Hooked it up and went into forward programing only thing listed was Gyro, no other settings, as you had. ?? Click on Gyro and come up with SAFE SELECT which I can assign switch and turn safe and as3x on and off. Why no options listed??? any idea?? Thanks great video. Subscribed and liked........
If I installed a 637TA into a different plane without altering anything, what would I expect to happen? How will the receiver know it has been moved? Obviously I will have checked trims are neutral and surfaces are central and moving correctly. Wont the AS3X and safe work as it did in the original BNF
If you did that you would have to mount it EXACTLY like it was mounted in the previous plane . The receiver know up down right left and if it is level. Both planes would have to be the same . Type . If you took it out of a tail dragger and put in a tricycle its wouldn't fly level. .it may work out ok or it may not. Each 637 is programmed for a specific plane
Hi, I recently bought an E-Flight P51 with an AR637TA receiver and want to use the Spektrum NX8 transmitter. When I go to connect the Forward Programming it keeps failing. Would you have any idea as to what I should do? I thought it may have been factory locked but after watching your vid I'm not so sure.
There are many things you can use. I hot glued the receiver to one of the fake credit cards that are mailed to you. Then I just either screwed or 2 sided tape the card to the planes
Once you upgrade the firmware then you can factory reset it . And it will be unlocked. If you don't want to lose the settings it has in it already save the to back up and then you have a whole another plane you can set up

your throttle cut needs to be active before it will enter into forward programming . make sure the nx8 is updated and try that
Sean, can the 637TA be set up with a 3 position switch for: AS3X, SAFE, and NEITHER (nothing at all) ?
I can't get it to work with my dx6e.
If you swap the receiver back and forth, what do you attach the receiver to the plane with so it is easy to take out?? Do you use Velcro ?

So just to help clear up one confusion step for me, does just upgrading the firmware unlock the AR637TA or doing a Factory Reset ?
Once you upgrade the firmware then you can factory reset it . And it will be unlocked. If you don't want to lose the settings it has in it already save the to back up and then you have a whole another plane you can set up
