10:1527:09 The man pictured above my name there isn't me, but Alex Anderson. Alex is a very pure and awesome Goldeneye speedrunner who has had nothing to do with any GDQ drama. Images of Goose with Alex from their co-op AGDQ14 speedrun were shared a lot following the bans from GDQ in various articles (I think Kotaku headlined with it before retracting the image), so I think a lot of people misunderstood Alex as being me. Just replying to clear his image of any wrongdoing, since he has already had to deal with a lot of falsely attributed involvement in these events.
Alex a.k.a BassBoost or something like that or am I wrong? I remember watching a bonus stream of him as well playing mario party 2 at gdq with naegliria. seemed like a really cool guy
protomagicalgirl is pretty clearly pretending to have DID, which is really disgusting honestly DID is formed by trauma in childhood, not splintering a personality, but rather not allowing it to form naturally, leading to alters to form, separate personalities with specific roles in a "system" it's not just a "oh wow I'm two different people isn't that quirky no i can remember all of this stuff from when I'm the confident persona" like the defining characteristic of DID is amnesiac walls, the barriers people with DID's minds create that allows different personalities to even exist
I felt Caleb touching my butt, but when i turned around he seemed to already be gone. Its a shame i cant even be safe in my own shower here in germany #ShameOnCaleb
Look, guys, I know we're mostly laughing and memeing at GDQ here, but this could be very serious. I am not talking about speedrunning or charity here, I am talking about closed communities like this. To us from the outside, it looks like they just ban people and it's funny, but think about how much worse it could be on the inside. The guy that runs this shit is clearly savoring the power that he has. If he kicks out people that do not feel vulnerable, think of the kind of abuse that could be happening to the people that do. If this guy tells a mentally unstable person in his community "do this or I'll ban you from GDQ", they'll probably do it.
Yeah I fear this may (or may not) be some gasoline in the already raging fire of the sentiment that all LGBTQ+ people are "whiny snowflakes". We are not.
Joghurt2499 you are. All the time you claim that everyone hates you and all, when pretty much everyone accepts you. If anyone who disagrees with you speaks up, you snowflakes will cry
Hot take: raising money for charity and potentially saving lives should not ever be politicized, and GDQ is a great example of why doing so turns what should be an objectively good thing into a extremely uninviting environment for people who don’t conform
I stopped watching GDQ after the bonesaw stuff. Like come on man, air canada and owen wilson jokes? That's ban worthy? I want to know what's going on in these people's heads to think that making a joke about owen wilson or air canada is offensive in any way and not just light hearted fun. FFS man.
The best part was when GDQ tweeted at Air Canada and they had no fucking idea who they were or what they were talking about. I think the people who run it are super full of themselves and believe gdq is bigger than it is. Dont get me wrong, it pulls in some great charity cash (a good chunk going back to the organizers), but it's still fairly niche.
I completely support GDQs decision to ban people who say genuinely transphobic, racist, or other stupid comments, but I couldn't fucking believe someone actually got banned for the Owen Wilson jokes.
@@ps3andrhcp they think they are hot shit yet they still host these events in deadass convention halls and use the same mundane set ups. It's like they dont want GDQ to grow to the next step because they are afraid of losing the control and influence they have on people.
Celeb is 100% right This all started with a dude hosting a speedrunning marathon in his mothers basement.... It was all about games and having fun and raising a little bit of money for a good cause... Now look at what this has become.... Chat is sub only because EMOTES are triggering people Some people got skin that is thinner than paper
Except now big money is on the line and it has become quite sponsored. They probably want to keep it as PG as possible so sponsors don't pull out. Do you get this upset at Disney for vetting its actors and binding them to very restrictive contracts that keep them from embarrassing the company? When money gets involved, the atmosphere changes.
