembered more fusions or if i wasnt so lazy, but that's enough examples for my hypotesis
I think that's really cool ^^-
Really good point.
Lapis Septo Flufftail wow, I didn't think about that
Huh, i didn't now 🍐pear🍐 was a gem?
steven is a diamond, hes pink diamond pink diamond just took the shape of rose to life on earth without being noticed. florite probably can take an other shape too i guess
Judging from her gloves and how she keeps those hands clasped, especially seeing that gem, I'd say that part is prob a sapphire.
AwesomeJellyBean But she doesn't have big lips like a Sapphire
AwesomeJellyBean and other 1 eyed gems
uwu *yup*
Another thing to mention is that with fusions, gems don't remain the same color as they are unfused. For example, Garnet's two gems are both reddish-purple rather than having one red and one blue.
unless the fusions unstable tho
I don't see Fluorite being a fighter, being slower and seems more of the wise and patient type. Given that IRL Flurite is used to remove impurities in metal working, perhaps she has some kind of anti-corruption power or ability to boost her allies power, since material is more useful and stronger in a purified state.
Damion Smith WHAT IF FLUORITE HEALS JASPERS CORRUPTION AND JASPER FUSES WITH FLUORITE AND THATS THE GEM THAT FLUORITE WAS HOPING TO MEET ONE DAY!
Oh wow thats genius
Woah, dang.
Everyone goes to grandma Fluorite 😂
i fused to become your grandma, and it took a week because we were humongous!
Better question: If she does meet another gem, how in the world will she dance??
BOOGIE DANCE!
she doesn't have to dance tho
Patrick Ortiz wiggle wiggle wiggle
Oh my gos.
THEY USE HER AS A BOUNCY CASTLE
They will defuse and then all the gems will dance and bump into one place
I find theory really dumb, the answer is obvious
She's a fusion between a caterpillar and a grandma
Irene Dougherty this comment just made my day you have no idea
Light of the Shadows I'm glad to hear that
Irene Dougherty and my day is now amazing

Last night I had this dream that CN aired the wrong episode of Steven Universe and it had White Diamond in it. It was actually kinda creepy, here's the story if anyone was interested in it:
I was watching TV, getting ready to see the premiere of a new episode.
Wilfred Cthulu nailed it
Wilfred Cthulu and that beats the complexity of my dream last night, where a cat got stuck in my garbage disposal
That's a mf creepypasta
I'm not going to bed tonight
Star Doctor The General of Time That sounds fun. I rarely dream but when I do, it's an awful nightmare. Much worse than what I wrote above. Though I did have a full-on lucid dream once that was pretty fun.
Lars : What if I enter Lion and I try to exit out my head
Steven : Hmmmmmmm
Steven 3:00am : Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Steven: You can try it, but if you get turned inside out lm not helping you.
Honestly the gem cut has nothing to do a what gem is!! Jasper's nose gem looks nothing like skinny jasper or other Jaspers and the famethyst has so many different cuts. There might be more common cuts than others but that's it.
Ruthie V the reason why jasper's cut looks different is because it's formed over her nose and takes the shape of it
1:19 id say its a sapphire, even when it has the pentagon, it has 3 other facets.
And then theres’s the round gem on her chest, that’s probably a pearl (maybe that’s where the blue-ish purple comes from?)
And maybe there’s a rose quartz in there too? Because of the pink in her gems? Some kind of quartz
Lmao I'm literally sitting at this table in my prom watching this video, fuck dancing.

Welcome to Canada.
Lumona Draws lol this is my third week of summer
Doesn't a episode come out today?
Hey, Fluorite is more like polyamory, not polygamy. A lot of people make that mistake so don't worry just letting you know.
Gabriel Cotto I was about to make the same distinction 😉
Does rhodonite represent pedosexuality ?
The Cosmic Yordle Why would you think that?
Iris VanRouge
All rubies are of very immature like children personalities while pearls have really mature personality like an adult.
