The Amazing Health Benefits of Goat's Milk

  • Many people resort to the use of goat’s milk only if they have an allergy or sensitivity to cow’s milk. Yet goat’s milk should be used by those even if there is no such sensitivity due to its amazing healing benefits.
    Here are a few facts about goat’s milk which are addressed in further detail in the video: Goat’s milk is the most like human breast milk. It is an A2 protein that is easier to digest than the more difficult A1 protein found in cow’s milk. Goat’s milk is easier to digest because the fat molecules are smaller than those found in cow’s milk. Also it contains less lactose, which is why people are less sensitive to it. And in general, the minerals found in goat’s milk are more bioavailable, which means that they are easier to digest and absorb into the blood stream. Cow’s milk contains a trace of selenium, whereas goat’s milk is very high in this nutrient. It also contains iodine.
    Both selenium and iodine are used by the thyroid gland to make its hormones. The caprylic, caproic and capric acids are great for helping to fight infections in the gut, such as Candida albicans yeast, and even has anti microbial activity against staph aureus, which causes pneumonia, UTI’s, sinusitis, infective endocarditis and osteomyeomyelitis. It even has antibacterial properties against E. Coli, cholera, salmonella kelbsiella pneumoniae and shigella dystntery. It even protects the lungs against TB, according to the latest research. Goat’s milk is better for losing weight than cow’s milk because of its high levels of medium chain fatty acids. These fatty acids are used to make energy and aren’t stored as fat, which is why it can also lower cholesterol. It has 8 grams of protein per cup; plant-based milks contain little to no protein at all. It also contains high levels of potassium, which is good for those suffering from high blood pressure as it is a potent vasodilator.
    There is even something in goat’s milk which enhances our joint health. Many people are not willing to try goat’s milk due to its gamey taste, however if you can find a good quality raw milk from a farmer or a food co-op you will find out that the milk tastes just as good if not better than cow’s milk. It all depends on what the goats are eating and how the milk is processed.
    Research teams went to Sardinia to see why Sardinians have 10 times the amount of people living to over 100 than in the United States. They found that the people living on the bottom of the mountains had fairly good longevity, but the people living on top of the mountains had even more longevity. Many cite the fact that goat’s milk is consumed on the mountain tops, whereas cow’s milk is consumed at the base of the mountains, and they attribute this to their extreme longevity. The video discusses several other health benefits of goat’s milk, including its effects on the skin suppleness and acne. It is worth your while to give it a try, even if you are not sensitive to cow’s milk.

    I have a small herd of French Alpines . The does give me plenty of wonderful milk that I drink raw and cook with . The goats are wonderful, intelligent , freindly animals . Their sweet and gentle nature provides me with a calm and gentle experience working with them , which I call " goat therapy". 🐐 😁

      @@dr.mteitelbaum I’ve been hearing so many wonderful things about goat’s milk in recent years and I’m just wondering if drinking goats milk is just as beneficial as consuming kefir made with goat’s milk? If I could just drink the goats milk that would be a big plus. Also, is the powdered version of goat’s milk just as good or does it lose a lot of beneficial nutrients during processing?

      Severe painful constipation intermittent with explosive bouts of extremely painful diarrhea, all of my life.
      I had surgery when I was 6 months old for a herniated belly button due to severe colic.
      Gastritis should respond to goat kefir since the inflammation is caused by an overgrowth of deleterious microbes in the stomach & throughout the digestive tract.
      I took antacids & acid blockers for 40 years & it only worsened other digestive issues in the end.
      I've been off all otc meds & prescription meds for over 10 years since starting keto/carnivore diet.
      Initially having sensitivities, then intolerance & now an allergy to cow milk I finally found goat dairy, specifically goat kefir & butter!
      Goat kefir contains beneficial microbes that will literally displace & replace the deleterious microbes.
      I say microbes because the list of bacteria, fungus & yeasts are way too numerous to list here.
      With the goat kefir & goat butter in moderation I am having immense relief.
      I eat no plants now, only 1 lb fatty ground beef with some small amounts of condiments & I lightly salt the goat butter & ground beef.
      OMAD works best for me.
      Well-wishes.

    Milk flavor has a lot to do with the breed of the goat. We keep Nubians because they are known for the highest butter fat content and the mildest flavor in milk. Other breeds that produce gamier tasting milk also produce larger quantities, so the larger scale commercial producers that sell to supermarkets are likely to be using one of these high production breeds. Your local small producer might be more focused on quality than quantity, and they likely use their own milk for their family’s milk needs, so shopping local can be a great place to start your search for tasty goat’s milk. We also love our Nubians because they are perfect for our climate. :)

      I use a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the diffuser with water over night.
      It helps a lot with congestion.
      Hope will work for you!

    I make yogurt out of it. I don't heat it past 115 degrees to keep the nutrients intact. I find that way it doesn't become gamey tasting. I can only drink fresh goat milk as in less than a week old, it then becomes too strong.

    Are there certain prescriptions for drinking goats’ milk? Empty stomach, boiled, etc? Or can it be consumed more freely than cow milk?

    • @dr.mteitelbaum
      @dr.mteitelbaum  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should always boil it (this is true for cow's milk as well), and drink it on an empty stomach. Or you could cook it into a grain, but milk doesn't mix well with any other foods except for nuts and dried fruits.

    Thank you for the video. What are your thoughts on drinking raw milk, if the utter is cleaned well? How does boiling effect all of these nutrients and vitamins?

    • @dr.mteitelbaum
      @dr.mteitelbaum  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Raw milk is the absolute best. But always boil it to kill any infection that may be lurking in the milk and to also make it more digestible. It doesn't kill all the nutrients in the milk, but instead ensures that they will be absorbed into the cells. Cold milk doesn't digest well -- it clogs the channels making a semi-digested residue known as ama, which remains in the gut, clogging that channel and then all subsequent channels, such as the sinuses, ear canals and lungs, which is why people complain of congestion after drinking cold milk.

      @@dr.mteitelbaum Well if you boil it, then it's no longer raw, is it! So you may as well buy pasturised milk.
