I do think Mojang really should do an End update, but I don't think they should do it now. With all the controversy recently, if they don't nail the long awaited End update then it'd probably be the final blow for a large chunk of the community
Depending on how it's executed, it's a high risk/high reward scenario. If the update is polished and really well made, I think it can definitely make the community happy. But if the update has issues, it can be devastating, as it is one of the most requested update themes. So if it doesn't live up to expectations, lots of people will be disappointed in Mojang and further anger the community.
@@jamesw3413 Better End is just eye candy. There's really not a lot of unique mobs or mechanics; it's simply a bunch of pretty biomes and blocks. I don't get the hype behind it.
I’d love to see more end exclusive items and rewards and stuff. Elytra trims also seem like a pretty cool idea as well as enchantments, and maybe a way to equip elytra and armor at the same time as well would be nice.
Ever since I played terraria I’ve wanted them to have a slot for both armour and wings, as well as a slot for an “accessory” aka some sort of slot for a passive item like totems of undying, sort of like an off hand slot but without a button to activate anything.
@@CreativeUsernameHere-r1k elytra will always be op because it doesn’t have to be pre-placed like rails, and has the advantage of vertical height compared to rideable mounts. Whenever you need to move in any direction elytra will help you. Even if they nerf the speed it’ll still have use, due to it being instantaneous omni directional movement.
I'd love to see The End get overhauled to have that same vibe that Xen (from Half-Life) does. Alien and unnatural. I feel like that would fit the aesthetic of the dimension so well and its why so many mods go for that feel. I also feel like the best way to improve The End would be to just add in more content to the endgame. I'd love to see content that expands on the smithing & fletching table too. Maybe this end update adds new ores to the dimension that aren't used for tools & armors, but to modify existing gear that you already have. Like maybe an ore that spawns in the islands that when applied to tools, gives it a free level of efficiency or unbreaking. Or maybe a gem that increases the durability of whatever its put on. To keep these balanced though, you'd have to make sure they're all roughly equal in power and only 1 can be applied per item. You could also say these gems are ONLY for elytras and used to upgrade those.
In minecraft dungeons, their last DLC was actually end-themed, so if mojang does decide to add an end update, they already have a bunch of ideas put into one of their games to work with. Just another reason why an end update needs to come.
I still think we need a structure update before an end update. A new and improved stronghold and nether fortress would help make the end update that much stronger.
What i think of new biomes in the end, they should add atleast 5: 1: Yellow Barren wasteland (in minecraft dungeons dlc.) 2: crystal mountains, a gorgeous mountain with colorful crystals. 3: Shadow Valley, a dark forest, and a wasteland with plants. 4: Blazing Forest: a fire forest. 5: Chorus Forest, a forest with chorus trees and chrous plants
One thing _I_ would add to the End Update would be an Elytra-specific enchantment called “Gliding” which would increase the gliding distance of Elytra by 33.3% of base, with a maximum of 100% more glide time at level 3. The enchant would disable the use of Fireworks with the affected Elytra in an attempt to balance it. It would also only allow the Riptide enchant if the player is in a water source block, also in an attempt to balance it.
@@KwikBR Fireworks would still work with Elytra without the gliding enchant, you just wouldn't be able to swap them midair unless the pair currently worn by the player breaks and _needs_ to be swapped.
@pugster_101 Making minecraft have more progression would actually allow "Mine" and "Craft" to work better. This dude knows what he's talking about, but oh well.
I think it would be cool if they reconstructed the Ender Dragon fight and provided some adapted, less powerful versions of it in the middle of rare dungeon spawns around the End Outer Islands, along with some nice alien vegetation, just like they did with the Nether Biomes
I'm pretty sure Jeb once said on Twitter that before even considering adding a new dimension as some people have asked, the three existing dimensions would be updated first.
I hope. We see old structures from the past re-imagined such as the Brick Pyramid, and fog. Etc. Fog is seriously something that could be reincorporated in certain ways for some structures, heck properly embrace mythical beings, old ideas such as snowmen naturally spawning there's a lot that could be done. So hopefully, hopefully the end does get some love.
I think Mojang is terrified of what releasing a new combat system will do to its already tenuous relationship with players. On one hand it could be amazing and unite the community, but on the other hand it could be 1.9 all over again and a PR disaster.