@@NighteyesJP Yeah we will see how being PC will turn out for the companies. If you shit on your main customers/audience like Gillette did you will get a lot of backlash. Imagine calling your customers sexual predators and thinking your overpriced shit will sell better. All the sponsors care about sales no one supports this shit because they want to support a cause. Having someone that believes to have 2 personalities in "itself" doesnt seem like a good person to be making business with either.
@@NighteyesJP GDQ isn't Disney, and even Disney goes too far. Why has it suddenly become an acceptable standard for big companies to essentially silence their employees, to only allow them to express opinions and ideas that a particular political group agrees with? Remember when Disney shrunk John Boyega on the Star Wars poster released in China? Does that NOT upset you? How is it any different for Disney to shrink Boyega because 'black people don't sell in China', than it is for them to disallow their own employees and actors from expressing certain political views on their private social media pages? How is GDQ any different? Banning people for saying a single word over 2 years ago in a video completely unrelated to GDQ? Banning people for wrong think said in a private Discord chat? Banning people for saying 'soyboy'? Banning people for saying "Woow" a few too many times? Banning people for having a Twitter profile that states that they oppose 'feminazism'? What? Are the advertisers stalking these runner's Twitter accounts and saying "Whelp, can't advertise our McDonalds Big Macs while HE is playing!"? Are viewers seeing those 'transphobic emotes' in chat and being like "Oh well I was going to donate $10 to this event for Doctors Without Borders. But that emote that xXxBigDixorzQTxXx just posted has convinced me otherwise!"? There is nothing sensible about any of this. It has nothing to do with keeping the event PG, and it has everything to do with suppressing the 'incorrect' political opinions and ideas. Just like Blizzard did when they banned Blitzchung and took away his prize money. But it's ok because that Hearthstone tournament had real money on the line and they couldn't risk their Chinese overlords slapping them on the wrist.
Rejax Gilette’s not comparable since it IS the sponsor, trying to sell directly to you, the paying customer. So if their message is offensive then groups of people will stop buying their product. GDQ is a charity providing a free service, supported by viewers and companies. Yes, if they started spewing offensive rhetoric during the stream sponsors and viewers will likely stop supporting them. But they keep as much drama off the camera it seems, to maintain a air of professionalism. The truth is GDQ will never return to the underground format it was years ago. Too much money on the line now. But it is a hardcore gaming community run by some who have difficulty in social settings, thus giving us spectators times of cringe. And these people seem to enjoy doing this since it’s what they love. So good for them. The only thing I disagree with is the grudges they seem to hold against certain streamers and blacklists of people they deem unfit for attendance, but it is their event, and so far they have been growing it each year which I would say is a sign of their success. Until I see otherwise, I don’t see them failing regardless of what people in the video or comments have said.
Spinner891 Here’s the truth: it’s their event and if they want their policy to be like that, well that’s their choice. If you feel it goes against your beliefs, either watch/donate to other events which are more your style, or start your own event and make it welcoming to everyone and all speech. Also, nobody said what Disney or Blizzard does was acceptable, just that it happens when money comes into the equation. That’s life, no matter how furious you type your replies.
@@cresoma For me it was not facepalm, I get the facepalm feeling when people who do wacky shit and fail. What I felt was disgust and/or cringe at the same time. Seriously wtf.
@vargen1414 ...how does SPD get confused with DID? (MPD is an outdated concept) My understanding of those two spectrums does not allow for mis-diagnosis. Have I missed something?
That run was honestly the only entertaining one I saw that year. He brought so much character to the event. Maybe the dude who banned him was just jealous that bonesaw is a much more likeable person than himself lol
Good works. Anyone can have good intentions, but at the end of the day what matters is what they actually did. This is why people with utopian ideas ultimately create dystopias, they believe any amount of evil they commit is okay because of their intentions and that the ends of what they are reaching for justify the means of what they are doing. But, this never ends well, because no amount of good intent can undo the harm that is caused by bad actions. If you want to make the world better then you have to actually do good things, which is difficult because that requires a lot more than flowery words.