Also their physical appearance.
The Cosmic Yordle Wouldn’t Garnet be considered that too, then? (Physical appearances aside).
I think Flourite’s Nose is a definitely Fusion of all their noses.
XxTeenPlayzxX yeah
XxTeenPlayzxX squidwardite
Ketchup King I AM CRACKING UP!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
yeah I'm dead lol
I think that Fluorite definitely represents Polyamory much more closely than polygamy. But I agree that people who are polyamourous or are in polyamourous relationships deserve representation just like anyone else!
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you feel that way :'3
“Fluorite is the biggest fusion we’ve ever seen”
Obsidian: allow me to introduce myself
Fluorite still has more gems in it tho
Cluster: *ahem*
Fluorite is part sapphire. Her arms have the gloves on them. The same gloves as sapphire
Nicole Phelps But then she would have Sapphire lips, but her mouth has no lips.
Lily Hurlstone Summers
*6
Nicole Phelps I think she's sapphire and other 1 eyed gems because she has six eyes and six gems
WaffleTM Enjoys Waffles good point
Nicole Phelps
Not all sapphires use gloves you racist
maybe the triangular gems are era-1 peridots
ooo, me likey! x3
Soooooo he's not gonna talk about the one in the dead center of her chest???
CiscoPlays the one on her chest is a pearl
If you think about it, skinny jasper showed us that quartz’s can have gems similar to pearls, and chip has a gem facet similar to a Ruby, so gems of the same type can look different from each other, so in Fluorite’s case, all bets are off she could be about anything.
I **JUST** realized that the whole thing about same gem fusion being legal + encouraged but different gem fusion being illegal is probably a metaphor for homophobia
If Flourite doesn't know that she has any powers then it could be possible that she formed/fused during the shortage of materials mentioned by Peridot earlier in the series.
I also think it's worth mentioning that only the sapphire seemed well aware of her abilities.
we don´t know if they have weapons yet, maybe they learnt to not fight back the robonoids so the diamonds dont send more
Pixeljaba If another gem was in danger of being shattered you'd think that they would try to help if they had the means to fight.
Eyeball, another older gem, could create a dagger.
this is the only person on youtube that knows what hes talking about when its on Steven Universe
Exactly my thoughts
I love him, his theories ACTUALLY make sense
WaSupDo o What about Cartoon Universe or The Roundtable?
To be honest i thought this was the roundtable. they sound similar and they characters look similar just different style...
The Khaleesi Same at the beginning. By now I've realized though.
I thought that you gave up in talking about the other off-colors, I'm so happy right now.

Floooourite...is...aaa...wooooondeeeerfuuuulll...gem.
Padparadscha: "I predict.. someone will compliment Fluorite! What a nice being!"
Andrea Pazzaglia rutile L:Sorry,
Rutile R: You were right!
I feel like flourites relationship is more polyamory than polygamous
mike063092 what's the difference I never heard of polyamoy?
DragonKing 57 Polygamy= One man and many wives*
Polyandry= One woman and many husbands*
Polyamoury= Multiple husbands and wives*
*Note: They don't _have_ to be married
Andrew Lloyd polygyny, tho usually people think polygamy too. people of nonbinary or genderqueer can do polygamy too. not just men n women bloopbloop
Apollo413 I wasn't saying man and woman in terms of gender but rather sex. Thanks for the help tho (People really say Polygyny tho?)
I feel like the "diamond" is actually an emerald
CBblue+ if so there may be another gemsona I have to get rid of
CBblue I hope so.
Yup If you seen Season 7 Trailer there's a Emerald Gem now
But emerald has a tilted rectangle gem
Me: - puts fruit loops in a trail -
Me: i made flourite!
Good job peridot.
Yeah, i didnt like the way she spoke
I think homeworld gems, like peridot, don't know that they have powers. peridot said something about there not being enough resources when she was made to have powers. the diamonds probably tell all the gems this and give them tools, like limb enhancers or aquamarines wand to keep them within a mold. allowing each gem to have their own individual powers that are unique to them is probably a threat, like fusion is.