@@Samstercraft77 Honestly, you made a lot of good points. Touche. I forgot about hypixel skyblock, and I do see a lot of hoplite and MCC videos in my YT suggestions. I do wonder what will happen to hypixel bedwars, and skywars though. Will it eventually die, or will hypixel decide to switch to 1.9? I feel like a lot of people will be upset either way, so I imagine it's a difficult decision for them. Splitting bedwars into 1.8 and 1.9 might be a good option, but then the playerbase would be effectively halved until everyone moves to 1.9.... hmm
The end will probably take more time to come, because there are still various features in the game's progressions that are still pretty outdated like enchanting, experience, repairing, combat, the inventory and whatever i'm currently not remembering at the moment, updating the end before those could lead to a dimension that is designed with outdated mechanics mind and it could lead to problems when such mechanics need to be updated (Look at how netherite armour was designed with the idea that players were going to put mending on it, and how now that they want to rebalance it they need to consider one more thing on top of evrything else), the Minecraft Ideas Academy channel has made what i consider to be a pretty good argument for why we shouldn't expect the end yet on his video on a potential update after 1.18.
"As we visit the past, present and look to the future". Dont the endermen have their timeless dimension they use to teleport "lore-wise"? Might also hint at end update. Timestamp: 3:17
I really REALLY hope they finally add the combat test changes in 1.21, it makes sense right? they talked a lot about combat in the live. Hopefuly we'll have The End Update annpunced next year.
I was expecting a little more when the title said "potential evidence".... but oh well, I'd also love to see an end overhaul and it would be so hype if it happened on the 15th anniversary, so let's just hope these kinds of videos and discourse gets Mojang in the mind set for it!
I see an end update more as a post-game update because of how you get there and all the things that are needed to separate the normal game from the post game.
Let me save you ten minutes, they're going to be adding *something* for minecraft's anniversary, and there's a non zero chance it could be the end update. You can leave now
End update shouldn’t happen. The end is meant to be barren and void. It’s a dead land, with only warped humans, pillars of rock, a dragon, and cities infested with fleshy parasite that live in blocks. I do think an “end oasis” biome that spawns rarely, and an occasional abandoned bunker would be interesting. Maybe another food source, like an Ender gourd would be cool, but the end should be mostly dead/alien and inhospitable.
What if it is more than that update? Maybe the reason they have been so minimal in the content being added with recent updates is because they are preparing for the 15 year anniversary and they go all out? Would be pretty cool to see.
You are completely grasping at straws here. There is no evidence that the End Update is being considered. And, the end ought to be a low priority in my opinion anyways because people will hardly go there. It's not like the nether, where you can just build a portal to go in and out as you please. Even the currently developed update could be the Combat Update V2, but even that isn't certain. It could just be a small content update instead of overhauling anything.
I’ll say what I’ve said before: I feel like they should take what they did with the End in Minecraft Dungeons and add it to the base game. It would fit the theming of the End very well, yet add way more variety.
I did think about this, and suspected that the next update would be the end, I told one of my friends why I think that and he didn't believe me arguing "they would've done it before nether if they wanted to update it".
Just the fact that EVERYONE is asking for an End Update shows that Mojang _really_ needs to make one. Players have been getting increasingly spiteful towards Mojang these days, and having a proper End revamp would really help with their public image (assuming they don't mess it up).
@pugster_101 1. "Survive and craft" was never the initial plan for the game. When the name was first conceptualized there wasn't even any crafting system, it was just a sandbox building game. Plans change, yes, but survival is only _part_ of Minecraft's identity. 2. Yes, believe it or not "fancy" updates are what keep the game alive. Minecraft is by no means a dead game. You can't be the most popular game of all time and still be dying... Hundreds upon thousands of players still play the game every day and enjoy it, many people are far more casual than you and aren't hung up on community controversy. 3. YOU are the only one taking the positivity away from the game. I am talking about giving the game more content and gameplay in a way MANY people have been suggesting for years now. You are the one saying that the game is dying out of nowhere, and saying I'm blind for not seeing it. Where are your facts? Or are you just going off of what other people told you? 4. Never said anything about fancy techniques or fancy items... You can make an impactful End update without changing the core game (you must just be salty about the Elytra if you think that). 5. Ten years is actually a really long time, nearly DOUBLE the game's current lifespan (the game has only existed for 13 years). 6. NOBODY said that making an End update would make the game _easier,_ you're pulling that statement out of thin air.
An end update would be the perfect opportunity to extend progession beyond the ender dragon, with a new boss and maybe a solution to the ancieny city portal
I agree, it seems very likely for a big end update. A few days ago I saw a video suggesting a new feature for an end update, a block that can be linked using a loadstone in the end (only) where you then can teleport to. This would be a very interesting concept. (The video was made by "Kenadian the Catboy" if anyone wants to know more.) I hope Mojang listens to a lot of ideas from the community for a possible end update, because as they said, it's there 15 anerversity and could have a big positive impact on the whole game. I am so excited, there is so much potential. I hope Mojang doesn't screw it up.