GDQ became equiped with leftists and they ban anyone not abiding by the cultural left cancer. Hardly NOT BEING a leftist makes anyone bad, as well as being a leftist does not make anyone good solely based on that
It's truly a shame how corrupted GDQ has become because of the social trendiness. Can't even enjoy the speedruns because of the baggage. It was nice when it used to be able the expertise of a player and not completely unimportant aspects.
I don't understand what is so hard about letting something stand as its own thing. The event is for speedrunning and and charity, that's it. Nobody has a problem if they want to be inclusive but when their "inclusively" is actively drowning out the other two aspects, they might want to reconsider their inclusively plan.
ESA (European Speedrun Assembly) is pretty good. It's not as high production value as GDQ, but it's on par with something like GDQ 2015. Still fun to watch though, just like GDQ was in early years. I don't like watching streams, seeing the same game over and over or having no context to the run so ESA is great. They commentate runs, explain the tricks and recent changes to the run etc. just like they do at GDQ, only without the identity politics and PG language filter. Less donation messages too and no cringy forced memes (think orb, honk, endless puns).
There's also the Z-Event if you are a French speaking person. Lot's of "controvertial" gamers but the organizer don't care. He knows these people are for the most, his friends and he knows these people have a big communities and are ready to give as much as they can to help fund a good association.
i'll never forget the roots of GDQ. it was held at Essentia's house, where she cheated on her husband(who's still with her) with Ultra JMan who had a complete breakdown on stream during the end of the event.
danny miller lol! I heard about some guy having a breakdown at an old event, but I never realized that’s how it went down. What a charming origin story.
Thanatos9029 Submit to your overlords, I can’t believe you had the audacity to voice your opinion on a severely toxic and mentally deranged individual.
I haven't seen all the video so IDK if this is an actual quote. as someone who has been dealing with anxiety attacks since August (foutinately it's gotten a lot better since January, but still flairs up sometimes), using food as a primary method for distractions isn't..ideal. especially if it involves junk food. of course this is completely different if the anxiety / panic is a result of being hungry or something.
@@JLCL01 I had depressive episodes where I could not go out of my room to go to the kitchen to get food out of fear that my roommates would find me having a minor panic attack in the kitchen because I can't decide what to eat. Shit can be scary. And I know my roommates would be supportive if they knew what's going on in my life. Going out in public? Hell no. Especially if it wasn't in an anonymous city where a crying person is just overlooked and you just KNOW a convention is going to be packed with people staring, whispering... Completely agree that food is not a good outlet for anxiety, depression or mental illness in general. But just my two cent
"I'm two of your hosts" "alexis and Proto are completely different conscious entities in our shared mind" Holy cow. This is what you get when you make everything and anything socially valid. This is either genuine mental illness that needs to be properly treated by professionals, or desperate, deliberate attention seeking. Not something to be paraded and celebrated.
It is actually a mental illness. It might just be attention seeking (probably). I don’t have a degree on psyc though. It seems like something serious, although not particularly dangerous in any way. With stuff like this, I think the best way to deal with it is to not comment about it and just cave to the persons requests. You can’t really know if the person has a disorder or how they actualy feel (unless you have actual knowledge in the field, which you apperently don’t have).
I don’t get why people have to be making such a fuss about these things. Just try to accept and respect how they identify and if you are close maybe ask if they have spoken to a professional about it. I get that it is odd but everyone is odd in some way and letting people feel comfortable helps everyone in the long run.

@@greganzi8874 I have DID and have been mostly successfully treated via several years of seeing a psychologist so I can say with a degree of certainty that this person does not have DID. You are unaware of your other personality(s) other than what other people tell you or if you film yourself and you certainly don't talk directly to, and directly answer your other selves...you don't have conversations, you are not legion. They might however have some form of schizophrenia, which I am told is much worse and not nearly as treatable. THAT presents as metal disconnect with reality and having conversations with an imagined other self is at least more in line with symptoms of that disorder. Though from what I have read the "voices" and images schizophrenics sometimes report to hear and see are usually incoherent to them and they also don't tend to respond. Regardless. If they are actually experiencing some sort of mental illness they should seek help.
