Hey man I have a 97 ram 2500 with the good old Ppump 12v. I bought my truck with a “rebuilt” auto then had to immediately rebuild it. Spent 6700 on the 2nd rebuild of the trans and torque converter and had it built for 750hp yet not even two years later it’s leaking and slipping at only 450hp curious how much power a 6speed Allison can hold and what’s the cost breakdown for parts

What issues did you have with your Allison? That's an amazing tranz if your running the Allison controller vs GM. I'm putting a 1000 behind my Ppumped 24V with tap shift for towing & the 6th gear upgrad. 3.54 gears, 37in tires & HD241 Tcase. Longbed 4door square body.

Did you ever figure out what that sounds was?

What did you do for a crossmembers for the transmission? I’m in the process of a similar swap in a 12valve/48re swap and I’m wanting to use the oem dodge crossmember and fab up my own end mounts to bolt it to.

I feel your pain, I’m doing Cummins and Allison out of a Freightliner and it’s been cumbersome. I’m trying to keep everything original from the engine and transmission point. I’m a family man as well and slowing getting there. Maybe the idea could be to lower the engine mounts. Hope your luck is getting g better. Still watching your episodes not sure where your at in the process. Best wishes and I’ll take any advice myself. I finally can afford this some not that much

they make a shallow pan and you can do a remote dry sump on the trany

Buddy, this sucks lemons all the way but that is what makes it so good if and when we finally get to the top. I started over a couple times and first was a divorce, and second was a fire.... that one really took me hard as who can afford all the insurances and still eat. You have talent so don't give up or in. Maybe do some of those Copart car sales where insurance totals and you fix and sell. At least you got all forms of transportation there. I haven't seen a helicopter in their lineup but bikes to yachts are there.... I know you can find something that you can afford to do and not get real crazy..... that includes selling a few hondas and other too short for me rigs. Good luck
