With form, disasi is a good CB. Problem is that we continuously set him up for failure by either putting him, our slowest player with no logical reason to play as a RB, as RB or pairing him with mistake prone Badiashile as a CB. We put the guy on a downward spiral and are now dogging him at the bottom.
Note to Maresca. When you feel like doing something unusual, just don't. You may look like Pep but you don't need to copy Pep's bad points, whereby he complicates games, when simple would have been better.

This was a Maresca fuck up, period. As have been the last two. He’s talked down our chances and the players now believe him. He talked up Delap which pumped him up and scared our defenders. Nkunku, Felix, Desasi and even Mdweke are all bloody lightweight.
Disasi does not make those error when played as a CB. we all saw colwill at LB and he was the same, as long as they play disasi as a RB it wont do the team good and it's destroying his career
Honestly I think that Mareca said it too many times that we are not good enough to be at the top, and when you say something enough times, it can become reality. I know he wants to take of the pressure of the players, but it can backfire and they can take it too easy and think that they are not good enough. Also Palmer looks so uncomfortable in the CAM position. But just my opinion. I think it would be so much better playing him sometimes at RW and Felix/Nkunku CAM...

This loss was needed. 1. Disasi needs to be sold. 2. Jorgensen shows why he’s not the #1 despite the inconsistency by Sanchez. 3. Nkunku is a CAM not striker. 4. Buildup play was too slow and SLOPPY. 6. Enzo plays on the left of caisedo, not right and vice versa. 7. Sancho/neto on the left while madueke on the right. 8. Jackson needs to snap out of holiday mode. 9. Mareska needs to stick to the winning formula. This is the PREM. Any team can beat ANY team. Hopefully we learn from this. 2 losses back to back against “winnable” matches was needed for these impressionable players should set them straight. #Respectfully #Shameful

Giorgio Scalvin of Atlanta 3. Jarred branthwaite of Everton 4. Piero Hincapie of Bayerleverkusen 5. Antonio Silva of Benefica I think can give us a better cover up compared to the quality we have now.
There have been multiple reports that we are going to target Tomas Araujo of Benfica for RCB and that we have had a long standing interest in Murillo of Nottingham Forest at LCB. Both would be great signings for us.
Concerning 3 games, some cracks starting to show again. Taking it game by game like during our good form. Fact remains that the ownership has alot to prove before getting any approval from the Chelsea faithful.

We were so slow today! For the last 3 games our buildup play has been terrible. Did not look like winning this game at any point! Really disappointed with this result.
Maresca's whole tactic is to wait for teams press us, so we can attack the spaces left behind. But when the other team is okay not pressing bcos they want a draw or are leading; the team lacks ideas, hence the slow back and forth passing.

If we take the last five years, any thing between 66-71 points in 38 matches is enough to secure top four. We sit on 35 points and 4th place after 19 games. Last year, on 31st Dec we were on 25 points and in 10th place. What’s not to love? This is a young team led by an inexperienced manager. Will they make mistakes ? Of course. Will there be missteps? Most certainly. But when it all clicks and they win with style, does it warm the cockles of my heart? Fuck-yeah-it does. I had hoped for 35 points by mid season to be on course for a Champions league spot. They have delivered. I’m delighted. Also we are done with December… our bogey month historically. Thank heavens ! We're definitely going backwards. Everton was a hard fought draw against a Sean Dyche low block - not unexpected. Fulham was lack of maturity to see the out a game against a good side.Today was a poor starting lineup and a strategic disaster against well organised relegation fodder. I think the injuries are starting to hurt us, especially Lavia and Fofana. We better beat Palace at the weekend.
Yan is crazy the whole back 4 hasn’t been bad , Tosin handled Delap very well . Maybe he done atleast two bad passes trying to break the lines but he wasn’t bad , he also wasnt amazing ofcors . Enzo had no creative influence which is his job so that was disappointing. Felix wasn’t good he lost the ball a lot and would just sit on the ground and not try get the ball back , I have no idea what Yans criteria of good performance is . Felix added nothing to our attack expect for that one passage of play . Felix is tall but can’t even jump at the right time and head a ball towards goal , it’s like the ball always just hits his head . Cole Palmer look ineffective , his decision making is starting to worsen by each game . He did have two opportunities where he hit the crossbar but we need a better performance from him , there are passes he doesn’t make which other world class players make and that for me was disappointing. Maduekes confidence has gone down , he should ride the bench now , he tries to shoot in impossible situations which is frustrating . Nkunku doesn’t fit in this system , if you not playing him as a 10 don’t put him on , get him gone this January window if there’s money coming in for him . Disasi we all know is crap . Cucu did make some good defensive moves but added nothing to attack kept passing back instead of trying to put in a cross . None of our attacking players were good let’s be honest and stop having such low expectations , none of the boys done enough to be seen as good . Palmer only had two moments , otherwise he lost the ball a couple of times also by just shooting it at a player standing right infront of him instead of looking for another option . The Chelsea’s attackers performance was way too flat to call any players performance good let’s be realistic here and not just fans , our players would be static and not make any runs when Enzo has the ball or Caicedo , they would just stand within the Ipswich defense asking for the ball where there’s barely space and not making any runs and Enzo and Caicedo kept receiving the ball in space and passing back without actually looking forward to see the amount of space they have to turn into . It was a poor performance . Attack is all about creativity and relentless attacking trying to create chances which our attack didn’t do so I don’t understand how you can just point out the back line when attack kept losing the ball and the defense bailed us out a couple times cause we should’ve gotten slapped up atleast 4:0 .