Questionable Logic Was anyone present for the meeting where "weeaboo" became a slur? Unrelated to the video, but that's a very similar accusation that I suddenly remembered happening elsewhere.
Victimhood in the age of woke Twitter directly translates to social capital and in many cases it's beneficial financially, so of course people are rushing to claim offense at as many things as possible.
Woke twitter, smike gwitter. A language adapts over time abd words can become slurs or lose slur status. As a member of the GRSM community(more commonly the LGBT community) I have seen many a trans woman called a girly boy or a soy boy or beta cuck etc etc.
Soy Boy, at least where I am from and grown to know the term, is a man/boy who consumes a lot of food that contain estrogen (Aka soybean milk) that result in a hormonal person. How it DIRECTLY became a slur, i am uncertain but i can see how the dots connect. What concerns me the most is bonesaw's ban for just having good commentary. He was one of the first GDQs i seen. The "wow" and Canada Air jokes were pretty funny. I think that eventually GDQ bites themselves in the butt by banning too many popular runners.
Oh shit finally I can ask this question: do you actually have a prosthetic arm? Also I hope you're having a nice day and not at all diving into the cesspool of the internet.
Honestly, the fact that trihex was banned over something a year ago, then dragged through that again, was terrible. GDQ straight said "I know you didn't apply for anything in 2019, so we couldn't ban you then, but hey, atleast now we can ban you."
19:49 You hit the nail on the head. There are extra levels of fragility, but I don’t think it’s actually the gay or lesbian members. It’s the people with these emotional issues, that latch on to “a community” that gives them a sense of legitimacy and purpose. They then co-opt it and use it to exert their wants and needs onto people that normally wouldn’t have noticed them or respected their disrespectful and selfish “demands.”

You are way too apologetic when talking about matters among the trans community. Reasonable people understand that you're not doing it out of prejudice or discrimination, and the twitter mobs won't give a crap, no matter how apologetic you sound.
Yep. Only the insane will bat an eye over discussing personalities that happen to be LGBTQ. And tumblr insanity seeping out into THE REAL WORLD deserves psychological or psychiatric attention - barring that, it's also open to criticism and even ridicule. To be specific, it's funny when Piccolo and Kami were "two guys now!" and even funnier once TFS got to adding Nail to the mix. Listening to a real, otherwise sane person insist that they're "plural" and not being able to keep a straight face doesn't make me anything-phobic. Don't drag the real people who suffered because of their sexuality or gender identity into your fucking teenaged delusions.
This is called identity politics. The more you rally behind your own group and demand special treatment and acknowledgement, the more you alienate yourself from others and create division. Instead of finding common ground, you become conceited. It's gone from simple acceptance to self-centered hypocrisy about fairness.
After watching ADGQ 2020, I felt that the runs were less interesting and the couch and runners were transformed into unoffensive complaint robots. I did hear the four letter F-word at one point during the run, It felt refreshing somehow.
Twisted Banana Productions It’s so ridiculous that the games people play can be filled with profanity and gore, but the runners can’t even say “shit” without being kicked out.
So everybody else has to change how they act because others are imagining discomfort? ...............I like games and everything, but that's ridiculous.
Same here man, same here. But you know what comes to mind when I think of people forcing others into change due to their own issues? *cough* selfentitlement *cough*
GDQ sounds awful. I used to be friends with the guy who ran Miner Ultra Adventures there; he's very level-headed and kind to everyone. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he understands just how authoritative & biased their staff are, or how easily they cave into the small amount of viewers who send angry tweets demanding extreme action.
