I’m a soccer player, I think it becomes a instinct that they flop because a player has done it since they are kids. Or a kid sees it from a soccer player and does what the player does.
I have a ton of respect for the toughness and dedication these guys have for the game, It's like they are more upset that they will miss a shift than they are about getting hurt. There are a lot of other sports that need to follow the path that hockey players walk.
As a habs fan, I really like how backes looked out for the guy and signalled the training staff over. We need more of this respect in hockey. My respect goes to the Bruins here
I am a bruins fan And i wouldn't mind if he didn't Backes got Headed too the guy was a baby and if they take out the violence i will lose my intrest without it it will be soccer on ice
ER nurse here! I hope this helps with family members/teammates of the victim. A lot of blood to the average person is typically not much blood. Every human being has 8-12 pints of blood in their body for a reason. If you get hurt and start bleeding quickly, do not panic until a medic tells you your injury is worth being concerned about. In my experience, the not-visible-to-the-naked-eye injuries are the ones who have more trauma and typically more painful as well. Stay safe guys!

yea, the one where the guy got cut, it took some time for blood to actually hit the ice. until his glove came off, i thought he was just stung. the colorado crosscheck i can see a little more, but it depends too on how much do the officials let the game go vs make a call. if they have been letting the game go, it probably shouldnt be a call. and i can damn near guarantee someone had taken a number to fight him afterwards. even if the refs dont make the call, the players tend to go after someone who has injured a teammate

What about Matt Calvert’s injury at the end of the Avs and Canucks game? Glad we won it in overtime, or else I would’ve been livid. The fact that the refs didn’t do anything about it until after the Canucks scored is still mind boggling to me.

I think I heard that the NHL rulebook states that the team with the most points at a time when the season is out on hold, (on this case, the Boston Bruins with 100 points) should be awarded the Stanley Cup when the season resumes.
I play hockey in a junior team in sweden and i can tell u it hurts to watch hockey injuries but to get them dawn it hurts last year when i thought my career was over one of the other teams player came after me and hit me on the neck and i flew into the counter right to the ice hiting my face and broke a leg and the nose