That's probably why Yellow said, "I don't care about 'potential' and 'resources'." Because she didn't need them. Is it alright if I use your theory in a book I'm writing on Wattpad? I'll make sure to give you credit.
Fungalcrayon 04 sure 😊
Jessica Lewis that's interesting, but we've seen Aquamarine, Jasper, Topaz, and Lapis all summon weapons or use powers!
Regardless, I agree, the Era 2 gems like Peridot were probably made to believe they had no weapons/abilities or were not informed to prevent another rebellion.
im dead "A Diamond" nooo lol
Trying to draw her in my style is a bit of a challenge. Not a big fan of the design reminds me of a centipede.
it's not polygamy if it's consensual or not a group of people belonging to one person. flourite is polyamourous! it's is consensual and not creepy cult-y stuff!
So if we were to consider fusion a "marriage" of sorts then yes this would be polygamy because polygamy isn't dependent on consent, or lack thereof.
also forgot to add:
"a group of people belonging to one person." is NOT polygamy it's slavery technically and will never be considered polygamy because
1:the people being "owned" aren't married to each other (in a polygamous marriage, as far as i know, all people involved are married to each other)
2:the person doing the "owning" isn't married nor even in a real relationship with the people being "owned"
I think a marriage in which a woman has multiple husbands is called something else, but has the same meaning as polygamy, iirc.
Maybe that diamond shaped gem is an uncorrupted Geode? 🤔
Ok, I’m almost certain that Fluorite has a sapphire made up of her. Her first pair of arms have the elbow-length gloves, and both Sapphire and Padparadscha (the only known sapphires to date) have those types of gloves.
*cough cough* FAMILIAR
when she gets another gem she will become a butterfly
I'm not really sure if I'm missing anything here but when I first saw Fluorite come onscreen my first thought wasn't actually that she was a polygamous relationship but more of a non nuclear or stereotypical family, I thought that she was the embodiment of a family of gems, Rebecca Sugar did state at one point that family is one of the main themes of the show in general and I personally presumed Fluorite was another example of how different types of family's come together and how not all family's have to be traditional. Maybe that's just my personal take on her character, idk
6:51 , are we forgetting the Cluster?
Are we forgetting the cluster is no fusion?
Pippin * no it will be a weapon not a fusion that's why yellow wants it and she hates fusion
Not to mention that the Cluster is composed of force-fused shards of shattered gems, while Fluorite is a willing fusion of whole gems with stable consciousness. The gem shards are only fragments of the original consciousness of the Gem
"6, but maybe more if we meet the right gem" -Fluorite
0:18 Fluorite's gem on her forehead turns from a circle inside to a trinangle...
C O N T I N U I T Y
Short Shots at one point it also turns into a pentagon
so we have Pentagon Circle and Triangle. any more?
Yeah. I was gonna type that too.
idk...
Polyamory in Gem Form.
I think I know you. do u go to st aloysius
obsidian is now also a fusion of 6 gems (ruby, sapphire, garnet, amethyst, pearl, and steven/rose), and they don't talk at all, they just kind of roar. so I wonder if obsidian would talk really slowly too
Garnet isn’t an actual gem
@@p19pityscoop83 yeah she's two
Hypothetically speaking, what would the power of a fusion between sapphire and padparacha be? Would they be the incarnation of "Captain Obvious"?
I think I might've found something. In every fusion (made off different gems) we've seen so far the number of eyes is the same number as off all the gems that make such fusion combined. However in the ruby fusion they keep the 2 eyes, so let's talk about the 2 equal in fluorite's upper abdomen gem as 1.
So in fluorite's case 4 gems must have 1 eye and 1 gem must have 2 eyes. If this is correct then sapphire isn't the only gem with 1 eye. But what if there are some off colored gems in this fusion that have a smaller number off eyes then what they're supposed to have?