I've talked to a lot of people that have gone. It seems that most people that actually attend tend to have a really fun experience. Not trying to exaggerate or be biased, it's just what I hear from attendees 9 times out of 10. It seems that it's mostly just the stream, current runner, and commentary couch that they rule with an iron fist. Outside of the stream and couch things are pretty relaxed and most people are just happy to see their friends in the community and hang out/play some games with them.
ProtoMagicalGirl is just trying to make people forget the whole "I love wearing diapers" fiasco when she was a dude on a bunch of weird fetish sites. We remember Proto. We all remember.

What pisses me off more is everyone now saying they have PTSD. It's extremely disrespectful to people who genuinely have it. Soldiers, vets, cops, etc. People who have seen REAL trauma have PTSD. To try and lump yourself into a group that has held people while they died because someone said something mean to you online is ludicrous.
Idea. New speedrun category. "GDQ live ban - Any %" How fast can you get banned from GDQ while doing a run. You could even have a cussing and no cussing category.
And the sad fact about this is, you are almost required to do so. xD Basically, pet them, hug them, and just...you know, you gotta "ensnare" them, kinda. Unless you do so, they will wip out the pitchforks and torches and destroy your career. And even IF you do so, those that don't feel petted enough will come after you still. Its ridiculous. Nobody can make it right for everybody. They can try their best, but never achieve it. It just irks me the wrong way each time I hear this, because it's obvious that the issue is not at the one prompting the critique, but at those that can't take it - at all. It just sucks man... x.x
Was thinking the exact same thing, it's pathetic. If they can't understand the difference just from the content of what he's saying they can just fuck off. Their offence is meaningless and shouldn't be respected in the slightest.

@@theonlycatonice GDQ's chat mods clearly have double standards. Apparently I'm not allowed to call the Earthbound enemy "Foppy" by its name and get banned for it, but the runner can just fine.
I always thought soyboy was just used to describe someone who's really awkward, or could also be considered a "beta male". I think insinuating soyboy has a homophobic/transphobic meaning also insinuates that you assume everyone that identifies as either gay or transexual act in a soyboy-ish way, which just isn't the case at all.
Yeah I always just thought it was a derogatory term for a feminist-sympathising "beta male". I think it's pretty well been turned into a joke term just by the left using it as a pisstake. Does anyone really take "soyboy" seriously as an offensive term anymore ?! Come on.
Anym and rather than getting him help, we should just agree to everything he claims. Imagine if we did that to people with schizophrenia: “oh no, there really ARE spiders crawling all over you!”
It's not a multiple personality disorder. It's larp. Multiple personality disorder isn't some fun little disorder where you just talk to your headmates where you take turns at controlling the body, it's actually terrifying and life ruining, as schizophrenia usually is.
It really bothers me that we now have to clarify that we don't hate LGBT people when criticizing the over glorification and over protection of them. Almost like overtly protecting a community like that creates real victims 🤔
"We" don't "have to" do anything. Glink made that choice himself because he truly is a soyboy and scared what might happen if he doesn't toe the line with these people.
I feel we're in a sad state when you have to do a full on disclaimer saying 'I like trans people but they do things worth criticizing' like that says a lot about the community
Every Trans person I've met understands this... But you know who doesn't? Attention seeking sociopaths who do shit like claim lesbians are transphobic for not sleeping with them when they are born male, have no dysmorphia, and have no intention of transitioning. "Transtrenders" are possibly the biggest enemy to normalizing transexuality. Because they actively don't want it.

TLDR of what not to do to get into GDQ: - Don't joke about certain celebrities or companies, even if it is lighthearted - Don't say a slur ever, even if it was said long before trying to get into GDQ, and even if it wasn't said to another person - Don't call video game bosses potentially offensive names - Failure to comply will result in you getting banned from submitting games, but you also might be outcasted and stopped from doing other things as well - Apologies don't matter - Don't publicly display your opinions if they are conservative - Don't have tongue-in-cheek comments related to pronouns - Don't say you hate feminazism
Wait... since when is "Soy Boy" transphobic or homophobic? It's an insult aimed at straight "cis" men specifically... Pathetic manlets, but men nonetheless.
