Axelsen was overconfident, but surprisingly Watanabe played stunningly well and soon he got nervous. Axelsen was lucky did not lose the game. K. Watanabe very well played :)

maybe around 2019? i think they are one of the great but not that dominant... there are various competitive relations between countries for each category.

Watanabe plays like Momota. I mean the movements and swing motions are almost the same. Well a big disadvantage for Koki W since he is only 166cm, surprisingly humble for a single player still got the best out of Axelsen

Fantastic play from a newbie . Impressive game and keeps Viktor on his toes. He is fast, smart and his deceptive shots are a refreshing change. I wish he had challenge on 1.08.51. It was in and linesman called out. He would have won the 3rd game. Tat was so close. Well done, watanabe. I will be looking forward to more games from you.
The shot was so close to the IN line, but I think it was an OUT. I wish he could challenge and win this match too, maybe the shot landed IN, who knows... (Maybe he saw OUT)

The two must train together a lot.
Koki has an offensive, fast-paced, short rally playstyle that uses speed to pressure, while Kento has a defensive, slow-paced, long rally playstyle that uses precision to pressure. I don't see any similarity between them.
