It is amazing how well the cummins fits in her ! Thumbs Up ! Low profile cowl or stock hood. Better as a sleeper. IMO. But then again who am I. She's your baby ! And real sharp !
Im for sure going stock hood now. Since I went with the 48RE I didnt have to move the engine up for the transmission like I was going to with the Allison. So I should be able to keep the stock hood which I like best on these trucks.
i am just starting this same conversion on a 2000 short bet crew cab 56k 12valve P pump engine Allison trans can you shoot me all the info on racetracks pulleys balancer etc i would appreciate it
A company called Gforce performance made it. Really nice piece. www.crossmembers.com/products/cummins-allisson-adapter-kit?_pos=12&_sid=86b703f3f&_ss=r
KEN GIRARD hey OSHA! You’re right. There was a good reason I wouldn’t slide all the way under it while I was loosening those crossmember bolts up. Had to move the stands out for the engine hoist.

Pople BackyardFarm Thanks for the feed back! I’m definitely trying my best to keep it interesting and entertaining.
How are you controlling the Allison? Do you have a video talking about it?
Nice! 👍
Meh- canics thanks! It’s definitely coming along. Lots of work ahead still.

my truck is ram 2500 diesel model 2000
Is there such a thing as a shallow pan for the allison and use a remote resevoir? Just throwing ideas out that may exist already.
What a fool to not use jack stands.
I know right. I admit it wasn’t wise. But I also never slid my torso under the chassis. Just my arms which cleared even without the truck being up.
Hi, I'm ulises and I would like to know how much it costs to install the allison transmission, labor and transmission
Cut the hood out and show off the Cummins instead of getting a cowl hood :p
Stephen Williams lol. It would just be like one valve cover sticking out.
