Keto + IF + Walking Walking burns excess blood glucose, coming from too high cortisol, preventing insulin resistance, preventing high insulin, which gives you higher HGH
I've been taking Alpha GPC (Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine) for many years. It's a releasing factor for HGH. Without a releasing factor, you can have all the HGH in the world and it won't help you. Apparently it works because at 54 my boss was treating me like I'd just gotten out of college. When he heard how old I was, his jaw literally dropped. My husband was 5 years older than me and people would ask if he were my father. It also helped my vision and now, at 64, I still have no sign of presbyopia or any other vision problems. Vision was the reason I started taking it. When driving to pick up my husband after late shifts, highway signs looked like four signs with a black bar across the bottom. Two days after I started taking Alpha GPC, there was one sign with a dark line on the bottom. A few days later, there was one sign and it's been like that ever since. There are other releasing factors but, this is what I've used for the last 15 years or so.

Wasn't aware of melatonin.. may have to start that. I started fasting 1-2 years ago to increase my diet flexibility from a keto diet. Now I'm 16-20hr fasting a day, lowish carb, and vegetable oil avoidance.
Question: How much of the decrease in the body’s ability to make these things as we age is due to aging, and how much is due to following a low-fat diet for several decades? Is it possible that a low-fat diet is also responsible for the decrease?
KenDBerryMD Thanks for answering my question. I also want to thank you for your videos. I found you on TH-cam the end of September 2019. I am female and was 58 years old at the time. My fasting blood sugar was 278 and at my heaviest, I was 90 lbs overweight. I started a ketogenic diet immediately and added intermittent fasting about 3 months later. I just turned 59, I’m on no medication (including for reflux, which just disappeared), and now my fasting blood sugar is always around 100 and I’ve lost 60 pounds so far. I expect, sometime between now and I when I drop the last 30 pounds, my blood sugar will come down further. Changed my life! Thank you!
Dr Berry, please what's your thoughts on some acclaimed clinically tested anti-aging therapy to reverse the signs of aging. Thank you Dr Berry for your life saving videos.
I started TrT, self medicated, sustanon 250, and Test- enanthate, it seems to be working pretty good , I've been doing it for 4 weeks. I'm 52 years old.
Looking to get jacked and swole? Testosterone will do that 1000x better than HGH in supraphysiological amounts of course. In fact HGH when tested alone even in supraphysiological directly injected amounts did very little to increase muscle mass. It increased lean tissue mass which was connective tissue and water but did very little for muscle itself. When HGH does seem to have a synergistic effect with INJECTED INSULIN "yes the hormone that is supposedly the devil according to this channel." To build more muscle mass. Of course these are all in supraphysiological amounts. Trying to increase any of these enough "Naturally" will do little to nothing tangible. If you are looking to get "jacked and swole" this is one of the worst channels for advice I can think of.
Also, certain types of pranayam and especially the fire breath are forcing the airflow on the area where's the third eye thus stimulating the production of HGH.
I do OMAD, keto somewhat, and HIIT at least three times a week plus weight lifting, im 51 and i feel great, only issue is sleep,i need to get better sleep, and trying to cut back on caffeine
I do the workouts On demand, there's a lot of them! I'm not going to a gym!!! I can't afford it, besides the HIIT workouts are so cool- you just jump up and do 3sets of squats, in a little while jump up and do 12pushups (or as many you can do!!) If you're in a chair, sit there and pull your stomach in as HARD as you can - that one is harder than you think 😄 Plus you don't have to go out and buy a bunch of "workout" clothes. Thank you Dr. Berry! I save all these videos for reference.
Extended fasting of up to 7 days has huge benefits with this hormone. This is with drinking water. Sauna is also very helpful for human growth hormones. Protocol: 30 minutes in 172-200 Fahrenheit 5 minute break and 30 more minutes. Wait a few hours and repeat. Cold exposure (cold shower) during the 5 minutes is good . Every 7 days. Huberman lab has this protocol. Don’t remember the link. Also remember that it has more increase if fasting for at least 3 hours upon entering. Keep hydrated!
