This comment is an EMERGENCY. I just got to the part that you mention how you are not proud of your last two videos and are not going to be talking about your mental health anymore and why not?? I have LOVED your last two videos. I am going through the saaaame thing right now, just did blood test, GI test, and gene testing. As well as doing a 2 and half month long cleanse for general health and parasites and it was so beautiful to see that I am not alone. I was in my darkest place when you posted the video before last and it was so helpful and refreshing to see you. So I beg you to reconsider your feelings. I understand if that feels vulnerable for you and you just want it to be yours. I feel that way a lot through this healing journey, like it's just so Mine, ya know? Love you, I appreciate your sharing and didn't want to not be a voice that tells you that it's really nice and helpful when you share your real self. Otherwise it's playing a game, right?

Girls !!! Our gut issues often *mostly* stem from emotional distress. Read up on the metaphysical reasons for all your different physical symptoms and the psychosomatic connection.
For example, our brain and our gastrointestinal (GI) system are directly connected. The different parts of our whole body are connected intimately with each other, including our emotional body.
So your stomach or intestinal symptoms can be the cause AND the product of psychological/ emotional problems.
    Book recommendation:
Evette Rose - Your body is talking, are you listening ?
May you receive love, guidance and healing from the collective, the universe at large, which includes you and your universe inside you.

i was so surprised to not hear her mention the emotional and psychological connection to health!! our health is a direct reflection of our nervous system and our spiritual and karmic journeys. i think it’s a scary thing to face that health is bigger than just physical, and there’s a lot of stigma around the concept of “psychosomatic” issues, but it’s truly the key to breaking patterns of dysfunction in the body. coming from someone healing from many mysterious complex severe chronic illnesses that doctors couldn’t help me with and that used to have me unable to walk :) our bodies are so intelligent and every issue is a communication of a deeper theme

You're a multi-dimensional human and I have appreciated your authenticity for what is going on. So much of social media is overly romanticized and perfected before distributed to its audience. It was incredibly refreshing to see you be so open about life being cyclical and there being rough parts. So much of your channel is dedicated to the reveling of the human experience, and seeing you navigate the rough patches with grace is a meaningful thing in itself, potentially even more meaningful than sharing the amazing times. However, I understand wanting to make beautiful uplifting creative expression on here, but sometimes the most meaningful art is the art that evokes darkness. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and was vegetarian for 3 years before that. I eat a mix of vegan junk food and fresh whole plant based foods. I’ve never had nutritional deficiency (rarely take vitamins) and never had digestive or gut issues. I truly believe it’s all about balance. It seems it’s always the vegans obsessed with eating clean or super healthy that end up with issues.

    Hitomi,
I found your videos at a time in my life where I was learning to navigate through my emotions. Something my family never taught me, and I grew up without a mother, and had to teach myself about the female body and the first video I watched was about menstrual cycles. I was not educated on our moon, I did not know what boundaries were, I did not know what it felt like to love myself, and I did not know what a true friendship was. Of course with the help of therapy too. I have watched so many of your videos, over and over again. They are spiritual lessons to me, I truly believe you are a spiritual genius in a very unique way. With that, I completely support your decision to keep these matters private. This is your life and you have full control and are allowed to set those boundaries especially in such a world where privacy is hard to come by. But I do want you to know, and by looking at this loving community you have created, how many lives you have touched with your courage to speak about these things. You have broken so many social normalities, such as the one of hiding our sadness, and it is for the better. I am extremely proud of you and your accomplishments, look at all of the things you have done, you can even see how much you have grown with every video you post. I am just in awe and so proud of you in every possible way. Any video you make I treat as a ceremony to get grounded and reflect deeply because your energy is rooting, like the very trees which are your friends. So much love, support, and gratitude for you. Keep healing, and I hope that this new diet helps your GI issues and in turn your mental health. 🫶🏾

Obviously every body is different, however i went through every symptom you're currently having after 5 years vegan and 17years in total no meat. Tried so many different diets to fix it and got to the point where supplimenting didn't align with what i believe and slowly introduced meat into my diet. its been 4 and a half years now and haven't had a single gut issue/fatigue/low iron etc and one very healthy pregnancy without even touching prenatals. I know this wont suit everyone and i defimnitely understand the beliefs behind being vegan but just writing in case you get to the point you consider it - as i really beat myself up over it not working for me anymore and now I'm so happy I took care of my body and buy consciously.