MrJobocan It is, but if they were to say that in the tweet then GDQ wouldn’t give it the time of day. Cancel culture is all about dragging people down below you to feel more powerful, wether you have to lie about it or not.
MrJobocan it’s aimed at people you mean to demean by saying they’re less masculine. It’s meant to take your male identity and compare you to feminine features which is a bit homophobic as people typically stereotype gay men as feminine.
as a nonbinary person myself, i won't say that there aren't people in the community who use their position to seek attention or shield themselves from criticism, however there are many people who aren't like that. the majority of the community are simly passionate about their place within it. it's about standing together simply because there is often lots of targeted discrimination, and therefore they are quick to call out people who are unknowingly offending them. i don't believe most people within the community have malicious intentions, even if it does appear that way. there are also people who are genuinely mentally ill and need help, which doesn't help people's opinion of the community or some of the people in it. imo, the best way for people to get along is to establish what they are okay with and what they aren't. unfortunately in this world there are way too many conflicting opinions and people who are unwilling to compromise or respect the opinions or beliefs of others. as long as the lgbtq community exists, there will be discrimination and conflict, just as there is with ethnicities. i'm sorry for writing a really long reply, but the problem is difficult to summarise. hope it isn't too daunting
"Political correctness is America's newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people's language with strict codes and rigid rules. I am not sure that is the way to fight discrimination. I am not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech." George Carlin
i mean I think educating people about differences is much more effective. Like, if Proto was the first trans person you ever saw, you would probably be grossed out and say something mean. But I don't think that it would be out of intolerence, it would be out of lack of understanding.
tbf this is probably going to sound shitty but they don't really owe anything to anyone, they can choose to not hold the event if they wanted to and that would cause a lot more damage to alienating the few people that were only there for the runners they banned
I won’t watch the clipped runs on their channel anymore. I rarely watched live just because of my schedule, but I refuse to support them anymore which is sad for all the great runners out there. Now if I see a run that sounds interesting I’ll just go look it up on wherever the runner has it posted so I can support them personally. It’s sad that such a great event has been hijacked and is being misused, in my eyes.
Also you're untouchable and can say literally anything you want. But if anyone there expresses a negative opinion in your general direction they get a stern talking to by the staff and banned from the event for life.
Honestly. As a Queer person, I don't feel safe going to GDQ. Everyone is depressed and has "mental health issues" and anxiety, i wonder how many of them had it declared by a doctor and not by their twitter friends.
@@legoboy7825 Because most of these people are self-diagnosed. Everyone feels sad or depressed sometimes, but that doesn't say you have actual depression. Same with anxiety. A lot of people feel bad around others sometimes. That's why he used the quotations. These people (not all of them of course) never went to a doctor because they know the doctor would just tell them that they have no depression/anxiety, they just feel bad sometimes.
Black Jesus I do agree, but, in all fairness, mental issues are not as straightforward as having a flu or something easily diagnosed. However, even if the majority is lying just to gain “victim points” and do not have real problems, Im certain that the smaller percentage might actually have these issues, and it really is dangerous to leave this stuff unchecked.
You do realize that getting a diagnose for depression is as simple as going to the doctor's office, right? They don't have any special device that detects "true" depression, you tell them you're depressed and they give you a paper saying you're depressed. That's what diagnosing depression is, it relies entirely on self-reporting the corresponding symptoms. You can google something like the BDI 21 test, then repeat those words to the doctor. That's what diagnosing depression is. Having or not having that magical piece of paper doesn't make the depression any more real or less real. If your car breaks down and you don't take it to a mechanic does that mean the car isn't broken down?