Ideas: Maybe make it so that there are a handful of distinct variants of Endermen that initially only spawn in the end, but once you kill the dragon and light the portal, they start spawning in the overworld with the implication that they are moving through the new portal.
So, 1.21 could be the official end update we’ve been looking for. I wonder what new biomes or wood types we will be getting. It’s kind of interesting that the first video of the year from this channel is actually talking about this year.
Bro, I just want you to know that you singlehandedly made me feel very old with that intro. 1.9 felt like it came out maybe a couple years ago. Time flies...
I genuinely hope they keep C418's tracks for both the Boss Fight and the End because they're perfect melancholic pieces that make you recollect in this barren wasteland
Hear me out: An end update that keeps the same desolate alien world that once was lush with life kinda vibe. Like some dead forests, lots of dead stuff, occasional sparks of high concentrations of both living flora and living fauna. And tons of new alien unique mobs that still fit in with the overall desolate feel
I hope they make the Enderdragon fight harder and add meaningful progression, rather than just adding some new biomes and niche items. Another issue that The End has right now is that it has no unique quirk that the Over world and Nether have, so I'm hoping that they add some unique feature to this dimension that makes you have to revisit it frequently.
If we get an End Update, I'd be abzolutely stoked. It won't stop me from continuing to build my own End biomes in the meantime. I've been saving up purple fireworks for the big event.
A thing that mojang told us is that if they were going to add a new dimension they would have to update the overworld and end and if so this update might be to finish the overworld so they can do the end.
For our sins we deserve eternity in hell, but God loves us so much he came as Jesus to pay the price of our sins through living a perfect life for us, his death and his resurrection so we can be forgiven and receive eternal life if we follow and obey him in faith FOR LIFE , Jesus loves u and desires to have a personal relationship with you of love, peace, redemption and obedience ✝️ May Jesus bless you, repent of your sins and turn to Christ before it's too late 🙏🏿❤️😊😊
One thing I thought that could be cool for the End update, would be friendly Enderman villagers. You could stumble across an "Ender village" where they have houses that have doors and ceilings 3 blocks high so the Endermen can fit, as they would be passive/friendly mobs you could trade with like normal villagers, maybe they have blue eyes instead of purple? They could have a small stock list of super rare loot, and require a different type of currency. This could give the player a friendly place to set up camp in the End and also give them a reason to come back more often to trade.
Honestly I would be fine keeping end mainly a looting dimension, but it still needs a variety of structures and challenges, and a bit of variety for terrain too
I think the best route for an End Update would be to take inspiration from Minecraft Dungeons' Echoing Void DLC which looks substantially better in generation and block variety, and yet keeps the alien feel in its trees, plants, and grass, along with the 4 new mobs and naturally spawning Endermites.
They should not change anything about the dragon island. I agree the nether needs an update, but the dragon island should remain untouched. It's rather more fun to find different biomes in the rest of the end dimension instead.
You kept mentioning that the End never received changes. What about how Shulkers were given the ability to reproduce when being struck by a shulker bullet? I thought that change was relatively new!
The way mojang has designed the end has sabotaged their ability to update it. To get the very valuable elytra’s and shulker boxes from the biomes, players generate hundreds if not thousands of chunks. Compare to pre-1.16 nether which was used for fast travel, the occasional nether fortress and that was it. Mojang would need to make a method for people with legacy worlds to easily reach the far points of their end to load new chunks, let alone build a base to stay in them. I saw a video about the idea for a long distance end teleportation system and I think that’s the only feasible solution. What I’m thinking mojang is planning is an update to the core campaign before the end update, possibly to hype up a following end update for the following year. They actively avoided changing the nether fortresses (aside from making them less common) in the nether update, the strongholds no longer pose a threat compared to other newer structures, the trial chambers could make new structures much more interesting and combative with trial spawners. So the idea that they’d remake these core aspects of the journey to the ender dragon along with the boss fight itself, THEN update the actual end when everyone’s eyes are on it makes sense to me.
if they do that, they need to take a page out of the mincraft dungeons end dlc. it had 3 unique types of enderman, a boss called the endersent, and an effect called void touch that slowed the player when they touched the void liquid. not to mention notable terrain changes that weren't over the top. if they add the mcd end or even just elements of it, it would be a fantastic addition to the game.

