Stephane Bruneaux That’s awesome. I’ve had five different bikes the last six years! The VFR is a very refined bike for a 22 year old ride, that’s for sure. Super reliable do-it-all machine! In my younger days I would have happily toured on it.
Hey thanks, Jon, I appreciate the complement. I miss the old VFR too. It was a pretty versatile machine. Like yourself, I ride a more upright bike now but I wish I had been able to keep it. Something about V 4 motors has kept me coming back to them. My first one was a 1986 VF700 Interceptor. I'm on my third now with my V65 Magna that I've been restoring and it is coming along nicely. What are you riding these days?
I'm riding a 2014 KTM 690 Duke. It has some good stuff on it. It's such a fun bike to ride, I only wish I would have had it when I was a little younger. I always liked the v-4's as well. This bike, as you know is a single, man what a ride, for a single. Thanks for getting back to me. I live in Allentown PA, if your ever passing through, let me know, and we'll ride.
Diego, nice classic vfr, this style has aged well. What bar risers did you use? You look pretty straight up and comfortable in pics with you on bike. Happy riding.
Hunter Cofer thanks for the message. Actually the risers were there when I bought the bike. The previous owner had put several aftermarket items on it including the risers, Corbin seat, saddlebags, etc. That was one of the reasons I bought the bike, it came with all the goodies I would have put on it anyway. I'm not sure what brand they were (I've since sold the bike) but it was indeed one of the most comfortable sport bikes I've ridden. I bought an '85 Honda V65 Magna recently to replace it - I want to be able to stretch my legs - so this is my first cruiser. It's fun but a totally different ride, a more raw experience, definitely not the refined ride of the VFR800. Anyway, all the best and keep riding!
Bought my '98 new and I still have it. It's been cross country (and back) twice and it'll go again if the pandemic ever lifts

I had that year, what a fine bike. I now ride a more upright bike, but I do miss the VFR. Nice job.