Bad loss. I thought we rotated too much which hampered the system, Nkunku-Felix-Palmer trio just didn't work together. With Felix playing as 10, Cucurella was acting as our left winger, which limited our creativity from there, Nkunku we already know is not a striker. Nkunku moved into Felix role after the latter was taken off, and that didn't work as well, so we had to bring on Sancho to get back to the normal system. What a total waste of rotation. We still need to put things into context. First goal was never a pen, the final xG was Ipswich (1.55) 2-0 (2.22) Chelsea, with around 0.7-0.8 being for the penalty. So the numbers weren't the worst. Even with the loss we're still 4th so it still could be worse. But we do urgently need to stop this rot. We cannot let this drag on.

I think can give us a better cover up compared to the quality we have now.
There have been multiple reports that we are going to target Tomas Araujo of Benfica for RCB and that we have had a long standing interest in Murillo of Nottingham Forest at LCB. Both would be great signings for us.
Concerning 3 games, some cracks starting to show again. Taking it game by game like during our good form. Fact remains that the ownership has alot to prove before getting any approval from the Chelsea faithful.

1.) Disasi starting
2.) Felix subbing off
3.) Playing Cucurella as an inverted winger (He doesn’t take on players, just passes back).

We were so slow today! For the last 3 games our buildup play has been terrible. Did not look like winning this game at any point! Really disappointed with this result.
Maresca's whole tactic is to wait for teams press us, so we can attack the spaces left behind. But when the other team is okay not pressing bcos they want a draw or are leading; the team lacks ideas, hence the slow back and forth passing.
@ very true. I think a really good player who can open teams up who are sitting back is Sancho but then again we are placing all our eggs in one basket…. (Like with Palmer last year). Why do we lie about them being worth the win? They absolutely weren't worth the win. We just weren't worth it either. We need to be honest and discuss the fact that felix and nkunku can never play if palmer is playing. Despite all those weirdos that keep begging for them to play, they just dont fit. Please don't get me started on the defence. Tosin offers nothing in my opinion. If someone runs at him all he does is back off and allow them to get a shooting angle. Everyone talking about how bad disasi is, but Tosin is terrible.
If we take the last five years, any thing between 66-71 points in 38 matches is enough to secure top four. We sit on 35 points and 4th place after 19 games. Last year, on 31st Dec we were on 25 points and in 10th place. What’s not to love?
This is a young team led by an inexperienced manager. Will they make mistakes ? Of course. Will there be missteps? Most certainly. But when it all clicks and they win with style, does it warm the cockles of my heart? Fuck-yeah-it does. I had hoped for 35 points by mid season to be on course for a Champions league spot. They have delivered. I’m delighted. Also we are done with December… our bogey month historically. Thank heavens !

I’m starting to be concerned that Maresca may be getting a little bit too full of himself in regards to picking a starting lineup. Is he beginning to believe all the hype around his success? He may not be as smart as he thinks he is at this point. This was a shite show at best. I also have a problem with Palmers sloppiness and huge number of turnovers. I am tired of repeating myself in regards to Disasi and Badaishille. They both need to be sold.