I do think Mojang really should do an End update, but I don't think they should do it now. With all the controversy recently, if they don't nail the long awaited End update then it'd probably be the final blow for a large chunk of the community
Depending on how it's executed, it's a high risk/high
reward scenario. If the update is polished and really well made, I think it can definitely make the community happy. But if the update has issues, it can be devastating, as it is one of the most requested update themes. So if it doesn't live up to expectations, lots of people will be disappointed in Mojang and further anger the community.
Mojang just doesn't have the discipline to make a satisfying End update. Maybe they should just port in the Better End mod honestly
@@ninjakirby777the totem slot
Let’s you always have a totem active with no downside
I would argue about elytra armor being too op. Elytra is already houndreds of miles ahead of other modes of transportation.
@pugster_101cope
Some trial chambers in the end that have trial spawners that open with trial keys and some stuff from Minecraft dungeons ported here would be amazing
You could also say these gems are ONLY for elytras and used to upgrade those.
especially Black Mesa's Xen, which has a much better alien look compared to HL1
In minecraft dungeons, their last DLC was actually end-themed, so if mojang does decide to add an end update, they already have a bunch of ideas put into one of their games to work with. Just another reason why an end update needs to come.
I still think we need a structure update before an end update. A new and improved stronghold and nether fortress would help make the end update that much stronger.
What i think of new biomes in the end, they should add atleast 5:
1: Yellow Barren wasteland (in minecraft dungeons dlc.)
2: crystal mountains, a gorgeous mountain with colorful crystals.
As soon as I commented, he mentioned Elytra-specific enchantments.
and just overall remove fireworks
@@KwikBR Fireworks would still work with Elytra without the gliding enchant, you just wouldn't be able to swap them midair unless the pair currently worn by the player breaks and _needs_ to be swapped.
Another enchantment that would be cool, would be some sort of temporary speed boost that peaks after rocket boosting.
dude we need an end update, would make fights and game progression way more interesting
@pugster_101 the end is boring it needs an update
@pugster_101Normally people spamming comments with Control/V try to hide it.
@pugster_101 Making minecraft have more progression would actually allow "Mine" and "Craft" to work better. This dude knows what he's talking about, but oh well.
I think it would be cool if they reconstructed the Ender Dragon fight and provided some adapted, less powerful versions of it in the middle of rare dungeon spawns around the End Outer Islands, along with some nice alien vegetation, just like they did with the Nether Biomes
so your only lead to think the next update is a end update is a super vague statement that we gonna get "many surprises" in future?
Hopefully the end update focuses on making the end more vast, mysterious, and desolate instead of adding a bunch of flashy colorful forests to it
this is going to turn the game around as we know it, hopefully.
@pugster_101so you'd rather a bland and empty biome that hasn't been changed at all for years on end? eh, you do you, man.
Imagine for Minecraft's 15'th birthday, Mojang adds all the "forgotten" Mob Vote mobs 😅
I hope there's an End update soon, there's little incentive to go there right now besides beating the game and getting elytra
So hopefully, hopefully the end does get some love.
forsen in video = good video pagman
I think Mojang is terrified of what releasing a new combat system will do to its already tenuous relationship with players. On one hand it could be amazing and unite the community, but on the other hand it could be 1.9 all over again and a PR disaster.
@@Samstercraft77 Really? Cause hypixel is 1.8 and afaik it's still the biggest server
Splitting bedwars into 1.8 and 1.9 might be a good option, but then the playerbase would be effectively halved until everyone moves to 1.9.... hmm
It feels like every year that someone predicts the next update is the end update
I’ll get a job at mojang, implement an end update, and make the community happy :)
Agree. It's no evidence... Only speculation and hope.
Dude, ever since the Nether update, I’ve been waiting for a big update for the end, I really hope that 1.22 could possibly be the end update.
I see an end update more as a post-game update because of how you get there and all the things that are needed to separate the normal game from the post game.
The End Update needs to be a whole thing by itself, not shoved along with trial dungeons and the autocrafter. Let it come in 2025.
I want an end update, because I want to make farms in the end while exploring the dimension much more rewarding
mojang just want their player to leave their base for once and explore the big world
1.20 is focused on making the player leave their comfort zone
In disc 5 you can actually hear the endersent from Minecraft dungeons. I feel like that is some good evidence.
Can't believe the amount of copium Minecraft players still have after Mojang still showing how little they add once a year.
