So let me get this straight, Terran already has a unit that made stalkers a non-viable option in PvT, and now your giving them another unit that gives bonus mech damage that rips through Stalkers like tissue paper. Well at least Toss has a slow moving, slow shooting tier 3 unit that can be taken out by 2 new tier 1.5 Factory units. Oh, and they can be double produced to to boot! That's what I call balance!

i think marine thor would be a good composition for terran cause in the beginning every protoss wants to get those new stargate units.
as people still make comments for this video I want to say that there are many changes happen to HOS including very good death Animations ,improved graphics more balanced races and there is some changes in the new and old units, new warhound unit removed

Shootings are generally caused by the situation in school or familiy (Social Perspective). A person who decided to do a school shooting, is only beeing supported by the possibillity of doing that, but not animated.

Dude, as a Protoss player, the units they got are all meant to give extra options of how to attack. The mothership core is actually the best example: early game recall, energize for sentries and templar, base defense...Think of the new units more as getting more options instead of new units. We need this. We have units to deal with everything other races got. I personally think hts are gonna be used more, with hydras and energize. (Plus theres still another expansion for another year.)

this is just proving how hard its going to be for toss to break a terran using the warhound/battle hellion comp. i really think the tempest should do some sort of aoe damage to ground. but problem is gateway units are just not going to cut it against this comp and seige tanks and warhounds will rip through colossus as well.

Fair enough, I see your point. Honestly though, in my original post I was just sarcastically mimicking a comment a few posts below mine. I don't really think that Protoss is OP, sorry if i did cause offence. It is hard to gauge balance from this video, and it is also still in alpha. All i know for sure is, as a Terran, it will be very nice to have a mech option in TvP. Although Bio is powerful in the early mid-game, it is no fun to use in late game situations, and i like to play macro games.
every timing could change would the mother ship core. Any addition to a race can change the entire time for everything. This is not even out yet
Additionally to the other comments, in my opinion protoss is already a "dick race": DTs, FF, Storms, Blink, Mothership, Void Rays, Phoenix Lift, Warpgate + forward Pylon/Warp Prism.
I am not saying any of this is overpowered, it is just really annoying to deal with, so I believe these new units actually fit the style of protoss really well (and add some easier harassment options)
is this video outdated by balance updates? this looked really fun, especially that protoss command center aswell as tempest.
The battle at 14 -- the protoss should have mothership core recalled onto the tanks -- just like for defending drops

and change their view to ONLY "player coverage" when they start playing
You're right. After playing Starcraft 2, I went and created an army of biologically advanced creatures so I could command them with my psionic powers and take over the world.
Also forgot to mention that Chicago has a higher median household income and LESS violence is committed when temperatures drop in the winter time. Dont get me wrong tho i think that Chicago as a city DESTROYS Houston,but thats not the point of this rant i posted lol

Haha I just get defensive about protoss I guess, so many fear the death ball and feel its imbalanced but ppl forget that protoss is supposed to have end game strength because their food costs are so high, and I feel that terrans have a lot of unexplored flexibility yet and then to get so many new units added it just seems kind of insane to me.
Oh and I'm agreeing with you on that but what you're not seeing is how strong that terran is regardless of the scripting compared to the insanity of how useless protoss's new units are. Sure the tempest range is awesome but to effectivly use one it takes observers and lets be honest with ourselves, in a meta where games don't usually last past 15 minutes are you going to kick out a Stargate, Fleetbeacon, and a Robo (for the observer) with 4+gateways in time to fight a full terran mech assault?
honestly standard protoss parting style which is used now should be the counter to the new terran style
Honestly when going mech, having low gas is more important then minerals.

We wouldn't want them getting creative now, would we? You can make mustard gas with easy to obtain ingredients from any pool supply or hardware store.
Interesting how that works out right? Also note that every mass shooting and city with high gun crime are all in places where guns have been banned. An interesting comparison can be found between Chicago and Houston. Houston: 1500 gun stores, Chicago: 0. Houston: CCW, Chicago: no carry allowed of any kind. Chicago and Houston both have similar populations (2.7mil and 2.3 mil), similar demographics. Chicago averages 500 gun deaths a year, Houston 200. Chicago is also colder year round...
every race is op, that's what makes it balanced
Actually you can control to who it's going to attach that, just put it off auto-cast.
lol dude the beta is practically out now.. the game will come out as soon as the beta has been out for about 2-3 months thus allowing comments of balancing and changes

Its been out on Day9s channel for like 2 weeks
These players must be gold, I can't see them getting much higher with there play, the guy had a fully saturated 3rd base and two zealots made him pull EVERY SINGLE SCV, sure the guy only lost like 2 scvs but he probably lost so many minerals just in mining time waiting for units to arrive to kill the zealots.
Also the protoss running right up the ramp while his 4th was being attacked, ramp rape ensued and it really shouldn't have, he shouldn't have evfen engaged there.

Actually don't know if I'm so positive to this update, but it's alpha so I guess it's gonna get better.
just to come clear about this. Sentury and zalots get toasted by helions. The stalkers would get killed by the warhounds. This air gets outranged or should i say outdamaged by the vikings (if the terran would push)

That's the problem, they had an ability vs mechanical. And that melted away protoss units.

no, you only buy the game once. although you will have to buy the heart of the swarm expansion since it is like its own separate game.
it is for zone ctrl and oneshot tier 1 units
The tempest seems very underwhelming. Only thing I like is the teleport and also war hounds very solid and versatile.

Terran is 1-1; lost against Zerg, won against Protoss. Protoss is 1-1: lost against Terran, beat Zerg

did they really remove the warhound completly from the game or are they trying to balance it out I heard they removed the replicant (protoss unit) but had plans to bring it back in the next add on (at least in the campaign if it doesn't work out for multiplayer)
No they're only really effective against early game units and it still takes 10 seconds to go off, the tempest is OP

I think they do have splash damage currently in the beta, although it's not a lot.
May be mistaken though.
I don't think it would be that bad. Its just early anti heavy armor to mid/late game anti heavy armor. One has more defense and health but the other can be massed and put in bunkers.
between tempest and mass recall, toss is broken as fuck right now. Good thing it's alpha.

at 75 mins 25 gas its almost impossible for it to not be cost efficient.... and even if u send a ling ahead that is still enough time to stall for time...
forgive Day9 he gets a little excited
its good game go and buy it,cheap now, if you like competative games and trying to improve all the time its the game for you

well... Bonus damage on heavy units is not the best to do that but i agree it's a snipping unit.
Warhounds and widow mines r beast. Widow mines so cheap for big damage and warhounds only costing as much as zealots
Tempest should have splash since it's a ball of energy