Every game… every time he plays… he had one good game against City but aside from that he’s been so bad.
We're definitely going backwards. Everton was a hard fought draw against a Sean Dyche low block - not unexpected. Fulham was lack of maturity to see the out a game against a good side.Today was a poor starting lineup and a strategic disaster against well organised relegation fodder. I think the injuries are starting to hurt us, especially Lavia and Fofana. We better beat Palace at the weekend.
Yan is crazy the whole back 4 hasn’t been bad , Tosin handled Delap very well . Maybe he done atleast two bad passes trying to break the lines but he wasn’t bad , he also wasnt amazing ofcors . Enzo had no creative influence which is his job so that was disappointing. Felix wasn’t good he lost the ball a lot and would just sit on the ground and not try get the ball back , I have no idea what Yans criteria of good performance is . Felix added nothing to our attack expect for that one passage of play . Felix is tall but can’t even jump at the right time and head a ball towards goal , it’s like the ball always just hits his head . Cole Palmer look ineffective , his decision making is starting to worsen by each game . He did have two opportunities where he hit the crossbar but we need a better performance from him , there are passes he doesn’t make which other world class players make and that for me was disappointing. Maduekes confidence has gone down , he should ride the bench now , he tries to shoot in impossible situations which is frustrating . Nkunku doesn’t fit in this system , if you not playing him as a 10 don’t put him on , get him gone this January window if there’s money coming in for him . Disasi we all know is crap . Cucu did make some good defensive moves but added nothing to attack kept passing back instead of trying to put in a cross . None of our attacking players were good let’s be honest and stop having such low expectations , none of the boys done enough to be seen as good . Palmer only had two moments , otherwise he lost the ball a couple of times also by just shooting it at a player standing right infront of him instead of looking for another option . The Chelsea’s attackers performance was way too flat to call any players performance good let’s be realistic here and not just fans , our players would be static and not make any runs when Enzo has the ball or Caicedo , they would just stand within the Ipswich defense asking for the ball where there’s barely space and not making any runs and Enzo and Caicedo kept receiving the ball in space and passing back without actually looking forward to see the amount of space they have to turn into . It was a poor performance . Attack is all about creativity and relentless attacking trying to create chances which our attack didn’t do so I don’t understand how you can just point out the back line when attack kept losing the ball and the defense bailed us out a couple times cause we should’ve gotten slapped up atleast 4:0 .

Bad loss. I thought we rotated too much which hampered the system, Nkunku-Felix-Palmer trio just didn't work together. With Felix playing as 10, Cucurella was acting as our left winger, which limited our creativity from there, Nkunku we already know is not a striker. Nkunku moved into Felix role after the latter was taken off, and that didn't work as well, so we had to bring on Sancho to get back to the normal system. What a total waste of rotation.
We still need to put things into context. First goal was never a pen, the final xG was Ipswich (1.55) 2-0 (2.22) Chelsea, with around 0.7-0.8 being for the penalty. So the numbers weren't the worst. Even with the loss we're still 4th so it still could be worse. But we do urgently need to stop this rot. We cannot let this drag on.

Sooo, cole palmer can play like absolute dog shit, poor passes, horrendous crosses and corners. Can't dribble through traffic. Not fast. But joao felix, the only guy who looked like scoring, who tried to do anything in the final third, he gets subbed off before the hour mark. Riiiigghht. Our set peices are truly amateur. Noni clearly wears concrete boots. And yes, disasi was terrible as usual. We've scored one goal in the last three games. One goal. Three games. Nobody will criticize palmer, but he looks like he could care less. I blame the attack more than the defense in this stretch of games. If you don't score, you can't win.

There was a moment after half time when the players were coming back on to the pitch, we were 1-0 down, and Palmer was laughing and joking around with Kalvin Phillips. You then see Nkunku approach Palmer and have a word with him with an expression on his face as if to say WTF are you playing at. If im reading that right then props to Nkunku, you've just come out after a half time team talk a goal down and throwing an easy win, its time to lock in and step things up, you can pal around after the game not now.

One point from 3 games, a bit of a disaster. However, it could be foreseen, with Everton, at present they just park the bus in just about all their games. Fulham, well this is probably the best Fulham side I have ever seen, with results to prove, if too many draws. Ipswich have amazing team spirit, but to lose to them does show we are nowhere near ready yet.
