Yo another banger! When we did Eagle it was cool enough that we had no issues with the bugs. The fall colors of this place where incredible. Cannot wait for the Granite Peak video. Not sure when I'll be able to get up to that one myself but I still love watching people climb that beast!

Thank you! Dang I bet those fall colors were spectacular with all the deciduous trees everywhere. And I'm jealous that you didn't have issues with the bugs haha! The Granite Peak video will be posted soon so stay tuned!

I’m going to hike these four highpoints you’ve mentioned on this video at the end of August this year. I heard the mosquitoes or nats are bad. That’s why my plan to camp at Cascade Campground the night before and hike Eagle early in the morning like 6:00 AM when it’s cooler.

I hiked it in early October and there was no bugs. It was perfect in weather as well. I stayed in Grand Marais and drove up in the morning so I was the first one to start the hike. I guess I was too slow because I got passed by a group of older ladies. The parking lot was full by the time I was back down. I'd recommend driving the entire North Shore area of Minnesota. I spent four days there, there's so much to see and it's very beautiful.

I thought the area was gorgeous as well. I was sad that I only had 1 day to explore.

Hi. How far was Grand Marais from the trailhead?
      Thanks

@@brocktonma.1816 Google Maps says 30 minutes. I can't remember if that's how long it took me, but I would probably say 45 minutes tops depending how fast you want to drive on the dirt roads.

Thanks for these great videos about things in my area.
I plan to do some traveling out to Utah coming up. Nice to know you don't have mosquitos. It's funny to hear you mention them in all of the Midwest episodes. Subscribed.

Thanks! Haha yeah we actually do have mosquitos in Utah but they are nothing compared to what I experienced in the Midwest.

I took a long road trip from Denver, down to Driscoll mountain, LA, Mount magazine, AR, Taum Sauk mountain, MO, then up to Timms hill, WI, Hawkeye point, IA, and finally White Butte, ND. I was supposed to get MN & MI as well, but it was still too early in the season, and a little muddy/snowy. But, I am flying back out there to get those two in September.

I will be there first week of July and I have planned for bugs, but being from MN I knew to be ready.

Sounds like you will be much more prepared for them than I was!

Yes, but much taller than many other state high points!