I am really enjoying following your work, Ken. My degree is in Marketing, so if I could return the favor of your research and training benefits to me: You should offer us THE TRUTH of your research rather than your "next bright idea." You will take that to the bank if you can overcome that quaint habit...which I could compare to my learning to fast and avoid the various forms of sugar that I did not know about before I heard you list them. Thx! 🥩
Charles Foster. Hi. I wanted to let you know that Dr. Berry's "bright ideas" are backed up by scientific data. Just arrow down below his video and there are quite a few studies he has posted. Happy reading. Betty
Charles, Really? Dr. Berry is posting videos that provide people with information about IF & fasting/ketogenic life, he is posting videos people WILL WATCH! I will not watch some 45minute waste of my time. Why do you not have a TH-cam channel 🤔
Thank you for a good video! Only thing I'm wondering, is that I've read from other sources that when you're aiming to build muscle, it would be a good idea to take a slow-digesting protein such as Casein before bed time. But that would obviously negate the intermittent fasting. So I'm wondering which approach would be optimal for muscle growth. Considering your training and daily diet otherwise stays the same.
Two questions: 1.) does taking creatine spike your insulin, or break a fast? I’m wondering because I exercise while fasted. 2.) do you have any information about ashwaganda while on keto?
with intermittent fasting it is a little bit more complicated. if being (very) hungry, there is something wrong. probably increased gluconeogenesis because of chronically elevated cortisol. this can be fixed with relaxed walking and not doing medium or high intensity exercise. when walking, the cortisol is down on the following day, which keeps hunger in check and then allows you to do IF
Sofiya Milman, M.D., from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine begs to differ, regarding HGH for the older generation. She explains the reasons why they should not take HGH in a video titled, "What You Need to Know About Growth Hormones, Growth Hormone Supplements,& Aging", and I would challenge you do respond to that video.
I read somewhere that women in their 50's shouldn't do HIIT due to the body dumping cortisone. What do you say Dr. Berry? I'm 54 and need to lose the fat around my lower abdomen
@Laurie Rossi - Try LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) workouts or LSD (Long Slow Distance) activities. Both work well for middle-aged women for whom cortisol is indeed the nemesis in fighting belly fat. Distance walking will achieve this.
Hi Dr. Berry. I absolutely love your videos. I was wondering if you could do a video on the keto rash. I started the keto diet to loose weight and become healthy, and I got a horrible rash a month in that kept reoccurring. I switched to carnivore hoping that would solve the problem but it did not. I am currently still on the carnivore diet and feeling AMAZING but I still have this reoccurring keto rash. How can I stop/prevent this??
The keto rash is yeast leaving the body sugar has been feeding the yeast in your gut and now it’s blooming to the surface an anti fugal cream will help it will eventually go away
I am a 42 year old that wants to get jacked, & swoll, but in the mornings it is often just a struggle to get up, & move around, without pain isn't even a option.
I'm logical I like to base my actions on sound test data. Are there tests that can be run to show what is deficient or excessive ? Are there key triggers on the body or mood signs that show what is low or high?
@@ScottResnickMD That's my point , if you read and listen to the information presented it's given in a general manner. For instance, phrases like, " this may help you ". Each person's physiology is different , so in order to correlate any test results to obtain an accurate treatment . General information may mistreat a patient. Therefore , instead of only presenting study results, it might be more informative to tell people how to find out if they need to worry about the content presented. Since, what you consume , sleeping , and workout are key factors, but the major factor is genetics ,and a good diet may not be enough. Testing is something to mention ............

Question: How much of the decrease in the body’s ability to make these things as we age is due to aging, and how much is due to following a low-fat diet for several decades? Is it possible that a low-fat diet is also responsible for the decrease?
It is entirely possible; we don't currently know. A great idea for a research study.
Thank you!
@@reesegilbert Great Job!
Freetheppl Aw, shucks.Thanks.. 😊
@@reesegilbert WOW. I am so impressed & inspired by your progress. May you live a long, healthy & happy life.
You are looking great!
Thanks! Great info
Jacked and swol...LOL ;)
@@Ryan_DeWitt Thomas DeLauer is a great chanel for building muscle while on low carb, hes also not afraid to raise his insulin after a workout
Also, certain types of pranayam and especially the fire breath are forcing the airflow on the area where's the third eye thus stimulating the production of HGH.
Where's the closed captions for the deaf and hard of hearing, we are Humans. Thank you
1)creatine
2)gaba
3)melatonin

5)intermittent fasting
I do OMAD, keto somewhat, and HIIT at least three times a week plus weight lifting, im 51 and i feel great, only issue is sleep,i need to get better sleep, and trying to cut back on caffeine
I know this is old post. What are you doing to get better sleep
😍💜 Another informative video
Extended fasting of up to 7 days has huge benefits with this hormone. This is with drinking water. Sauna is also very helpful for human growth hormones.
