@@belivuk2526 What are you rambling on about, the guards don't purposely push people, they are not permitted for any reason to break ranks, and too often people think it's amusing to try to block the Guards path or wait until they are on top of them to take pictures, and by the way when possible they are always given a warning "make way for the queens guard" is what we would shout out at the top of our lungs, at which point if they don't move or they're somewhere they aren't supposed to be then that's on them, not the Guards.
I know they guard the Queen and royal palaces but their official title is the Brigade of Guards not The Queens Guard. These rules are really ridiculous! And some are actually bad for their health. The queen should really care more about her people than she currently dose. Thank you for sharing✌💛☺
Wanda Richardson The Queen is a Constitutional Monarch, she has very little say in what or how things are done. The soldiers are all volunteers and take a lot of kudos in being Guards. Each Regiment of Foot Guards, Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Welsh and Irish, take it in turn to do Ceremonial Duties at various sites around London. Along with The Household Cavalry, Life Guards and The Blues and Royals, who are the “Tin cans” sat on Horses. When not on Ceremonials, they are front line infantry soldiers or, in the case of the Cavalry, armoured. I believe the USA has ceremonial troops, sailors and marines? The tomb of the unknown soldier springs to mind. Honour guards. Silent drill squads. It could be argued, all those copied from the British 😉🇬🇧
They actually wore Red because back in the days of field marching it was alot harder to tell how many men were marching as the red would just blend in as 1 big rectangle which would make the army seems alot bigger than it actually was.
Okay I have something to admit here: I used to be scared of them. I think it’s because I thought the golden chain was a giant smile. But it might also be because I didn’t like the big hats.
There are five guards regiments in the british army. They are the Coldstream, Grenadier, Irish, Scots and Welsh Guards Regiments. They are all fully operational combat regiments involved in combat and NATO roles in conflicts throughout the world. Each of these 5 regiments has a dress uniform consisting of the red tunic and bearskin. When not deployed overseas the regiments take turns in acting as Queens Guard wearing dress uniform. You can tell the difference between the regiments next time you visit London by the insignia on the collar of the red tunic (for examplr, the Irish Guards display a shamrock, The Scots Guards a thistle) and the number and grouping of the tunic buttons, which are different on the tunics of each regiment. These are real soldiers. Don't be deceived by thinking they are some kind of ceremonial security guard. They are the cream of the British Army Regiments because, lets face it, you wouldn't have anything less protecting the Monarchy of your country.

If I was one of the guards I'd laugh all the time

They actually wore Red because back in the days of field marching it was alot harder to tell how many men were marching as the red would just blend in as 1 big rectangle which would make the army seems alot bigger than it actually was.
Bright side: *mentions Star Wars*
Me: *mission: go to every march if you get to be in the British country.*
Okay I have something to admit here:
I used to be scared of them. I think it’s because I thought the golden chain was a giant smile. But it might also be because I didn’t like the big hats.

@@sherbet3310 It's maybe your lucky day!
