LOL the accuracy of Momota's challenges is crazy good 😂
Momota still doesn't seem as good as he used to be before, especially body smashes from his forehand side and net games. However, I am glad to find one of his strengths intact: He rarely loses challenge.
For those of who say momota isn't back to his prime time: who plays at their best and spend all their energy when playing at R16/R32? You can't compare R16/R32 to his finals with Ginting, Axelson, SYQ, etc.If you've been following momota and watched his R32/R16/Quarter Finals, and sometimes even finals at smaller super series, you will know Momota is very conservative and spending most of time just move his opponent around.
Not just skills/stamina, but saving energy counts as well, and that's why he won 11 titles in 2019. Saving energy at non-crucial matches is very important. Let's judge momota's recovery progress after he faces good old Axelson soon.
very true, i remember olympic 2016 both LCW and LD got exhausted after the match, and both lost in the next match
From a momota fan since day 1, followed him before he got banned, his movements are not as fluid as before. Or course he’s spending less energy playing in this round, but his footwork is still not at his 100%. Although I think it’ll take a bit of time for him after his accident/covid/being away from major tournaments fora long time, I find that he hesitates more in his movement, and they’re not as precise and smooth. Players do spend less energy in these rounds, but I’m not talking about his energy here.

Agree. From 11-11 in the second set he played those next 6 points at a much faster pace just to break his opponents momentum and confidence. Otherwise he was just conserving energy.

Momota seems still a little bit confused in the first set, but much better in the second. Forehand smash not as good as usual, but nice work anyway.

Very nice variety from Prannoy H. S. but it was not enough. Momota did not look sharp in the beginning but regain his form at the later stages of the second game.

@@TimmyVision This is not only about the NHS but also about the existing system for the All england 2021 match.
1.The Danish team,india, thailand are declared covid but immediately do a quick test. The match is also postponed in order to wait for them.while indonesia has been vaccinated twice declared negative a day before competing at the utility arena but they are directly at the W. O (walk out) without a quick test like the other teams it's very confusing.
2.British judge and umpire service. Those who play English are not allowed to play in matches according to the BWF decision. It's very surprising because in the matches that are held this is true.
3.Since departing and being in Birmingham, indonesian players have had a lot of contact with other country players. The utility arena has been used by many player during training ahead of the match it should a mass test but BWF did not do that very dissapointed