Protocol: 30 minutes in 172-200 Fahrenheit 5 minute break and 30 more minutes. Wait a few hours and repeat. Cold exposure (cold shower) during the 5 minutes is good . Every 7 days. Huberman lab has this protocol. Don’t remember the link. Also remember that it has more increase if fasting for at least 3 hours upon entering. Keep hydrated!
Happy father's day baby
@@bettyweller1487 Well said Betty😊👍
Thanks 🙏👍
Thank you sir!
What dose of meletonin do you recommend? I've read to micro-dose for sleep and more for inflamation
Hey doc, please tell us what you eat in a normal day.
That's a great question! We should be asking this of all our doctors
Am older vegan ,occasionally sea food, live on coast ,sleep deprived. fasting worked, need focus on HIIT .gaba , melatonin .
What are your thoughts on creatine and kidney damage?
Does this apply to women as well?.
Hey Dr Berry! When taking a gaba or melatonin supplement, as well as fasting, would you have them with your last meal rather than just before bed?
When I take melatonin, I am out withing an hour.
Take these at night to maintain your circadian rhythms!
Thank you sir❤
Two questions:
1.) does taking creatine spike your insulin, or break a fast? I’m wondering because I exercise while fasted.
2.) do you have any information about ashwaganda while on keto?
Thank you for this information. Your channel was recommended by Beth of Fifty Plus Beauty. She says hello.
Beth at fiftyplusbeauty told me about this video. Thanks I will try all this.
You look great Doc! The face seems so lean but jacked and swol.
Glycine is so important! Thats what I love about carnivore and making sure to eat 'nose-to-tail.'
with intermittent fasting it is a little bit more complicated. if being (very) hungry, there is something wrong. probably increased gluconeogenesis because of chronically elevated cortisol. this can be fixed with relaxed walking and not doing medium or high intensity exercise.
when walking, the cortisol is down on the following day, which keeps hunger in check and then allows you to do IF
Dr. Berry, can you address Chronic Venous Insufficiency ? Thank you.
DAVID SINCLAIR TAKES HIS OWN STUFF
AND LOOKS 30 AT 50+
Great tips. Can we know the doses recommended for each supplement? I already fast. But I need doses doc!
Does creatine have any effect on the Keto diet?
Sofiya Milman, M.D., from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine begs to differ, regarding HGH for the older generation. She explains the reasons why they should not take HGH in a video titled, "What You Need to Know About Growth Hormones, Growth Hormone Supplements,& Aging", and I would challenge you do respond to that video.
What about creatine and kidney function,is it bad for kidneys
I read somewhere that women in their 50's shouldn't do HIIT due to the body dumping cortisone.
What do you say Dr. Berry? I'm 54 and need to lose the fat around my lower abdomen
Eat foods that keep your insulin low
@@thakraken6995
Thanks. I'm mostly carnivore. I've been keto about 3 years.
@Laurie Rossi - Try LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) workouts or LSD (Long Slow Distance) activities.
Both work well for middle-aged women for whom cortisol is indeed the nemesis in fighting belly fat.
Distance walking will achieve this.
Drop the dairy until you get to your goal. Try 1-2 day fast once a month.
Hi Dr.
Is GABA a component of the medication gabapentin?
Good question!? I would like to know that as well.
GABA= a natural hormone. Gabapenitn is a medication that is similar but not the same
Thanks Dr
I am a 42 year old that wants to get jacked, & swoll, but in the mornings it is often just a struggle to get up, & move around, without pain isn't even a option.
Hi Dr. Berry! How much GABA should I take at bedtime? Thanks for everything you do!!!
What are your feelings about Ambien vice Melatonin?
I'm logical I like to base my actions on sound test data. Are there tests that can be run to show what is deficient or excessive ? Are there key triggers on the body or mood signs that show what is low or high?
I agree. So much testing is available to you. The secret is knowing how to put it all together. "You can't manage what you can't measure."
Great video - thanks! Quick question, may a person take creatine during an intermittent fasting period, or will that break the fast?
It's an amino acid, it doesn't have any calories, so it shouldn't.