1. They enter the community seeking inclusiveness and acceptance. 2. They seek out instances of perceivable unjustness towards their community that they represent. 3. When they find that perceived unjustness, they work to have that person removed from the community they just entered. 4. This creates an aura of "decency" in the group, and any new unjustness is met with the same consequences. 5. Having the group's morals now under control, they can host and dictate what the group engages in and how. 6. Any criticism from within the group is met with intolerance accusations regardless of accuracy. The reason for the criticism is viewed as being due to the identity of the criticized, and the one criticizing is ganged up on by the criticized persons peer group and removed. 7. Once all of this is established, they push the limits of acceptance by making everything about their identity, and any suggestion or push to remove that concept and focus on the original intent is met with the same vigor and consequences as those who criticized them before. 8. Eventually, the group is taken over by those types of people and the original group has been shamed and harassed with their reputation ruined, as well as having been made an example to any other future challengers to their ideology. Yes, they want a community, but they tend to insert themselves into their desired community of choice, and then push out anyone who doesn't fit into their view of what they want the community to be. Here are the rules for handling these people. 1. Don't ever apologize, because that is viewed as admission, and there is no coming back to good graces once you've admitted guilt of any sort, even if you're doing it honestly. 2. Don't cater to them. If they want to be in the community, then they should have to deal with all the things that everyone else deals with. Smack talk, odd jokes and pokes are part of the community. 3. Don't virtue signal. Pushing that you are "For Them" gives them Carte Blance to do what they want and enforce their rules despite what your rules say. If you don't adhere to them, they will shame you into adhering to their standard. 4. Don't jump on the bandwagon when they come for a community member. It's easy to virtue signal and do what what seems right by banning someone for things they've said, but it will ultimately ruin the community because it develops an environment of fear to engage. Remember, the Speedrun community is full of awkward people who do and say awkward things constantly. It's kinda part of the appeal, but if you act against them, they'll either shut up completely, or go away, thus shrinking your group and effectiveness to raise money for charity, as well as casting a socially awkward person back into the shadows where they may fall into a depression due to their entire lives being ruined from the loss of their community.
Maximum Pink, I’ve been following and figuring out this ideology for years, and they can do this to any community. I often try to warn people where I can, and I saw this coming here years ago. And it’s not that they’re bad people. It’s just that they get power hungry and fail to see the harm they do with their actions, due to how they define anyone that seems against them as bad people deserving of whatever consequences come to you, especially by their groups hand. I think one of the most interesting thing about them, is how they actively create space to insert their issues, while setting new and strange standards and rules. They push logical interactions to the point of confusion, such as one biologically male person changing their pronouns to it/it’s and she/her and doubling as equaling 2 people. To challenge them being to people is to challenge their identity, which makes you transphobic. It doesn’t really, but the image will be forced out there that you are.
I used to run a small web community back when Skype was just starting out and ICQ/AIM/YIM/MSN where flooding the market and group-chatting with strangers was either through IRC, flash based chats and alike. Back then, I built a small communtiy of about 50 permanently active and 70 inactive people. Every time someone new entered the community, the same thing started over and over... They came in, tried to fit in, realized that they didnt like how things were going and tried to change said things by literally annoying the living piss out of me in private messages - and later my moderators. When we did not adhere, they threw a *MASSIVE* fit and eventually left. Yes, I will sound like an asshole here but: If you join a community, don't expect the community to "join you". Fit in, or fit yourself back through the doorway. The world is not just about you, but about everyone - and there can never, never never ever be actual, real, objectively accurately precieved justice (bah, i hate this word btw, but it just...im not a native speaker so this is all i got, lol). I admire how there are LGBTQ+ people that are moving onward and forward, but unfortunately, those are the more quiet ones. The loud ones are those that will force themselves into a community and once they basically turned into "their" community, they will realize that now their original goal is not achieved anymore and set out for the next community, bringing their other people with them and the circle repeats where they will try to absorb the community so it "joins them". I do support LGBTQ+, Individualism and the like. But I will always boot someone out of my community who is obviously not coming in for hanging out, having fun, and sharing their individuality with us but rather to just take over, absorb and move on. I do not like these types of people, and watching what is becoming of GDQ, I am just waiting to see who will ultimatively absorb the community and what they do with it. I got some popcorn, so bring it on!