Let me save you ten minutes, they're going to be adding *something* for minecraft's anniversary, and there's a non zero chance it could be the end update. You can leave now
If we’re getting an End Update, at least include The Heart of Ender as the secret final boss
Maybe another food source, like an Ender gourd would be cool, but the end should be mostly dead/alien and inhospitable.
why not all of that, in an update? or maybe it could be like the nether update, though the further you go out the more barren it is
An important change I think the End needs is maybe not making the Dragon Fight be in the Spawnpoint of the End
yapping level: catastrophic
MrDeeYapper
What if it is more than that update? Maybe the reason they have been so minimal in the content being added with recent updates is because they are preparing for the 15 year anniversary and they go all out? Would be pretty cool to see.
You are completely grasping at straws here. There is no evidence that the End Update is being considered. And, the end ought to be a low priority in my opinion anyways because people will hardly go there. It's not like the nether, where you can just build a portal to go in and out as you please.
Even the currently developed update could be the Combat Update V2, but even that isn't certain. It could just be a small content update instead of overhauling anything.
TheMisterEpic says that the End is supposed to be easy. 2:01

Nothing in this video indicates an update to the end
I’ll say what I’ve said before: I feel like they should take what they did with the End in Minecraft Dungeons and add it to the base game. It would fit the theming of the End very well, yet add way more variety.
The end dimension is like the middle child, neglected by Mojang getting basically no updates
@@lasercraft32 nerd
I saw that vid too.
Ideas: Maybe make it so that there are a handful of distinct variants of Endermen that initially only spawn in the end, but once you kill the dragon and light the portal, they start spawning in the overworld with the implication that they are moving through the new portal.
I got an ad about sex before watching this video, great content, legit can't wait for next vid
Lol
So, 1.21 could be the official end update we’ve been looking for. I wonder what new biomes or wood types we will be getting. It’s kind of interesting that the first video of the year from this channel is actually talking about this year.
It's incredible how hard you clickbait and make a whole video on nothing. Happy algorithming

Bro, I just want you to know that you singlehandedly made me feel very old with that intro. 1.9 felt like it came out maybe a couple years ago. Time flies...
The definition of overinterpretation...
So it's June 2024 and we ain't got no end update. But two weeks ago we got the new dungeons and mace update.
I genuinely hope they keep C418's tracks for both the Boss Fight and the End because they're perfect melancholic pieces that make you recollect in this barren wasteland
I've never seen someone grasp at straws stronger in my entire life
nah, they are probably gonna give us something like a zebra
Hear me out:
An end update that keeps the same desolate alien world that once was lush with life kinda vibe.
The void (accessible in survival) is a unique quirk
the end does need an update, but we can just make it another nether, it needs to keep that barren void wasteland aspect
Minecraft 1.22: The Cope Update
If we get an End Update, I'd be abzolutely stoked. It won't stop me from continuing to build my own End biomes in the meantime. I've been saving up purple fireworks for the big event.
you are definitely on copium
A thing that mojang told us is that if they were going to add a new dimension they would have to update the overworld and end and if so this update might be to finish the overworld so they can do the end.

Fun fact:
Mojang never fails to disappoint us
Lol
Microsoft can
They do that like weekly

Ah yes, copium
Most likely copium, but there's a small chance and I'm holding onto that
Honestly I would be fine keeping end mainly a looting dimension, but it still needs a variety of structures and challenges, and a bit of variety for terrain too
I think the best route for an End Update would be to take inspiration from Minecraft Dungeons' Echoing Void DLC which looks substantially better in generation and block variety, and yet keeps the alien feel in its trees, plants, and grass, along with the 4 new mobs and naturally spawning Endermites.
They should not change anything about the dragon island. I agree the nether needs an update, but the dragon island should remain untouched. It's rather more fun to find different biomes in the rest of the end dimension instead.
I hope whatever the next big update it will be, would also include an optimization update for performance
Overworld should be getting red dragon, maybe they’ll tie em together.

You kept mentioning that the End never received changes. What about how Shulkers were given the ability to reproduce when being struck by a shulker bullet? I thought that change was relatively new!
yeah but thats pretty minor and doesnt effect most players
Would also like to point out that it was strange that Minecraft Live was this short, we saw only few features. Another potential evidence.
if they do that, they need to take a page out of the mincraft dungeons end dlc. it had 3 unique types of enderman, a boss called the endersent, and an effect called void touch that slowed the player when they touched the void liquid. not to mention notable terrain changes that weren't over the top. if they add the mcd end or even just elements of it, it would be a fantastic addition to the game.
God I still think of the 1.9 end update as the ‘new’ end. Hearing you say that it was 8 years ago hurts me physically
i hate when people complain minecraft updates are "lackluster"
be happy your 14 year old game is still getting updates
I’d like the dragon fight to have more health and a second phase at half health with new attacks