@@minouaif u watch her most recent video she speaks on her having health issues due to her being deficient in a lot of vitamins because of her plant based diet. She’s incorporating animal products in her food which i know will cause her to be healthier. Animal foods ARE healthy. They contain more protein and the most essential vitamins our bodies need (,: nothing wrong with veggies, but it’s not a sustainable diet. We’ve been eating animal products for hundreds of thousands of years

I really loved your last 2 videos where you were open about your current struggles. there is something very healing and comforting about hearing about your mental health journey while(!) you are in it, as opposed to only hearing about the reflections afterward. it doesn't feel like you are bringing this negative energy to this digital space at all! It is the truth, your truth and your vulnerability will lead to a connection to so many others going through the same thing. there can be found beauty amongst one's struggles

I've had an onslaught of stomach issues in the past month too! Nausea almost every time I eat, and occasionally horrible stomach cramping/gastritis. I think it's largely due to stress :( Thank you for these recipes! I'm trying to eat more whole foods to see if that helps (I've never really made an attempt at that before so I'm excited!)

I’m currently struggling with my gut health as well!! I just now am getting over a whole week of the flu (or maybe weed withdrawal? Since I just quit) my appetite completely disappeared and I felt nauseous even thinking about food. Trying to force myself would just give me anxiety! Currently things are getting better and I’m able to eat, but it’s soooo hard to try teaching myself the foods I should be eating especially when I’ve never been a big cooker. Thank you Hitomi for this video❤️ it feels good to know I’m not the only one who’s been struggling with nausea lately.

I love witnessing you in your lows and highs. I love that you allow us to see you and to hear you in your abs and flows of life. You don't have to be good. Your life is beautiful art by itself.
I was feeling so low the past weeks, and as I work at an ecstatic dance center I felt bad for not dancing with the guests and just feeling like I only wanted to sit the whole time and not express low feeling self. Until I got the reminder that I could dance with the heaviness, dance with the feeling, as if it was my dancing partner, and that this could be the art that I could make from the place I was at. I started to dance and it felt so welcoming and so nourishing for my being. I know that in my work I don't only have to be happy, but sometimes it feels difficult to give space to my own process while holding space for the processes of others. To just allow truth to come through and allow my heaviness to fully be there with me I experienced such beautiful art pouring through me.

I struggled with IBS and going on a low-fodmap diet helped me identify the issue. My body didn't like ogliosaccharides (the O in FODMAP). Particularly the ogliosaccharides in alliums like garlic and onion. I am half Mexican and ate a LOT of garlic & onion in my life. I read some research about HMOs (human milk ogliosaccharide prebiotics). These are found in human breast milk and show promise for treating IBS. I figured it was worth a shot and bought some made by Layer Origin. Combining this with fermented foods helped so much! I'm now able to eat garlic on occasion.
When my gut issues were at their worst, I couldn't eat anything without cramping and bloating. Even an apple would set it off. Healing is possible!

FODMAP saved me! I have stuck to a more simple, whole-food diet now; no recipes above 5 ingredients & fermented veggies + fermented dairy. They are actually hearty & comforting when you learn to cook & bake FODMAP comfort dishes. Please feature pickled recipes/pickling whenever you can.

Hi Hitomi, have you looked into Ayurveda? It's the only thing that healed my gut issues. The special thing about it is that it looks at each individuals dosha and imbalance to determine which foods to keep and which to avoid, it's not a one size fits all type of diet. There also some food combinations to avoid and specific ways to prepare foods that are really helpful :) hope you feel better soon

You can manually close your IC valve (leaky gut cause) there are videos on TH-cam. I've suffered from this myself amongst other gut issues and it does really work. But ultimately our gut is where we store our emotions, so if this is a period of high stress for you then that is the thing you should focus on eliminating, not specific foods. Wishing you peace and healing.
