Even if you only want the best for your pet, you’re likely to make some common mistakes and feed it some foods that are dangerous for its health and can even kill it. How to avoid food poisoning in your pet? Onion and garlic, for example, have a chemical in them that destroys an animal's red blood cells, causing anemia, which, in severe cases, can do serious damage to the internal organs. Bones are a great source of minerals and nutrients for your canine companion, but poultry bones, like chicken or turkey, as well as pork bones and any cooked bones are strictly forbidden. The same goes for coffee, chocolate, ice cream, and tomatoes.

SUMMARY
-Plants and vegetables in the onion family contain propyl disulfide. This chemical destroys an animal's red blood cells, causing anemia, which, in severe cases, can do serious damage to the internal organs.
-Lilies are extremely toxic to animals and can destroy their kidneys if consumed.
-Avocados contain a fungicidal toxin called persin. According to the Pet Poison Helpline, it has a mild level of toxicity, only targeting certain species.
-Caffeine can be anywhere from moderately to severely toxic to an animal. It can cause elevated heart rate and body temperature, excessive urination, dehydration, tremors, seizures, and possibly death. Chocolate has its fair share of awful consequences too, especially dark chocolate since it contains more theobromine.
-According to the American Kennel Club, poultry bones, like chicken or turkey, as well as pork bones and any cooked bones are strictly forbidden! These types splinter into shards that can not only choke a dog but also do serious damage to its mouth, throat, or intestines.
-It’s red apples in particular that are a no-no for your cat or dog because they can cause an allergic reaction. And it's not really the apple itself that's dangerous, it's the seeds.
-If your dog has gotten into your tomato garden and eaten what he shouldn’t, be on the lookout for signs of tomatine poisoning.
-The avidin found in egg whites disrupts the metabolism of vitamin B in the body. This blockage can lead to dry flaky skin, which can become infected if your pet scratches at it too much.
-To show you just how toxic these foods are for pets, consider this: just half an ounce of grapes can poison a 10-pound dog!
-Since most adult animals are lactose intolerant, ice cream doesn’t really agree with their system.

Cooked bones is what is bad for them. Raw bones are fine, but keep an eye on them when feeding.
Raw eggs are an excellent source of protein, only if the eggs are directly from a cage free farm.
I have been feeding my dogs, bones, ice cream (Vanilla), eggs and apples (without the seeds) for years and they are still living a great life!
Ḩᾱrvest I do also. I give raw bones for the calcium. The raw bones don’t splinter. I give my Pit a whole raw chicken & he loves it.

A quarter of a garlic clove (organic) per 10 lbs is actually recommended by most holistic vets. They strengthen the dogs’ immune system.

Raw Eggs is Good for Dogs when mixed in Dog Food. Ive done it for years ..The Protein and The Shinny Coat its given them! Take that off the list! 💯

Skip the food poisoning with the raw eggs and add some coconut oil. Or even Olive oil... just a little and you will get an even better result WITHOUT the risk of harming your fur baby!

but I never give them like onion, avocados,coffee tomatoes
Don't worry, depends on the dog. I give mine garlic and onions sometimes, Never caused anyproblems. It even help against worm condition. Chocolate and coffee, salty and sugar things are highly unrecommended though.

The eggs thing is bs the amount of eggs they’d need to eat for them to get sick is an absurd amount. Unless all you feed your dog is eggs all day everyday you have no issue.
The only time it’s a real problem is if your dog has an allergy or sensitivities

According to the ASPCA, also harmful to dogs are: citrus plants & fruit, coconut & coconut oil, macadamia nuts, almonds, pecans & walnuts, salt & salty snacks (excessive amounts), xylitol sweetener & yeast dough.
Total BS on coconut oil. It's fine.

I sometimes cure my dogs with garlic, they love ice cream too, chocolate cake…… but I'm so lucky that I've never took them to the vet , except for having a vaccine. They lived longer. The one left of my 7 miniature dachshund is 16 years old already, who almost died a few weeks ago and I treated her only a raw honey. Just sharing ✌️

Ok this list is a bit bnb out of context. I gave my dogs almond milk mixed with raw eggs, apples(minus cores) sweat potatos brocli and fish/chicken gizzards. This is what the breeder recommended. He also reccomend staying away from grain and grain filled dogdood which most are now. My dogs coats were shinny they popped consistantly and it wasnt hsrd or runny and it remained on a good schedule. So notnaure about some of these things.
One thing i refused to give my pup was peanut butter. As ot has an additive in it thatbis dangerous. If i made my own i would but things like Skippy, JIF and peter pan has an additive that starts with a X i cant remember at the moment but its extremely toxic.
Anywho my vet would commend me on Loki and Oden as they had great coats, theeth energy and Physics. And i explained my diet to her and what the breeder suggested. So not sure about everything on this list. Mainly the raw eggs and apples lol.
Oats is also healthy for dogs, cook it with lactose free milk.
Pixibelle dogs shouldn’t eat any type of grains.. they are carnivores, mainly.

Very good information, I've given my dog's little pieces of avocados not knowing and I've given her peeled sliced apples, of course without the seeds but still I thought that apples were good to clean a dog's teeth. I do know that chocolates bad and grapes and raisins and onions and garlic. Tomatoes is new to me not that I eat them a lot but my dog has had pieces of tomato in her life. I feel like a terrible pet owner cuz I didn't know about crepes with my pup was young and my boyfriend used to peel the grapes and give them to her whenever he was eating them. Nothing bad ever happened thank God but now that I think of it she did throw up about once a month when he was living here if I thought it was from stress because it was the end of our relationship. I wonder if apples are okay if I peel them and make sure that there's no seeds cuz she absolutely loves apples. My dog is a miniature dachshund and if he click on my picture you could see a video of her she's absolutely adorable💕
If something happens to your pet pray first and ask Jesus to heal them. My pet was going into serious anafalactic shock and so I prayed and spoke life over him and not death. He survived and was very well after this.

Good video. Thanks. I didn't know about the Lilies. U didn't list coolant (very sweet taste to dogs & very deadly) & I didn't see Xylitol from the bark of the Birchwood Tree. It is a sweet additive that can be in anything from sugarless gum, many foods including some brands of peanut butter, medicine & pills, to toothpaste. It it very deadly to dogs.

Nuts especially black walnuts are bad for your dogs. Peanut however are OK because they aren't nuts they are legumes (beans)
Peanuts can contain aflotoxins so I wouldn't feed them or peanut butter. Almonds and almond butter are perfectly fine.

We put a shake of garlic powder on Lucky dogs food for 14 yrs as a flea preventative. Didn't seem to do him any harm.
Me and 19yrs later, my animals still enjoy chocolate, crisps, ice-cream, cookies, etc.
PS. My cat even enjoys coffee :)

Apples are good, “the seeds specifically are not good” so the statement should be made in that way!!!
vanilla ice cream is actually a good thing for a dog post seizure. pumpkin ice cream can also be good on the stomach. But of course moderation.

My last dog loved grapes too and at the time I didn't know the danger they posed... The vet told me it is a yeast bacteria that is concentrated mainly on the skin and that I was very lucky that I took the time to peel and pit the occasional grape for my spoiled dog because it probably saved his life.. I know that I would be tempted to share a cold grape on a hot day with my current dog so I just refuse to buy them or have them in the house :)
