The reason is because I’ve been down this road many times over the years and to ensure a lasting repair I replace the whole harness. I’ve had situations where you repair the broken wires and then more just keep breaking…. Remember the driver door is the most heavily used so the wiring in its door harness bends back and forth a lot over the life of the vehicle. Water stains and corrosion in the main connectors are also common reasons why you’d want to replace the whole thing. If the parts were not available cheaply then yes I’d have to repair it. Thanks.
The light goes off for other reasons too like sensor, loose wires..check plug first, module......mine keeps going on and off right now and I know diagnostic tools and Chevy diagnostic will not even read the problem..manual check
So why don’t you repair the broken wire after looking at the Wiring Schematic???

What year is your truck
I can’t remember on this one. I think it was a 2007 to 2013.
Thanks for commenting.
Is this a silverod Chevy 2013?
I think it was a Tahoe from that era… 2007 to 2014. I don’t exactly remember.
Thanks.
Np
So is there a easy fix
This one was broken wires in the door harness. It’s best to replace the whole harness if it’s available.
Thanks.