That sounded exactly like something Chris Chan would say without even thinking about the implications of it. That sounds like multiple personality disorder/schizophrenia

It's paved with misdirected "good intentioned" ideas with little to no further consideration and an inability to accept their own mistakes
Now that I think abt it. If the road to hell is paved with Good Intentions. Then what is the road to heaven paved with?
Telling nerds to behave at an event is like telling jocks to behave in a frat house.
It's not just gdq, every corner of the internet has these asshats infesting them.
I don't understand what is so hard about letting something stand as its own thing. The event is for speedrunning and and charity, that's it. Nobody has a problem if they want to be inclusive but when their "inclusively" is actively drowning out the other two aspects, they might want to reconsider their inclusively plan.

And tumblr insanity seeping out into THE REAL WORLD deserves psychological or psychiatric attention - barring that, it's also open to criticism and even ridicule.

Wtf is “plural.” It really pisses me off when people use the LGBT community as a way to get attention or as a shield for any criticism.
I feel bad for the people who are stuck with the lunatics involved with the situation.
as a nonbinary person myself, i won't say that there aren't people in the community who use their position to seek attention or shield themselves from criticism, however there are many people who aren't like that. the majority of the community are simly passionate about their place within it. it's about standing together simply because there is often lots of targeted discrimination, and therefore they are quick to call out people who are unknowingly offending them. i don't believe most people within the community have malicious intentions, even if it does appear that way. there are also people who are genuinely mentally ill and need help, which doesn't help people's opinion of the community or some of the people in it.
imo, the best way for people to get along is to establish what they are okay with and what they aren't. unfortunately in this world there are way too many conflicting opinions and people who are unwilling to compromise or respect the opinions or beliefs of others. as long as the lgbtq community exists, there will be discrimination and conflict, just as there is with ethnicities.

Everyone is depressed and has "mental health issues" and anxiety, i wonder how many of them had it declared by a doctor and not by their twitter friends.
“Mental health issues”? Why quotations?
Except most mental issues are easily diagnosed
You do realize that getting a diagnose for depression is as simple as going to the doctor's office, right? They don't have any special device that detects "true" depression, you tell them you're depressed and they give you a paper saying you're depressed. That's what diagnosing depression is, it relies entirely on self-reporting the corresponding
symptoms.

This desperately needs more likes
This is because of the Soyboy who started bended to the will of these people.
I'll keep this in mind

When will people finally learn that APOLOGIZING NEVER EVER WORKS?
If anything, apologizing and kowtowing only legitimizes your unjust treatment
RIP terry
Seems that SJWs aren't the only remorseless scum with victim complexes, then.
Caleb is such a chad that nearby females feel groped after just seeing him for 2-3 minutes.
grab em by the poosi
Turns out he has a Stand whose power is to invisibly grope everyone nearby.
"I'm two of your hosts."
ProtoMagicTrucker acting like Chris Chan.
Proto might be Chris Chan in disguise and we might not know it. I mean Porto might be a lolcow like Chris (correct me if I am wrong).
Wait, like the skateboarder Chris Chan?
What's up with him?
Took the “two wolves” meme to its logical conclusion.
Can't unsee
That sounded exactly like something Chris Chan would say without even thinking about the implications of it. That sounds like multiple personality disorder/schizophrenia
I understand how Caleb feels. I'm currently going through something similar where a woman came forward to claim I was drunk at a party and touched her inappropriately. Which would stand ground if it wasn't for the fact that I was with my girlfriend all night and didn't have any drinks that night. Not sure why someone would do that, but there are people like that out there.
Bonesaw run is THE funniest run I've watched. Might have to watch it again.
Wow, that's a huge snake.

The weirdos and control freaks killed GDQ for me a long time ago.