FilKill doesn’t that makes five gems? Four 1-eyed gems and one 2-eyed gem and that makes five gems but fluorite has 6 gems
The reason a Ruby doesn't gain any more eyes is because if a fusion is all the same gem, it only becomes a bigger gem, not really a fusion. It's not about the eyes its about if the gems are the same or not.
FilKill Nephrite also have one eye
hey so I don't usually comment on videos but just wanted to say I rly like your vids, keep up the great work!!
I have to say, I am loving your theories on Steven Universe. Its why I keep coming back for more.
honestly I'd really like to see Fluorite's gems get introduced when they are talking about something. Not internal conflict talking while being a fusion but as separate gems just calmly discussing something
I kind of hope they do some kind of mini series on stories of different fusions we've seen and fusions we haven't seen just to show us more and give us more little one of character stories
Early Goals! Great Video~ YASSSS Loving Flourite! What editing software do you use!?

I just thought of something. What would a rutile twin fusion look like?
thats a good question
a bigger rutile twin
Marilyn Judge
I think that they would not be capable to fuse between themselves.
They have two minds, but just one gem.
For fusing you need to have another gem with another gemstone.
So, if they would try to fuse would be like trying to fuse by yourself, without anyone else. And it would be unsuccesful.
Go watch Kitsune Zakuro's Fusion Friday videos to find out ^^
a bigger rutile. why? well because when we saw the rubies fuse in the hit the diamond episode, it was a regular ruby but much bigger. same with the episode stuck together. the topaz fusion were 2 topazes, but much bigger.
I think the gem on fluorite’s head way up at the top is a peridot the one below that a sapphire because if you look at her arms the look a lot our sapphire and padparadscha
Same here
Fluorite: *is famous for being a 6 gem fusion*
Obsidian: Allow me to introduce myself
Obsidian only has 5 gems tho
I love the off colored gems so much! 💜
What? Rutile is so cool and Paddy is such a sweety. The show creators *want* to promote diversity. Those suggestions would only take away from the message.
Savannah B what I mean is that I love all of them
Daniella Rodriguez Oh, I know you did. It was directed at the other person who commented.
Savannah B oh ok. . . for a second I thought you were talking to me
No one is talking about how old the off-colors actually are. Fluorite said they have been in the Kindergarten for eons. Eons are about 500 million - 1 billion years long. That means that Homeworld has been around that long or longer.
M17UN4 C4P70R she probably didn't mean it literally. Or do you mean it literally when you say "I've been waiting for forever" or something?
yes!!! literally u posted this right when i was looking for a video explaining it😂😂
Literally every diamond: it is completely illegal for two different gems to fuse.
Fluorite: *they didn't say about six or more gems*
Also if Flouride's belly gem was a Diamond then Flourite would be much larger
that gem is an emerald
I feel like fluorite is more of a family fusion
That's really cute. Let me a mom, another mom and 4 siblings. Cute
I really been waiting for this discussion
You never know, and remember those were era1 gems so that could be peridots
Hmmm, maybe
You fuse all crystal gems: you get an amazingly cool fusion
You fuse 6 gems: you get a bloody worm
I do remember Rebecca sugar saying she wanted more lgbt representation so she had asked the community and they said there was a need for more poly representation so fluorite is a result of that.
why does fluorite have that kind of form why isnt she like a tank similar to the crystal gem's fusions
Because different gems
It could be that her component gems aren't made for battle like the Crystal Gems' available component gems like Amethyst or Garnet. No offense to Pearl but fusions with her won't look like battle bosses unless she is fused with a warrior type gem.
werh227
Yeah Quartzs and Rubies are made for war but Pearl and Sapphire are not
It may have to do with the amount of gems.
They could just be a group of very old and very close friends.
now i'm just imagining Saphire's gem being bigger than Steven and her hand being like.. mostly gem?
Those are era 1 peridots..... I guess
Hey_Itz_JBEEE possibly
