    Hello sweet friends and family. I’m Dr. Erika and I’m sharing what I eat in a day on OMAD. I’ve been a daily intermittent faster since June 2018. I’ve lost and kept off 60lbs for 3 years. I also exercise everyday. I’d love for you to join me on this journey as I share my story.

    My favorite places to shop are Aldi, Publix and Walmart. My favorite meal this week: I’m intrigued by the vegan meatloaf. Would like to try that one day…it looks delicious! Great job! I love these videos ❤

      I live near or work near 2 Aldi’s, so it’s super easy for me to stop. I get great deals and fresh produce, the majority of the time. I’m going out of town this week, and I’m really considering just cooking my own meals in the room. What advice do you have for when you’re on vacation and finding vegan/plant based options?

    You are so right about self care. I haven't done that for years. I've started that. I stopped working out like I was suppose to. I am also a faster. I've lost 61 lbs as of this morning when I weighed myself. 9 lbs from my 16 lbs from my goal. I tried the omad and it drained me. I do the fast for 18 hours but I eat two smaller meals. I eat at 2pm and end at 6pm everyday. When I ate omad for a little while, I felt so tired. I looked it up and so many people felt the same way. They felt drained so I went back to two meals. I guess omad is not for everyone but I feel great. Fasting is the only thing that has ever made me lose this much. Usually I would've been on my way to gaining it back. I've lost 40 lbs but that wasn't enough. I feel great I can't eat that much at once.

    August 10,2023 new subbie here. Listen I don't know how I got here , all I know that you're heaven sent. It's time for me to get my life together and show up for myself. I lost my mom sister to uterine cancer 8/24/2020 and my 87 year old mom on 9/6/2020 to hearts problems. February 12,2023 my nephew was found on the train dead with empty heart medication in his backpack and July 9, 2023, my only brother passed away with complications of liver disease. Chile it's time for me to live! I'm obese and no stranger to fasting or OMAD. Consistency is key! I'm getting back on my grind. You have blessed me on today. Thank you for sharing.

    You are an inspiration !!! I never could eat oatmeal due to texture. I started eating steel cut oats cooked so it's like creamy rice. It's now my hardy lunch with fruit and 1 TBL of unsweetened peanut butter.

    Hello beautiful day queens and kings this is my first day here as a subscriber to your channel and I must tell you I'm amazed my niece sent this to me today this morning on my fast day with ADF AND YES I'M LOVING THE CHANGE I have hiccups where I get sick and nauseous but I press through it but Imma get this done I'm 52 by 53 I want to look more amazing my birthday is December 23rd I will be putting up results when that day come and if you are Port prayer warrior keep me in your prayers I got to do this and I will do it.. on my OMAD imma try the salads and soups and I noticed since I've been doing fasting my taste buds have changed everything is good more than what it was because I guess because I'm not eating like I usually eat so now I'm taking the time out to understand the taste of everything that goes in my mouth everything when I tell you I am so grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ I cried as I write this I have tears in my eyes because I said there's something out there for me as well I cannot do a diet I'm not doing surgery to each their own I just can't do it and I don't want to do but I am 225 lb and I hope when this is over I'll be at least 170 lb Dec 23,2023. We got this.❤️💯🙏🏾👑

    Hi, I just came across the channel today August 11, 2023 and I’ve been doing intermittent fasting one meal a day and I’m a foodie and I love to snack I love sweets, but I’m trying today to cut out sugar down to 1 to 2 g of sugar if no sugar and I really don’t eat much carbs so I’m motivated gonna watch you eat more greens and juicing I’m just excited I really wanted to nap because I did not want to play to get a tummy tuck or alive or I want to do it at the gym the natural way and see results I don’t need no quick fix a microwave body I know this will be a journey that I’ll never forget and enjoy

    I am so proud of you. This is very inspirational. I have been struggling trying to do omad but I'm a huge snacker and stress eater. I plan to try and get it under control, but I have been doing healthy snacks , just too many. Praying and don't plan on giving up.

      @@fitfastingdoctor thanks again for the encouragement. So I have a praise report. Although I had been struggling here and there with the snacking trying to work my way to strict omad.... most of the snacking I was doing was on watermelon. And i have to have my creamer in my coffee. Other than that I have only been having 1 real meal...got on the scales this morning and I'm down 8.8 lbs in about 3 weeks!! This makes me want to try even harder. Thanks for your videos. And I did the 16:8 yesterday as u suggested and it wasn't bad. At noon Ate watermelon and some pickled okra and coffee before my big meal at 530. And ate a cutie orange and okra when I got hungry before 8pm and I was satisfied.

      Always morning coffee with creamer, but once I realized the creamer was how I broke my fast it needed to go!

    Just found your channel today. I'm 53 and I have been working out five or six days a week since June 6th and I have not lost any weight. Im Definitely stronger but the scale is not moving. It's very frustrating. I read somewhere that it could be due to inflammation in my body or just gaining muscle... I need to lose 50 to 60 lbs. I don't want to give up but yet it's starting to affect my psyche

      Stay with it. You are making an incremental improvement. Others will notice the difference even if the scale doesn’t match up with your efforts. You might be healing yourself internally, you may have body recomposition.

      did you take your measurements? that may help because you might be loosing inches. Also use the free fitness pal to track your food intake.

      Focus on nutrition exercising is good but you have to eat well.Are you into fasting? Follow a healthy alternative on youtube they talk a lot about fasting.

      1/2 c old fashioned oats (quaker or great value from Walmart)
      1/2 c water
      1 apple
      Cinnamon, brown sugar, agave nectar, powdered PB 2 (I don’t measure. Make to your liking/sweetness)

    How many calories do eat when you OMAD?Is there a time frame window? Do you eat within a certian amount of time?

      Hey sweet friend! I don’t count calories anymore. I’ve been a faster since June 2018. When I was tracking, it would be anywhere between 1500-2000. I just encourage everyone to listen to their body. My eating window is usually from 6-8pm but I’ve had to modify that slightly since I’m training for a marathon ❤️❤️

      I like Aldi as well. I don’t go often anymore. They’re building a Costco about 15 minutes away from me. It will be finished the end of this year. I’ll definitely try it out 😊

    Since you a dentist and fasting for most of the day, can you please tell me how to keep your breath fresh? If I havent eating enough I sometimes get a smelly breath 😔 ( I dont have any cavities but I do have pockets)

      I experience the same “fasting breath”. I gargle mouthwash a few times a day. I think that helps 😊

    Does the hunger ever go away? I have been on the OMAD for 2 weeks 😢. I feel GREAT, but I am still hungry from 11 AM - 6:30 (when I have my meal)

      Yes it does!! Some things that help me are making sure I eat enough during my eating window. Also, I make sure I eat plenty of protein and also some fats. That’s what helps get me through the next day’s fast. It keeps me full longer. Also, drink plenty of water. I hope this helps 😊

      Everyone will be different. I’ve lost a total of 60 lbs with OMAD and exercise. There are some people who don’t exercise and are successful 😊
